"we've been there and loved the experience. this time the service was far below expectations, but eating was amazing and tasty. the chef came and checked us what was a nice note. the lack of service from our waiter was mainly surprised with our excellent experience from the beginning. we had to ask the busboy (who also made most of the portions) to ask the waiter two times on our refills of drinks and then, when our waiter finally came to ask him again. I hope this review will change the service experience for the restaurant as the cook deserves better staff"

"Definitely the culinary highlight of our holiday the only issue was deciding what to choose! Hubby was a little apprehensive as a confirmed meat eater but he was well catered for too.... Mushroom bruschetta, sirloin steak and warm chocolate and banana cake....all of which he devoured! As a lover of fish I was spoilt for choice but finally settled on the mackerel starter, followed by sea bass and a gorgeous tangy lemon posset. The food was all beautifully presented, piping hot and tasted divine. There was a good choice of reasonably priced wine and the service was efficient and very friendly. If you're in the area don't miss the chance to visit!"

"the place is very nice overall. cozy in colder times especially when sitting next to the fireplace. which is only for a happy couple or a small group. the food proportions are not too big, but the food we tried was always fresh, tasty enough (because this is not sicily) and with a nice touch to presentation. service was almost always with a smile and we were always served very quickly, whether it is just eating or drinking and whether we were sitting outside or inside. the outside area is very beautiful and spacious. food prices are not cheap. I'd say they're a little expensive for what they get. the generous free parking spaces are a very nice note. it helps to know that driving with the car does not create additional parking costs. all in all, it's a nice place and one that we're back a few times."

"Waited 55 minutes for food after ordering. Had a bland steak with a lot of fat and tendons. The burger was dry and ill tasting. The sirloin was not cooked the way it was ordered. When asked how it was, we commented on the long wait and got a lecture on how ‘good’ food takes a while to cook….the least they could have done was check in on us during the long wait, and assure us that it’s coming, and maybe offer some bread. No good service here to compensate for the bad food"

"Decided to have a night over in Petworth as not visited before. Arrived slightly early but were greeted by Will who was very friendly and helpful. Shown to a wonderful room, full of character and charm . Went down to the bar and enjoyed the banter going on between staff and regulars. A lovely friendly place where we were made to feel very welcome. Lovely cooked breakfast too. Highly recommend, great antique shops in the area, quaint streets and Petworth house and grounds were stunning."

"2022 update is just better and better! the top asian resturant in sheffield (we tried the rest has a new menu and it is excellent. really love the dishes that prepare the cook on koko see photos. already booked our next visit to learn more about the menu: wow, what an excellent restaurant. we are in love with the Koko eating experience that has just celebrated a few birthdays in this wonderful sheffield restaurant. the dishes are excellent, everyone is almost an artwork and they taste even better than they look. especially we enjoyed the tsumago sushi rolls that were so delicious with panfried sirloin steak and homemade pesto that we had seconds! manager dan, alice, anthony and top cook felix made the culinary experience at koko there with the best they are all very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes. we are looking forward to our next visit at this top restaurant sheffield. highly recommended."

"Had a lovely stay at the Nogg in. Having spent the week travelling the south west we stayed at 6 different hotels/B B. The Nogg in was by far the most comfortable with a fantastic size shower equipped with plenty of fresh towels bathrobes. We stayed in room 2 which had a huge bed (not sure on size but bigger than king size). A big bonus was waking up to a coffee machine pods in the room. The room looked freshly decorated and no sign of mould anywhere in the bathroom. Larger TV than usual in hotels too. I would definitely recommend and will be staying there again when visiting family local to Wincanton. A real credit to the owners."

"I went in last night with some friends, and it was such a wonderful night. I have been taking part in veganuary and have decided to continue for a while and this restaurant made me feel so welcome and made the whole experience so easy! "DO NOT RECOMMEND. The reviews about the very slow service are no joke. Made a lunch booking for 12pm for my mum 's birthday. Arrived promptly at 12 (we were the 2nd party to be waiting outside the restaurant as they weren 't ready at 12). Fine, it happens. Was seated, got our drinks fine. Got our starters and they forgot the bread for the soup. And then we noticed it started getting busy. However, an hour and a half later we still didn 't have our mains and the tables around us who were seated after us had finished their starters and main by this point. The guy at the bar admitted that this was unacceptable so we just paid for our starter and drinks and left. No don 't worry, drinks on the house for the inconvenience . He couldn 't give an explanation for why our food still wasn 't ready. Couldn 't give us a receipt either so I entered my email to have it emailed (the receipt never came). Just shocking and put a real damper on my mums birthday."

"This was our first time dining in SW1, as we were in search of a new favorite restaurant after the management changed at our previous favorite, The Priory. I believe we have found it!!
