"large eating and service, as one would expect from coq d 'argent. a little disturbing was that the opentable booking through it as an outdoor / all fresco booking (31 dez,! which was not mentioned everywhere in the opentable booking information. the second time has happened to us now when we book with opentable in various restaurants and start thinking that this is a malus 'worn' from restaurants for not to book directly about them?! leaving was a little time-consuming as it took a good 5 minutes to return the weights."

"Having spent the day in Knightsbridge with a friend, we decided to sit down for cocktails at the Mandarin Oriental. The place is stylish and nicely decorated, as you’d expect from a 5-star establishment. The staff are friendly, kind and attentive, and helped my friend charge her phone after she forgot to bring her cable with her. We very much enjoyed our cocktails and the general ambiance. Highly recommended."

"Lovely restaurant-food was very nice though the plates could have been bigger as I ended up getting most of my tower burger on the table! Initially the service was very good but towards the end we were left for a long time after our main meal without anyone asking if we would like dessert or coffee and then a waitress just brought our bill-we then asked for coffee and then the waiter who had mainly been serving us virtually ignored us and was talking to a young French lady sitting next to us. To the point when he did bring our bill-having asked for it twice he went to talk to her when we were obviously ready to pay. Such a disappointing end as I loved the restaurant and the ambience."

"I am going to post my âtrip advisor review â because honestly I have given this too much time already. No word from my personal email to the restaurant. Vacillating between Terrible and Poor This is probably my meal at Tom's Kitchen since it opened. I am a huge long time fan of Tom Aitkens, his innovative delivery and passion about both fine food and food for the people. Some years ago he had a Fish Market/ Fish and Chippery a bit down the road on Cale Street. I have a huge amount of respect for his dedication towards sustainable food sources and sustainable fishing.. BUT if this was my meal at Tom's Kitchen this meal and the meal about months ago fall into the basket of the worst dining experiences of the Century. I only rebooked because I received an email in October that their difficulties had been sorted out. Apparently not as the meal was not only deja vu but worse. We were seated at an awful table away from the main part of the dining area despite having booked about weeks earlier. No one was seated near us for the duration of our meal. We were served the wrong bottle of champagne and when we pointed this out there was a bit of a scene. The service was very slow, and the food (well it was a Monday but the fish and chips had a fishy suspect flavour). We were actually about to pay and leave before our food arrived hoping to walk into. nearby Thai restaurant but the food arrived before we could ask for the bill. I don't know what to say. I can neither recommend the restaurant or ever even consider returning Date of visit: December"

"The food at this restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is efficient and friendly. My only complaint is that the music is too loud for comfortable conversation. Lowering the volume would not detract from the atmosphere, I promise!"

"Living locally allows us to visit this restaurant at a moment's notice and enjoy the beautiful views of the estuary on a late summer day. It is ideal for avoiding the tourist crowds. We chose to sit inside and order from the bar terrace menu. The service was exceptional, with water provided for our table. Despite our waitress admitting she was new to the venue, everything was very efficient. We had a variety of small plates to share, including fries, lamb kebabs, duck salad, and Thai balls with dipping sauce. Everything was delicious, except for the duck salad which lacked crispiness and quickly became soggy. It could benefit from added texture, such as small wraps. The prices were a bit higher than expected, but the food was tasty and well-presented. We, along with other guests, asked for the air conditioning to be turned off, and our request was promptly granted. We are excited to try their Indian tasting plates, which seem to be offered annually and are highly sought after. We will have to book quickly before they sell out."

"I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. While the staff were friendly, they seemed uninterested in providing good service. The maitre'd spent over 40 minutes chatting with one table, neglecting other customers and showing unprofessional behavior. The food was only average, nothing stood out, and the presentation was lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant and I have no plans to visit again."

"great pub! service is good, it can be a bit slow when busy, but this is common with most pubs. the pub itself has great options of alcoholic drinks and a good option of alcohol-free drinks. the food served here is also great. the menus are beautiful, they have a little something for all, including a few vegetarian options. the prices are also appropriate. the pub is also well kept with regard to cleanliness. the staff is friendly and helpful. the reason I gave the pub four stars instead of five is because of the toilets. they definitely need someone who cares for the toilets, as well as a bit of a refurbishment of the toilets themselves. all in all a great place."

"Breakfast was ok, my partner's toast was untoasted, he asked for toasted toast and they only brought 1 slice, seemed a bit stingy to not replace both slices. The rest of his breakfast was good. I asked for 3 items from extras menu as I have dietary limitations, they charged me £11 and the scrambled egg wasn't good at all, bland and watery, I just hope it wasn't made with milk as I'd informed them I was lactose intolerant. When I queried the £11 charge they said they'd charged me for bread which I didn't have so did refund me £1.50. Staff were lovely and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. Probably a nice place for coffee and cake as the lattes were fine and the cakes looked nice, but from my experience expensive for the quality and portions."

"Absolutely loved this place, went for a birthday meal with my husband two daughters and son in law. Lady who served us was brilliant, had a laugh with us but not too intrusive, food was amazing and we are quite fussy! Good value and such a good atmosphere, have already been recommending it to friends, will return."

"in the center of the medieval canterbury is an old and tasty restaurant, named for the famous Trapiste, which serves typical Belgian foods (although we are in england). this place is a cross between a bar, a tea room and a restaurant. besides a large selection of beers, they enjoy delicious dishes such as the exceptional burgers that are served with homemade brot, or the special tee with cream. the restaurant has a rustic feel, and each chair is another style. the terrace is magnificent, and there is even a pavillon, decorated with tiny lights that they feel like surrounded by stars in the midst of this beautiful medieval building. on the ground floor they find a piano with a sign that invites guests to entertain the audience with their musical talents. excellent service, with waiterven are always friendly and helpful."

"If you visit and haven't had the onion soup, you've done yourself a massive disservice. Outstanding food supported by excellent service. Don't expect to walk in and be seated during peak hours and seasons; do make a reservation and come with an appetite. High quality French cuisine is easy to associate with a large bill and a fair amount of pretense, especially when it's a facsimile of the real thing. If you find yourself in the area, treat yourself to Colbert and enjoy the genuine article. The cost is reasonable enough you may fancy bringing a mate too."

"Good food but awful service. We were sat down, then left alone for few minutes without menu, water or anything. Then we got the menu but still no water. Another couple was sat down nearby and they got served way before us, having had two waitresses serving them whereas they weren't bothered about us. When I wanted to pay, she put the bill on the table and went off, didn't come back for minutes and when we started looking for her, she was just laughing and flirting with the manager Didn't even apologise for having us wait. Seriously, for such a fancy looking place, the lack of any good service is very alarming."
"Yet again Café Rouge was appalling. We visited Windsor for a few days away and decided to have dinner at Café Rouge on our last night. The service was poor and the food we ordered was very poor value for money. The Duck Confit was mainly made up of potatoes, no sauce and not good value for money. My wife had beef bourguignon, it was mainly gravy with very little meat and some potato., again very poor value for money. The drinks were very expensive and the waiter took three attempts to get our bill right. Our local Café Rouge in Ruislip and also in Pinner closed down last year where we had a very similar poor experience of food and service. NEVER go to Café Rouge."

"Great establishment! Sadly, Rude, and unprofessional staff member who completely ruined our evening (blonde lady/ host). Booked a table before it got busy and returned later, to which she demanded we pay £350 or she would give to someone else because it was now busy. Very embarrassing situation, and very unprofessional behaviour. Her customer service, and attitude on life needs complete realigning. With great displeasure we declined and entered normally. Another staff member (Alicia) later gave us the able (which is a row of seating as you enter), not a booth or anything special or what you would refer to as VIP. In all my years, this was definitely not VIP. We spent £300 with Alicia but would never return again sadly. Can’t help but comment that the blonde lady was under the impression that maybe thought we couldn’t afford it because I was black. Furthermore she is a representative of the venue and should not be rude or talk down to people. There’s definitely more to life. We are business executives despite her demoralising behaviour. Very very sad."

"I went here for my 20th Birthday, booked a table of 8 for afternoon tea. When I came the table wasn't ready and they never asked for my reservation name. Then the waitress gave us lunch menus after stating we'd be having afternoon tea. And as only 4 of us had arrived and the other 4 were parking the other car. The waitress asked if she could bring everything out now? I felt about rushed and the waitress had very poor attitude towards us. Table maintenance wasn't the best as everyone had finished their teas and it was on the table for 2 hours. I understand it got a bit busy but I could feel the stress from this waitress and it wasn't pleasent. The manager I don't remeber a name did look after us on the other hand and made sure we were okay. However for spending nearlly £200 and £20 service charge I wish I didn't bother. Sorry for this review, I can imagine it is probably an amazing place. But I was let down by my experience."

"Quick visit while on the way west. Fab place but our young server struggled with a simple drinks order. Ended up charging me for totally different drink. Easily sorted by a chat with an experienced colleague. Big plus is the abundance of free parking. Noteworthy details: The whole estate is quite new and remains fresh and very appealing. Must cost a bit to live there. Service: 3"

"I absolutely love the fact that they serve breakfast all day! I honestly wish more places would do this. I always eat breakfast at different times. Sometimes you feel like eggs or porridge in the afternoon. Good on them! It was quiet on a Tuesday late afternoon early evening. Very hot day. As per most branches, wooden country cottage feel interior. For me, LPQ have always been hit and miss with any branch you visit, be it food quality, service or cleanliness. Branch was clean. Staff were really pleasant and friendly and service was fast (I am guessing this was because they were quiet). Good menu from all day breakfast to tartines, salads, breads, soups, juices, pastries, desserts and more. Vegan's are well catered for. I had the scrambled eggs on toast with roasted portobello mushrooms and a fresh orange juice. The breakfast came with two big slices of toasted bread and a side of butter. The portion size was big which justifies the price. Not cheap at all! Well presented and freshly made. Yes, I could have made this at home. Nothing out of the ordinary but nice. As I said staff were nice and happy for me to use the free wifi and do some work at the same time. I don't often frequent this branch but came by a few months ago as well when were in lockdown C-19 pandemic and got the spinach and pine nut swirl take away which was also good. Filling and tasty and not greasy. They even threw in free chocolates as it was near Easter. Let's be honest, LPQ do well on plain and simple home comforts. Nothing out of the ordinary. Branches have a nice atmosphere and staff are pleasant most of the time. Food and cleanliness are hit and miss."

"Café Rouge at 52 Low Petergate not only offers delicious food but also boasts a beautiful street-front facade that shines brightly at night through its large windows. My man and I visited at different meal times and I opted for coffee and a snack while he enjoyed the hearty boeuf bourguignon, which was filled with tender meat and fresh beans. While there may be better boeuf bourguignon in higher-end restaurants, the price and ambiance at Café Rouge on Low Petergate cannot be beaten. Despite being part of a chain, this location has a unique charm that is easy to forget. Additionally, there is a charming and cozy dining room in the back. Café Rouge can be found at 52 Low Petergate, York, YO1 7HZ, and can be reached at 44 1904 673293."
