"this place is immaculate. very clean, very clean, they can see into the kitchen when they sit in the ground floor and it is simply beautiful. I was on Monday, so I know it wasn't the busiest that could have been, but the staff ran a very tight ship and I was impressed. my icy latte was very nice, and the avocado toast was also delicious the roasted seeds are a really nice note, add some nuts and crisp. beautiful simple menu, easy to lock or remove any option to make it an eat. only problems are access there are steps to the door, steps to the toilet, and since it is quite small, there is not much space for prms/mobility aids."

"I have been longing for this restaurant since I left Australia. Funny enough, I was just talking to a friend last night about how amazing this place is."

"We went there twice during our Bank Holiday weekend in Penzance. Pleased to see so many options for vegans like me. My Vietnamese noodle salad was OK, but I quickly realised they had forgotten the tofu (which would have made it very expensive!! They promptly brought a bowl of cold, diced tofu (and did the same for the nearby table maybe the person in the kitchen hadn't been told about all the ingredients? Anyway it was a bit bland but filling. My ginger smoothie was too strong for me, I had to add water to it! My partner enjoyed his halloumi sandwich. We decided to come back 2 days later to try other items on the menu this time I absolutely LOVED my vegan sandwich! It had vegan feta instead of halloumi, and the chili jam was incredible. We also found the soup of the day (dahl really yummy. We ended up staying for 2 hours as it was so rainy outside. We had incredible desserts, both vegan: banana bread with chocolate spread, and lemon, mint and elderflower cake. We also had herbal tea. All in all it is a cosy place, although it is a victim of its success: very busy, which meant that we had to wait quite a long time for service. You also have to walk through the kitchen to go to a small toilet. Not ideal, but I can see that they are planning to update this! It is a bit on the pricey side, but worth it if you're looking for fresh veggie/vegan options."

"I very much hate to give a bad review but I do get frustrated with places that think that by stating vegan on the menu they are actually supplying something decent. If vegan food is just an after thought then I think best leave it off the menu. I went in this time for the vegan freak shake, it was warm, watery and had no flavour. A normal freak shake from them has ice cream, this was some chocolate sauce and almond milk and a small bit of cake for £6. Plenty of supermarkets have vanilla ice cream now, there is no excuse. It’s local, so it’s a shame. Maybe if they widen their vegan menu I may go back."

"have recently been trying to explore Edinburgh a little more, and with the weather being as nice recently I could wander round Edinburgh without getting cold or rained on. During my wanders I discovered my new favourite coffee shop, Cairngorm Coffee Co. I love stumbling upon place like this, it's one of the reasons I love Edinburgh sp much. This coffee shop is on Fredrick Street, and other than the metal bike attached to the railing outside that says Cairngorm Coffee you almost wouldn't notice it was there. It is down some stairs and below ground level. It isn't huge, but it has a quite a few tables and seats, as well as seats on the street and also outside the door next to the stair. It also has two iPads built into one of its work benches which are free to use, which I think is a great touch!! Not to mention the free wifi if you needed it. It has a really relaxed vibe, and the music they play is so good, they played some really good stuff including the Kooks and James Bay, I loved it, I didn't need to stick my headphones in. In terms of food, it was super yummy! I had a grilled cheese sandwich which was incredible. I then had a salted caramel brownie which was also amazing, and the coffee was so good. They also had a water dispenser which had bits of water melon in it, so the water tasted a little of water melon and I really liked that. You could help yourself to as much or as little water as you wanted. This place has only been open a year, but I wish I hand discovered it much sooner, I just love it. I could spend all day in here easily, I highly recommend!!"

"I had visited The Juice Smith before when it was very busy, so this time I made a reservation for my wife and myself just after 9am on a Sunday morning. Luckily, the café was quiet when we arrived. The waitstaff were very helpful and recommended unique dishes on the menu. Based on their suggestion, I ordered the 'Potato hash brown, harissa sautéed kale, roasted rainbow peppers, plum tomato, and avocado' for £14.25, which was fresh, delicious, and filling. My wife had the 'Creamy oat porridge' for £9.50 and a side of sourdough toast with churned TJS butter and chia jam, all of which were highly recommended. The butter was exceptionally creamy and a must-try. The food was served promptly and presented beautifully. I highly recommend The Juice Smith and can't wait to return soon."

"I visited the Red Lion last weekend with my son. As soon as we walked through the door we were given a very warm welcome by the lovely landlady and her son, Gwen and Rob. My son and I are very fussy eaters and when ordering our food we asked to swap and change things for our meal. They were very helpful in doing this and it was no trouble for them. Gwen and Rob were both very friendly and they made my son laugh and took an interest (unlike most places who turn their nose up at children). My son thoroughly enjoyed and cannot wait to go back. The service was outstanding, I would highly recommend."

"oh, my god to disappoint; hopeless service and a deficiencies of hunters on a Friday night, since word has obviously come out. pity, as the room is large (big curved windows on a corner road with space for a handful of exterior shielded from the street) this local restaurant looked and booked during the day of a Sunday to take a friend who came out of town on Friday night. first there was a disjunct with menu available (only pizza) and menu online (a la carte;) then the menu was kept very easy, which is ok, but none of their suggested combinations grabbed me and then half the ingredients were unavailabble or alternative to specified anyway (e.g. no smoked salmon for the smoked salmon spices available. the goats were actually only straight goat cheese, etc. the service was very sweet, but very slow, amateur and absent, although there are only a few more diners present. my pizza was a little smokey, but edible; my friend was not and we left with him uneaten on the teller behind us to trace back to the other side of the (Brockley-Bahn)."

"Our first visit today. I am a meat eater (reducing my intake of meat though) and the Mrs is a vegan and it is so difficult to find somewhere that serves a balance of food suitable for her and that will keep me interested too. There are so few places around East Lancashire/above Manchester so we were delighted to get a recommendation for Earthlings from our vegan friend. Simple elegant decor and a spotlessly clean premises, an interesting menu and specials board and very friendly staff. So...the food I went for the breakfast burrito, a beautiful purple coloured wrap with mushrooms, ‘Sosage’ pattie and whole earth baked beans, salad leaves and tomatoes on the side. I would have licked the plate clean had social etiquette allowed. The Mrs went for the Pumpkin seed, quinoa and Chia burger with slaw salsa and a few sweet potato cubes on the side from the specials board. I didn’t try hers, but she made approving noises and faces whilst she ate and said after how nice it was. Dessert was choc orange cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla Booja Booja ‘ice cream’ for me and Lavender and Lemon cheesecake with a scoop of berry sorbet for the Mrs. A cappuccino and an Americano brought the bill to around £33 money well spent and we will definitely be going back!"

"I really wanted to like this place but sadly it didn't meet up to expectations. The staff were all very polite to me but service was incredibly slow and a majority of people were having to come inside to pay just to get the attention to be able to pay. They were obviously rushed off their feet so I do feel for them as lots of people were complaining. In terms of the good I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and a side of hash browns. The hash browns were expensive for the number that their were (in pic) however tasty and nicely seasoned. The quesadilla was nice in flavour and the chorizo really yummy but the fried egg inside was overcooked and more like a well done scrambled egg and the avocado was almost non existent. The contents were not well spead out so one quarter barely had any contents. The tomato salsa on the top hover was a really tasty addition and I was grateful to get lots of it. They are charging a £2 per table charge road closure fee which feels a bit steep especially if you're on your own it could end up being 20% of your bill. I'd heard such great things and it's obviously very popular bit sadly until these things are sorted I would not reccomend."

"After changing hands, we were naturally worried as we have been going to SALT for over 10 years. Little did we know the new guys would give it the va va voom SALT had all those years ago from day one. Danielle, Thea and the team make sure you are comfortable, well fed and certainly enjoy the experience. What I've enjoyed is seeing the new team sprinkle a little fairy dust on the already delicious menu by adding their own little something something. What more can you ask? Thea and her sweet treats will most certainly keep you coming back for more. We had a range of puddings: banana loaf, tea loaf (GF), brownies (vg) and a cherry tart. My sister is a vegan and as someone who has followed the vegan lifestyle CAKES CAN BE SO SLOPPY and brownies so dry. These were so delicious (I hate the word) but so moist! My partner had: the tots with lemon aioli and the Perky Pig and I had the Vegan's revenge. Really cannot wait to see what else Team SALT does. Absolutely magic team! Top job guys."

"We LOVED this charming little cafe on the front with views of the boats in the harbour and out to sea. Well worth the short walk away from the high street (and introduces you to a quirky little cobbled shopping area it would be a shame to miss). There were several vegan options on the brunch lunch menu and a good selection of vegan cakes as well. All drinks had vegan options. We had avocado and hummus on sourdough toast, granola with fresh fruit, coffees and a coconut babyccino. All delicious. Disappointed that there was no alternative yoghurt for the granola vegan option. The cafe is quite small and there were a couple of high chairs in there but not a great deal of space for pram parking or multiple kids. Fortunately our LO was o a great mood so we had a lovely time but I'd be careful about taking him there again. Highly recommend for a kid-free vegan brunch. No toilets."

"I recently found this gem just a few months ago because it's conveniently located near my workplace. The exterior may not be anything special, but let me tell you, this guy makes the most delicious cappuccino! Additionally, he offers incredible mango and pistachio protein bites. The owner is super friendly and provides excellent customer service. This spot on Hackney Road is hands down the best place to grab a coffee, served with a smile."

"We’ve been coming here for maybe 20 years because it’s at the start (or end depending on which way you’re heading) of the Snowdon Watkin path. Which in my opinion is the best route in terms of scenery. The first time we came here a long time ago when veganism wasn’t as big a deal, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made my partner a lovely hummus and onion sandwich with crisps on the side even though it wasn’t on the menu. From that time onwards, the food has just been getting better and better. Today (17.09.23) we shared an amazing cheese toasty with tasty French onion soup on the side. I also ordered a spring onion roll with salad and coleslaw. Both meals were of a standard that you would struggle to find anywhere in the area. I’m certain you won’t find any cafe, pub or restaurant in the nearby Beddgelert that can compete as I’ve already walked, cycled and driven through there numerous times this year and found nothing worth writing about. Keep it up!"

"First, the good points; The front of house staff were delightful and the breakfast tea was superb. Unfortunately however the kitchen and food were hopeless. We waited close to an hour for our food to arrive, and then it was average at best. Meals described...in the menu as including two eggs, arrived with one. Welsh Rarebit on toast had solidified. Baked beans were a small pot of mainly juice. Disappointed we wasted a valuable hour of our bank holiday. There are many better places to eat in Hove."

"I was enticed to visit this restaurant by my sister who promised me cake and tea after what she described as a “Gentle Stroll” (which turned out to be anything but gentle)! Despite the unexpected adventure, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions served at lunch and the wide selection of delicious cakes. The experience was so enjoyable that we returned the following day to buy some Bakewell Slices to bring home with us."
