"First time I've used B&B's, and I've not been disappointed. I decided to swing by on my way to work, to have a Burrito for my lunch, at work (over in Portsmouth) The Burrito I had was the chicken fajita. It was RAMMED full of food, and well packed. It had been double wrapped too, ready for an extended journey! When I got to finally eat it 2 hours later it was still lovely and warm. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend this place. The property itself is very clean and tidy, with friendly and helpful staff. Great value and all ingredients are very clearly fresh. I'll be visiting again, and likely to make it a Friday lunch treat when this period of my shift comes around again!"

"I thought the food was really good, we had a platter and the burgers were lovely as was the mac and cheese and fried chicken. We also ordered onion rings as a side and they were the best onion rings I’ve had in ages, not greasy at all. However, was a bit disappointed to sit downstairs right near a DJ particularly in the dark. It wasnt an ideal restaurant setting. It was too noisey and we could barely see the food and this is coming from a bunch of people in their 30s on a night out (maybe we are old now! . We tried asking for extra drinks at our table and that didn’t happen. Had to go to the bar upstairs to get them in the end. They lost out on money there as probs would have spent more had staff been more attentive. The downstairs is confused between restaurant and bar lounge. If I come back (which I would for the food , I’ll insist I’m seated upstairs next time!"

"My friend and I often visit the Old Halfway House as it’s local to us both. Until relatively recently, we have been for the lunchtime menu, and it’s been fairly good. The pub has a nice atmosphere, and it’s clean and tidy. However, the menu has now changed; the lunchtime menu has increased from £6 to £8. Soft drinks have also increased, and a glass of coke is now £4.25, which is simply too much. This last visit, I ordered scampi chips and peas. I could hardly believe my eyes when the server brought my meal. There were 9 small pieces of scampi, a few chips and what I estimated to be 1 spoon of peas. I was really upset about this. The tartar sauce was also underwhelming a tiny bit in the bottom of the dish. The plate actually looked like a child’s meal. Ok, so we all know prices are increasing across all sectors, but whilst pubs need to make a profit, customers also need value for money, and this falls woefully short of what one would expect. Would a few extra peas and chips, and maybe a couple more pieces of scampi really cost that much more for better customer satisfaction? I’ll answer that myself no. When the lady came to collect our plates, we were asked if everything was ok. I mentioned the measly portion size, and she said she’d mention it to the kitchen. We remained in the pub a good 20 minutes, but she never returned, so I don’t know what the kitchen had said. We were going to order dessert, but after seeing that portion size, decided we wouldn’t bother. As mentioned before, we eat out locally once a week, so we have plenty of places with which to compare this to, and it falls way short of the competition. It is sad, but we will be finding somewhere with better value for money in future."

"This used to be a great place but after the other day, I can only put it down to 2 things. The health inspector was in putting the staff off or the staff completely screwed up both pizzas. I ordered a hot one and I’ve no idea what I got. No chillis just olives and mushrooms and bits of what I think was spicy beef. My wife’s was not what she ordered either. At least the onion rings were correct. The pizza base also seemed chewy in the sense it was rubbery. Not good."

"Ordered via Deliveroo.... Firstly, the order was late (this is the second time now) The breaded mushrooms were over cooked and tasted like the oil used to cook them was old. The bottle of Pepsi was flat. The lamb was over cooked and so dry. The chips were overcooked and oily. The pizzas tasted strange, like the dough was not fresh before making. The Nuggets tasted like they'd also been cooked in old oil. Plus, it was all cold. Everything to be honest was very bad and was basically put straight in the bin. considering spent over £50 is not acceptable. As I said this is the second time I ordered from them and it was late, again but I thought I'd give them a chance, after this never again."

"Went for wings Wednesday with a few work friends. Arrived at the location and shown to our table. Took 15 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive after ordering with staff. This was because the only waitress on duty was having a chat with the kitchen staff out of sight and forgetting customers. There was only my group and 2 other tables so not a busy day. Had to wait 25 to 30 mins for food once ordered. When I ask the chef if the waitress was still working or was she on part time hours and gone home. I was told to be quiet and sit down and order with the waitress who was never around. The chef was very rude and aggressive. I could then hear the staff including the waitress Kat in the kitchen being disrespectful about the group and myself. I was then approached by Kat and challenged in an aggressive manner. My first brew dog experience. Safe to say I won’t be going back to any branch if is what brew dog is all about."

"This restaurant is fantastic. It is budget-friendly, cozy, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend trying their spicy wings. The fries were perfectly cooked, both soft and crispy. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. The seating area is clean and there are a few parking spots available on the street (with a maximum 30-minute stay)."

"Wasn’t overly impressed. Sweet potato fries and husbands skinny fries both seemed really greasy. Bread for a nibble at for four thin dry slices of bread seemed excessive. As was for small pieces of pork in an overly greasy tampura batter. Steak wasn’t the best I’ve had and came with half a mushroom!! Didn’t have dessert as didn’t want to spend any more!! Wouldn’t come back. Water jug was stainless steel and seemed dirty and water stained."

"I forgot to check this after visiting at the beginning of this month. I came for the hair and makeup process for my upcoming high time to fleet and wanted to make the best out of my chic face, my fiance and I decided to have a lunch here. the waiter was nice and helped us both ask us about the menu (we were both ordered from the vegan menu). I also enjoyed looking for all the hidden otopus toys around the restaurant. what a great idea for children (and how it turns out, also adult). we had a great food. that was great. we shared our pizzas and both were beautiful. cannot remember the life of me what we have ordered (I think my had artichokes on it). also after eating we both visited the toilets and found them clean, and all they would expect from a restaurant bathroom. thanks for a so nice lunch. we had a wonderful time and if we ever find ourselves in fleet again, we'll surely come by."

"So I made an order on uber eats, as you can see in my order I asked for a chicken kebab wrap. Not only does the packaging say “Lamb kebab” but the wrap was also filled with lamb. I rung the shop up and they basically told me I was lying and that it was chicken, and told me that the writing on the packaging was a mistake. I can assure you this tastes and smells like lamb, AND looks like it too. I hung up in anger as they didn’t seem to be doing anything to correct my order. In all the experience with this place was shocking and their customer service was very bad. Never going here again, not being called a liar over the phone when it’s clearly lamb."

"Fantastic service and great atmosphere. We we're only there for a coffee, but we want to return for a meal. The decor is very stylish, and it looks like a place that is great for food, drinks, whatever. "I wanted pizza and instead of going to Greggs which is nearby l managed to find Dixy on Highfield Road. The guy behind the counter at approximately 14:10 was friendly and assured me the meat feast pizza will be made nicely as requested. After 18 minutes the pizza was ready and it was cooked to perfection and all l can say is it was lovely. The pizza had toppings aplenty, was very tasty and was served with three tubs of chilli sauce. A homeless woman (IC3 and in her 40's) scraggy in appearance asked a few patrons for change which is rather disconcerting when one is trying to eat in relative peace. She must do this all the time and managed to bag a free meal like it was the norm. Overall l was happy with the food and would recommend this establishment to others visiting this road for reasons of clothes shopping."

"We ordered 3 pizzas and some chicken wings with a delivery time of 25-40 minutes. However, the food arrived over an hour later, as the driver claimed to have gotten lost. The pizzas were not as hot or fresh as we had hoped, with cold and soggy cheese. The service was disappointing for a Monday evening when the restaurant was not as busy. Whether it was Herbies or Just Eat at fault, improvements are needed to avoid losing customers in the future."
