"As we entered Yasmeen Restaurant we were welcomed with a smile and seated immediately. There were ten of us altogether out on a work do and I'm always skeptical when in a group that the service won't be able to manage all of our expectations, but I must say... I was very pleasantly surprised. The waitresses were attentive, the ambiance was comfortable and the Lebanese food was delicious and served fresh in good time. I, and a few of my colleagues had the shish taouk main which I'd recommend as we all thought it was very tender. Some of my other colleagues had the falafel, baba ganoushe and kibbeh etc... at the end of the evening, it was clear that everyone really enjoyed their meal! All in...read more"

"Really authentic looking restaurant. Filled with Middle Eastern diners …, so has a real Lebanese feel to it. Excellent service. Only thing is the food. Had the lamb and humus starter. Lamb very tough/ dry. Reminded me of South African biltong. Humus plain could have done with some olive oil/ paprika like other countries do. Maybe that’s not a Lebanese thing but would have helped the dry lamb. Main course lamb chops spiced well but really over cooked/ dry. Lamb cubes were ok. Both served with rice/ again ok. Garlic sauce and spicy sauce were really good. Would I go back? For the ambience yes. For the food no!"

"We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Thursday night, which was disappointing. However, we enjoyed some delicious meat mezze to start and the main dishes were very tasty. The marinade used on the meat made it moist and tender. I ordered the lamb cutlets and was pleasantly surprised to find 5 on my plate. The baklavas for dessert were okay. The only downside was that I mentioned it was a birthday dinner, but they did not do anything special for the occasion."

"My starter was supposed to be something stuffed with minced meat, and it seemed to be bits of very thin flat bread and no meat at all and a little bit of very basic salad. My companion thought that yes there was some meat inside the flat bread, but I could taste nothing and could hardly see it you'd almost need a microscope. The shawarma I had for main was bits of lamb tasting of nothing much and chips wheras I was sure I ordered rice with it, and the chips were ordinary soggy chips anyway, not fries. No nice sauces. It was just like very basic English food and you wouldn't think you were in a Lebanese restaurant. My companion found the meat dry, and didn't think the service was good, I was okay with the service. I've found this restaurant to be of variable quality and was let down badly before on service, but the last time I was there it was good. So I won't be visiting it again."

"Wonderful evening! Thank you to the team at Renoufs Southbourne. We had a lovely evening with some fantastic cheese and wine! We ordered the £39.95 sharing board which came with a choice of 3 meats and 3 cheeses, pate, bread and pickles. We added a baked camembert, hot chorizo and one extra cheese. Probably a mistake on our part as we had to leave some as there was so much! The cheeses were lovely, in particular the Red Devil chilli cheese was gorgeous. The meats were great, especially the venison salami. Special shout out to James, the manager and sommelier, who suggested the orange wine, Martin Codax. It was really quite special. Thank you! We should also mention Imogen, who took our order and was very polite, professional and friendly. We ordered gluten free bread, but we didn't make it clear it was for the both of us (our fault), so when 2 baskets came out, one gluten and one gluten free, they changed the gluten one without quibble. Lovely ambience, fantastic staff and some of the nicest cheeses we have had. Also, very reasonably priced. Thanks guys, and see you again soon!"

"Traditional Lebanese restaurant, serving delicious, authentic cuisine at very reasonable prices. Plenty of open air seating with heaters. "The food here , esp Indian starters are delicious. i always ask for aloo tikki chat and pav bhaji and consistently it has been tasty. this time we asked for chilli paneer starter and it was tasty too. the main course if fine too. Salt has an amazing list of whiskeys which i like and also lots of other alcohol. we were who went for dinner and would have liked a table outside because of our friends like shisha. but they wouldn't give us a table outside because wanted us to take shishas atleast to get a table outside. surely if we are having dinner and then one shisha that should have been considered because it is not the case that we were just going to order one shisha and block a table for hours. we were also ordering food. they should consider this going forward because we come to Salt bar for food and shisha but not everyone does shisha. So dont make us choose between only food or shisha"

"We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant, thanks to its great atmosphere that greeted us as soon as we arrived. The menu offered a wide range of options to choose from, and the staff made some excellent recommendations. After we placed our orders, we appreciated the complimentary soup that the restaurant provided. Our meals were served promptly, and from the very first bite, we were impressed by the quality of the food. Both my wife and I would rate this restaurant a solid 4 out of 5."

"beautiful, authentic decoration, friendly staff who like to explain what the food was. Not a huge menu, but enough to choose from which I prefer to see it clearly (and taste) that thought and effort in what we have done for us. not hurry to decide what we wanted, beautiful and relaxed. would have eaten again. endpoint, on the menu there is a baby chicken main course. it's not a gone baby, it was a whole huh, that was beautiful!"

"it is a great restaurant in the region Lebanese that gives them the effort to travel to the center of london to find another. we had a problem with our table when we arrived and they tried to sit the ones of us in the middle of a pack restaurant, but they soon realized that it would not work so that they moved us to a table on the back. service was good and was so to expect, but above all eating was great."

"Shawa is located in the food court of Westfield shopping mall in White City, and is a wonderful place to grab a Lebanese mezze.. The service was very good and my meal was ready within 5-10 minutes. I tried the chicken platter and was pleasantly surprised at the generous portion size provided to me. The wrap consisted of diced chicken breast marinated with Middle Eastern spices served with pickled cucumber, salad and garlic mayonnaise. This was accompanied by houmous, tabbouleh and Lebanese fries. My meal provided a nice blend of eastern cuisine and I really enjoyed the different herbs and spices. Seating is comfortable and the area is modern and very well maintained and the décor is also...read more"

"Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I wouldn’t even give them 1 star if that was an option. I booked a table for my family of 9 for Eid, (siblings, in-laws, etc) and the booking was for 5pm. We arrived on time and ordered our drinks and main courses. We finished eating at 6:15pm and asked to order tea and desserts. The owners refused to serve us anything else because they said they had another booking and needed the table. The restaurant was empty except us and a table of 2 girls sitting by the window. I asked what time the other booking was for and they said 6:40 so after practically begging to be allowed to order a dessert, they said they could manage to serve a falooda, (as if they were doing us a favour for our business)! I’ve never experienced such bad service from a restaurant, we had travelled a long way to visit and the owners and waitresses who were Muslim, (hijab wearing) women could see we were there as a family to celebrate Eid. They made us feel so unwelcome. We left feeling so disappointed because when we phoned to book the table the day before, they had not mentioned that we would only have such a short time allowed in the restaurant. What kind of restaurant only allows a group of 9 an hour for a meal. Had they of advised that we would only be allowed to stay an hour or an hour and a half then we wouldn’t have bothered travelling over an hour to dine here especially as we were celebrating Eid as a family! I found this rude. At a time when small businesses are struggling, one would think custom and spending would be appreciated. It was our first visit here and will certainly be our last. To top it off, they tried to charge £15 service charge when the service was so poor. The food was nothing special and the service was despicable. When Muslims can’t welcome other Muslims on Eid in the food and hospitality industry what else can be said. Don’t bother going here, there’s plenty of alternatives in the area. Overpriced for what it is and customer service is shameful, spend your money elsewhere, we spent £150 but wish we’d gone somewhere where we could have enjoyed a 3 course meal and finished with dessert/tea/coffee as most people want to on an evening out to socialise with friends and family. Terribly rude inconsiderate people working here. Standard food, not worth it. They chat £4.95 for a 1.5l bottle of volvic water, come on at least dress it up in a smart bottle if you’re going to try and rip customers off like that, daylight robbery, 80p on Tesco! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!"

"My friends and I visited this restaurant yesterday and had an amazing time. The place had a nice atmosphere and the staff was polite and attentive. The menu looked great and we ordered a dish for four people which turned out to be more than enough. Everything on the plate tasted delicious with generous portions and amazing flavors. To top it off, we had saffron ice cream with pistachios which was heavenly. I highly recommend trying this place when you visit. Highly recommended!"
