"We have just come back from our first visit to the French Horn but it certainly won't be our last! We had a delicious lunchtime meal with friends the food was excellent as was the service. We have already booked again and I can't wait to go back for the wonderful devilled kidneys on fried bread... my only problem was that it was a starter and not a main course."

"Love coming here! I haven't been for some time due to covid but used to come weekly. I came with a friend during the week and really like the menu as they've had lots of changes but a really nice choice. The meal was fab along with desserts although they were out of a few desserts and they've taken fudge cake off the menu which was my fave but never the less, it was a fab meal over all, very well priced and good safety measures in place. Already got another booking for next week! :"

"Oh. My. Word. Visited yesterday with family and had an amazing selection of properly home made cakes. Russian Honey Cake which I’d never before tasted but thought it’d be rude not to . It was divine. Skilfully executed, rich honey flavour and, surprisingly not overly sweet; a scrummy Coffee and Walnut Cake, just like granny used to make and my daughter’s all time favourite, home-made Carrot Cake…what’s not to like. Complete with a really good (rich but not too bitter) double espresso macchiato made for a lovely treat. There was even that all important thick cookie milkshake for the pre teen. I know it’s renowned for its quality breakfasts and good food food but def a great spot for a sweet treat too. A lot to choose from and all delicious. I salute you Rita and team."

"I went the other night with my partner and got the carnivore platter which contained all the meats I thought the beef and pork was fantastic, I didn’t really like the sausages to be honest but that’s probably my own preference We actually couldn’t even finish it all so I took the rest home with me there’s plenty of meat , the staff was great and was very busy and good atmosphere, however I didn’t really like my seating as people kept brushing past me and hitting my chair and shoulder which was quite annoying and it was very dark , I had to use my phone torch to look at the menu ! I would advise if anyone goes to get a booth which has more space and a light!!!! All in all I had to wait About 30 minutes which i thought wasn’t to bad at all , would probably go again and try something else on the menu definitely"

I had the zucchini pasta, wow! the raw zucchini pasta is combined with a delicious pesto and brazil nuts parmesan “cheese”. eating is so good I do not miss milk or meat at all. their “Cocktails” are also funny and creatiw! released October 2018: if they really want to eat healthy, this is the place for them. They have amazing alcohol-free “Cocktails”, a delicious vegan, gluten-free menu. the salate and the deer are mouthwater. I love this place! the ambiente is alive and friendly. the service is helpful, happy, prompt. I'm traveling a few times a year to london. that will be my visit to the restaurant. I had the economical and black bean risotto teller and the kale cesar salat. Oh, my, both were so delicious!"

"this pub is amazing and there is 1 reason why that counts. I had a few kumpels that at various points on the line that we all love a guinness, so I decided to find a pub that put me in the pump. You know how you used to be in the position. the only place in falmouth that seemed to be selling guinness or understanding the concept was the quayside inn. martha treated my question admirable and we got it sorted. last Saturday the first of the pints was successfully asserted, so I am happy to reward the place 5 stars. bravo."

"We went for a pre booked meal.The table opposite was served starters and our drinks order was taken,The drinks took several tries to get it right. The cocktails tasted like gone off water and we were then told they were from a premixed draught pump! We eventually got to order.The table opposite had all 3 courses as we repeatedly asked when to expect our food.We didn’t receive answers at first then were told we were next. After waiting over an hour we asked again.We had already said how hungry and tired the children were and were then told it would be another 25 minutes.It was getting too late for the children to eat and we had no confidence we would ever get food. They said it was due to having too many people coming in asking for tables.Nomone else was eating,but maybe they were waiting too.No idea what the chef was do8ng although we saw him out in the car park as we left. We walked out at that point and they ruined a family evening and children were very tired next day due to the late bedtime after we finally found some fast food for them."

"Having used this pub on and off for years, we went Saturday night for a friend’s birthday. There was football on the telly, it was really rowdy, we couldn’t talk to each other because of the noise. We were served our meals, which were borderline ok. When we finished eating our main course, we were asked if we were staying for the quiz or leaving, because they needed the table for a team of quizzers. We had decided to have mains and dessert rather than starter but we didn’t even get asked if we wanted dessert. The woman was said she had allocated another table for us, but the people on that table didn’t leave so if we weren’t doing the quiz we would have to leave the table. All during our meal we were being watched by a group who had reserved this table as though we had no right to be there. Not once were we asked if everything was ok. Food nowhere near as good as when Sonia and Pete were there, which is ironic as the chef had worked there for them before and put out really tasty food. We left without paying as there was nobody behind the bar and we were all fuming at how we had been treated. Today (Sunday) one of our party went back to pay for our meal and the woman still couldn’t see why we were annoyed. Please Sonia and Pete come back. This is now a drinkers pub and certainly not a food one. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK."
