"Beautiful café with an independent shop inside. Good for picking up beautiful gifts. Food options are pretty good for lunch, mostly sandwiches, had some of them over time. The coffee is also good, and the wild hunter smoothie was great! Worthing branch has more brunch options, although for example pancakes!"

"This place is ALWAYS busy so be prepared to be in a noisy environment. If you don't mind that, their service is usually great, swift and unless you go at peak weekend times, you can usually get a seat. The food is pretty good. I love taking the banana bread or one of the sandwiches. Coffee is just ok, I wouldn't say it's brilliant. Overall really like this place, but would love if they had more space for it to feel less crowded and improved the coffee!"

"This restaurant is a beautiful place that I believe is facing difficulties due to the bad news of COVID-19. People may be feeling confused, but I encourage them not to lose hope. The restaurant could benefit from having a front person, a host who can connect with customers and bring energy into the business. We were unsure about the food, but it seemed to be a mix of Moroccan and Turkish cuisine. I wish the restaurant good luck in the future, and I will definitely be back to show my support."

"Great place but starting to look a bit tired. Toilets are an issue as limited and not particularly clean which is always a red flag! Try and get an attendant who is ideally not serving food, to check the loos every 15 mins and discourage patrons from allowing their dogs to sit on the seats. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch"

"I had the best lunch surprise at Opposite! After hearing great things about this new place, I decided to check it out, and it was amazing. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and it was great value for money. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were friendly. As I was leaving, one of the staff members even recommended that I try sitting in the outdoor seating area next time. I absolutely loved everything about my experience and will definitely be returning soon! Highly recommend giving it a try."

"After watching the owner Rosie on professional masterchef and checking the menu from her restaurant I thought I would treat my daughter for lunch, we were not disappointed, we had great food and great service which made the drive fom Canterbury in atrocious weather worth it . Maybe open up another cafe/restaurant in Canterbury it would do very well"

"We dined at the pre-theater seating, which meant it was early in the evening, but the warm summer night allowed for the doors to be wide open, making the restaurant feel bright and airy. A few tables were occupied both inside and outside. The service was excellent and accommodating to our time constraints, yet we still managed to enjoy three courses. There was a large selection of vegetarian and fish dishes, and the desserts were simply divine. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. However, there weren't many meat or vegan options available. The wine list was adequate; we tried a sparkling wine (Arras) that was a bit disappointing. Overall, we consider our experience excellent because all aspects were thoroughly checked and met our expectations."

"Booked a table for 10 for Brunch today (Saturday) always very busy and booked in advance. The whole day menu was more brunch than lunch, but great choice for all diets. Eating was all freshly cooked and nicely served in good time. The staff were friendly and attentive, but started clear records when others still eat, rude! Dog friendly a real bonus and many people wait for a table always a good sign. The Chi Latte were amazing! A few problems were not glasses and not enough cutlery, but soon resolved. Work at £25 a head for brunch and a drink. Recommended to be back with definitely ."

"Read some very good reviews about this restaurant... but were slightly disappointed. Bottle of wine was reasonably priced and good. Very extensive drinks menu compared to a rather limited food menu! Starter was too salty for me (tiger prawn and chorizo scotch egg) and my friend's venison carpaccio was too cooked and not what we would expect for a carpaccio. The steamed dumpling of Scottish lobster, scallops and cod was weirdly presented and was bland. Mains were better but my friend's side order never appeared before we finished our main course... I had the buckwheat crepe with smoked avocado ratatouille failed to find any avocado flavour and although it was nice, cannot comprehend why it was so pricey. Duck was nicely cooked and so was the pork belly. The whole meal was over 40 pounds per person... hopefully will be better next time we come!"

"Desperate for a decent coffee (after taking the risk I often avoid and opting for my hotel’s filter brew and ruining my morning happy) en route to the ferry from Brownsea Island, we stumbled across the Dancing Goat through a frantic google search ‘best coffee near me’. Well, Google didn’t tell me any lies! A Double espresso and some toast with smashed avocado, chilli flake, olive oil, and lime later and my morning happy fully restored, we skipped off to find some red squirrels. The baristas were so friendly as well. If I hadn’t blown my weekend budget the night before on cocktails that led to such a dire coffee requirement the next morning I’d definitely had left with some goat swag too. There are t-shirts!!"

"MrsC decided, as part of her recovery, for us to meet at Bicester Village for a wander in the Autumn sunshine and perchance to get some victuals whilst we were about it. I met her at the well appointed Bicester Village station (which must have the best waiting room, by far, of any network rail destination in the country) early doors and we pootled over to Farmshop for a late breakfast. We were seated swiftly, on entering, on a row of two cover seatings along the expansive framed windows alongside a walkway into the outlet village. A minor concern, on scanning the menu, was the perceived absence of both dairy alternatives for the drinks and a plant based breakfast choice beyond coconut yoghurt, granola and berries (which someone on the adjacent table had and looked very good). Somewhat perversely we found a cooked “plant based” breakfast in the Eggs section? Which, in concert, we both ordered and then were informed by our server, Nikole, that they had a plethora of PB alternatives for their hot drinks. So we added a coconut flat white, for MrsC, and a decaf oat milk latte pour moi. Both the drinks and food were despatched to the table in good time and were very good. The PB brekkie dispensed with faux meat items and the, now, ubiquitous scrambled tofu and a large oval plate was generously filled with; Fresh wilted greens with a soupçon of salt crystals and chopped chives Two gently softened fresh halved tomatoes Half an avocado mixed with fresh mint Two decent sized freshly cooked flat cap mushrooms Two slices of toasted sourdough (sadly bereft of any spread) Some disappointing canned baked beans and Less than homemade mini hash browns. All in all a light, but substantial, vegan breakfast with, mostly, freshly cooked ingredients of good quality. Coffees were good to boot. Service was light touch but attentive and warm and we enjoyed a great start to our meander around the “village”. It would probably warrant a 4.5 but for the irritating and unnecessary addition of a 13.5% “discretionary” service charge to the bill. I recognise I’m a curmudgeonly old fart but, on two counts, I find these additions an affront. Firstly “discretionary” means an individuals choice; not one unilaterally applied by the restaurant for the customer to have the “discretion” to remove it! As MrsC will willingly avow, especially if alcohol has been involved, I am more than willing to apply the traditional discretionary service thank-you (or tip as we used to refer to it) both regularly and generously. Further frustratingly there is no blanket suggestion that said 13.5% is given to the backroom staff or front of house. Secondly why is there a need to add a service charge and negatively differentiate yourselves? If my breakfast needs to be priced at ,a not unreasonable, £14.76 rather than the menu price of £13.00 than so be it. That’s far more honest and transparent than the route taken and a whole lot less alienating than the current practice. Surely there’s an expectation that if I’m ordering a meal via table service that it will be delivered to me where I’m sat? It seems churlish to add a sum to the bill for the taking of my order and its delivery to me. In summary. Service was great Food was very good. Menu could be clearer. Restaurant space is great with good atmosphere Service charge is a nonsense. Would I recommend it. Of course. There’s loads more positives than downsides and the quality and quantity of the food and the service itself is spot on."

"This place has gone completely downhill. I've been a customer in here for years and I won't be back after the service I have received today. The waitresses were inattentive. We had to ask for cutlery after our food was served. We had to ask for drinks twice. When the bill came we had been overcharged. The waitress stood over us with the card machine impatiently, probably because she didn't want to give us time to check the bill. It was utter rudeness. I don't know if this place has changed hands, but it's definitely not the place it used to be."

"I haven’t had the opportunity to try out the new Plants by de yet, but I went to the deli two years ago and enjoyed the food experience very much. I am a big fan of Ella and loved trying out her wonderful recipes at the deli. The space was beautifully decorated with such an inviting and cozy atmosphere. It had lots of natural light, which made the place seem bigger. The service was alright, but the prices were a bit expensive. I had the corn fritters with smokey baked beans and avo smash for lunch simply amazing! I couldn’t resist, so I tried the peanut cookies and the banana bread also, which were just as great. This was undoubtedly one of the food highlights of my London trip. Everything was as delicious as it looks! I’m excited to try out the new place soon and to update this review then!"

"On a day trip to Thorpeness in June 2023 and I had already looked online and read good reviews about the Dolphin. Walked in at lunchtime, had not booked, and was greeted and offered a choice of where to sit we wanted to sit inside) and had a table for two in a quiet part of the restaurant. There is another area which looks out on to the gardens but that area was busy and noisy so we were very pleased with our table location. Now on to the food : the waitress that came to our table was very friendly and we chose to have the Dolphin’s deal of two steaks and two glasses of house wine at an inclusive price. Wife asked for a glass of water as well and we were promptly brought a bottle of chilled water which we enjoyed with the food and the wine. Although it was a ‘house’ red wine we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Shame it was the middle of the day and driving otherwise another glass would have been ordered ! Two steaks duly arrived with gorgeous chips and a flavourful mixed salad. My steak was perfectly cooked medium and my wife was delighted with her medium-to-well done. You might be bored by now, reading this lengthy review but when a pub/restaurant provides such good food with excellent service they deserve to receive a good review. Well done to the chef and waitresses at The Dolphin. Wish I lived closer and could visit again."

"I’m a big fan of Power’s and have been visiting for many years. The perfect spot for long catch ups with a friend. Staff always lovely and welcoming, and the food is always delicious! My favourites include the pancakes with berries and the smashed avocado on sourdough, but everything else I’ve had is always great too! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon. "My wife and I went here yesterday. We thought it was a nice little cafe. Service was good and so was the food. My wife got a white hot chocolate which was quite unique because had white chocolate on a stick. It tasted pretty good. I got the homemade chai which was also quite different because it was milky and had a pot of honey on the side. I enjoyed it. For food my wife got poached eggs on breakfast muffins which she very tasty. Eggs were cooked were cooked spot on. However, my wife thought bacon was a little over cooked. I was greedy and got the banana bread with berries and mascarpone and I got the almond bostock special. I enjoyed both. Nice flavours and a bit different. The service was pretty good and the staff were friendly. We got a brownie and flapjack to take away. Brownie was nice and flapjack was ok. Overall everything was good but probably not warrant a 5 stars."

"gluten free risotto to be here! and they even have it tailored (which meant that they cook it fresh, it was 't stewing in a pot) which was great. I had the mushroom spinat pasta, which was delicious, and of course was nabeby the gf Risotto food! it was jumbo garnel and they were really. I liked the cordial fizz (raspberry flavored) not as sweet as a soft drink, but refreshing. the place was busy on a Saturday night, so it was a bit slow to get out, but it wasn't so long. in any case on that could list again."

"Had an absolutely incredible dinner here at the Curious Kitchen last night. Front of house was attentive and friendly, and all aspects of the decor and ambience were spot on- informal and tasteful. Chef Adam effortlessly brought together a beautiful 3 course meal, not before a delicate little amuse-bouche soup of squash and fresh sourdough with smoked butter. The summer veg salad was light and crunchy, followed by the star of the show, the lamb. Tender and rich with a stunning gravy and velvety minted Hollandaise, I could have buried my face in the plate. The lemon posset to finish was very clever, as it cleansed the pallet with sharp rhubarb and refreshing lemon, yet wasn't too heavy. An absolute triumph. Keep up the good work people"
