"I do not recommend ordering the fresh prawns at this restaurant as they were not fresh at all. They were served cold and seemed to have been recently defrosted, with a strong fishy odor and some unpleasant residue inside. They were served without any lemon or seasoning, only the unpleasant smell. After eating, I had to stop at the store for Imodium as I felt I might become ill. The burger main dish was also disappointing, as it was tasteless, dry, and lacking seasoning. For £14.50, it was not a good value for money, as it only came with a burger and chips, with no slaw or relish. I will not be returning to this restaurant."

Had an incredible stay at the Nog Inn, Wincanton. What a stunning pub with very well-renovated rooms to stay. Food and service was impeccable, would 100% recommend.

This is a lovely gem, small, friendly environment, great staff, and good food. I've been here a few times but only now getting to a review. Highly recommended for couples, families that want a nice evening meal

What a great pub! Excellent food, excellent beer and fabulous staff. One of the best and we've been to lots. Very accommodating as we hadn't booked but still the staff found a way. Freshly cooked, well-presented and good quality. Highly recommended.

I love this place so much and live in awe that somewhere with such a tiny kitchen consistently produces such superlative food. Three of us had the venison and chestnut casserole and it didappeared at a rate of knots. Well done again to the Nog team! View menu

Sunday lunch is an excellent experience at The Nog (as is the weekday experience) Excellent value, tasty mains and delicious desserts…. Prices are like stepping back in time to pre-COVID 19 levels. Top marks to the owners. Live long and prosper. Servers are friendly and efficient…the epitome of a proper pub.

We visited the Nog Inn on our way to Stourhead and had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and the waitress was really friendly and made sure we got our desserts quickly when we had a bit of a rush at the end. We were sat right by the fire which made it super cosy on a cold wintery evening. Would highly recommended!

Our meal was fantastic. The burger and a beer deal is fantastic value for money and the Cajun Chicken burger is probably the best pub burger I’ve ever had! The relish on the side is delicious too, and the chips are proper thick cut chip! The service from Will, Amy, and the team is always on point, nothing is ever too much! View menu

The decision to dine at The Nog Inn was based on positive reviews, and we were not let down. The four of us enjoyed delicious meals, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. The steaks were perfectly cooked, and the Pork Belly dish was a standout. The pub had a charming atmosphere, and we would highly recommend it for affordable and delicious food. Thank you.

I stumbled upon this pub after a day out and was delighted to find a traditional establishment with delicious, honest food. The friendly staff managed to squeeze us in last minute, and the cozy atmosphere added to the experience. Despite its small size, the pub offers a limited yet tasty menu. I typically don't write reviews, but I was so impressed with the Nogg Inn that I felt compelled to thank them for their excellent hospitality. I will definitely be returning in the future.
