"Very underwhelming . We visited on a Sunday (mid morning) hoping for brunch, it soon transpired the kitchen wasn’t open and they were only serving pastries etc from the counter and the usual range of teas coffees. We ordered a couple of pastries (almond croissant and pecan bun) and a sausage roll. All were reasonably nice but clearly had not been made the same day. Coffee was good. The service was distinctly average, in fact the person who brought us our coffees was downright grumpy (didn’t bother to ask who’s drink was who’s, just plonked them down on the table). The feel of the place in contrast to a few years ago is grubby and needs cleaning and redecorating. Had the sense that it’s living off it’s reputation somewhat."

Late sandwich lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Good quality BLT. Lovely coffee. Friendly service. Sitting outdoor, in front of the shop on an unusually quiet Gloucester Road. Not bad at all.

only recently began to go here, did not know what I was missing! ham and cheese, mangle, mandel and chocolate croissants, lemon cured Danish, many other tasty options. natural wood interior is very cozy.

Amazing little cafe, perfect for a lazy brunch. Good quality ‘cafe food’ with a twist, their bread was full of flavour and with great texture. Service was attentive and prompt. Chorizo **** Mary is well worth a try! I’d love to come back one day!

Love this place! It is definitely worth the price as the staff are friendly, the venue is great, you can tell the coffee is made with care, and the croissants are like no other I’ve ever tasted! My sister and I particularly love the almond and brown butter cakes, to the point we’re almost obsessed!

Busy, friendly restaurant at the top of the Gloucester road. Indoor and outdoor seating, table service. I had smashed avocado with two poached eggs on toast, my companion had a beetroot sandwich. Cappuccino was excellent as was the food. Recommended for a light lunch or breakfast. Total cost for two was £22 including two coffees, two meals and two soft drinks.

Based on a recommendation, went in on a Sunday, mid morning. No queue. Spoke directly to the young woman behind the counter and said 'hello '. She just looked at me, but said nothing. Tried again and said 'hi '. Slight pause, 'how can I help you '. Weird really unfriendly. Bought a sourdough loaf, but walked away wishing I hadn 't bothered. Seriously, how hard is it to return a greeting?

that sounds incredibly dramatic, but in juli 2020 I ate a life-changing sandwich at baker co. just top 5 sandwiches of my life. it was a cushiony, softer, but slightly crispy hase filled with apfel chutney, Slav and melt-in-your-mouth boar bell. it was a special weekend, but this is a please for baker co to put it back on the menu! all other baked goods are amazing, but that was really on another level. Please note it to bring it back!

a 1000 mile walk begins with a step and who doesn't love good reward! it is a walk on the gloucester road to reach this place and yes, they will go past many amazing looking coffee shops, but with a goal in understood that they deserve, they need to visit this place! I can't imagine that someone gives them a smile: the baked were hypnotize them, as they peak though then window and if they choose a coffee fanatic (as I get them to choose from 2 coffee beans options! it is not an average coffee place, it is a tasty bite, it is a retreat for her body and understood: enjoy!
