"We walked in as a family of 7 on a Sunday evening after having seen a film at the nearby cinema. We were shown to a table right away, a round one which made chatting easy. Our waiter James was a very pleasant young man and was extremely patient with us all whilst we chose from the varied menu, especially with the youngsters in our party. Drinks arrived promptly, followed by all our dishes arriving together; good staff coordination. I had the salmon risotto with broccoli stems which were cooked to perfection which doesn't often happen! "Prebooked a table for people. We were crammed on a person table if that despite the restaurant being practically empty with much bigger tables. It was clear we were struggling and not once were we offered the chance to move. We had to...call someone over to take our drinks order. She didn’t come to take the order for at least minutes after saying she was coming then one drink never turned up so after about minutes of waiting we had to ask for it again. The food arrived at the same time which was good but unfortunately nobody had cleared our salad bowls so we couldn’t fit the mains on properly and some plates were practically bare. There was only a quarter of rotisserie chicken left when we ordered so we had to swap to a chicken breast which was ok but when a lot of the food is fatty and the ribs are undercooked without the bbq sauce on at all like stated on the menu that isn’t acceptable. It was very clear the staff were keeping the guests in one area of the restaurant for their convenience but it backfired when someone from the door marked ‘Private’ shouted something so loudly every guest turned and looked in shock. There was no explanation or apology. The staff just came out one by one smiling and laughing after they’d all rushed through to the back to see what was going on. Very unprofessional! It’s my first time visiting Wales and I’d had this Harvester recommended to me but I’ll never go back to it no matter how many times I visit in the future!"

"Went in for an early dinner at 11.30am, but were told they don't take orders for dinner until 12pm. We just sat at a table, had drinks and chatted for a bit so it wasn't a problem. I had macaroni cheese with bacon and my nephews ordered off the kids menu. Good selection on the kids menu, usually it's about four things, but there's had a much larger choice which was good. My Mum had the caeser salad. Food was very tasty and came in good time. The lady who served us was chatty, friendly and very smiley. Good experience all round."

"visited here for dinner (in the afternoon) on our shopping tour with our 3 children. menu for the lunchtime that was good and still a decent selection. the children's dishes are good and all 3 young have enjoyed their meal. it's a shame that you can't get 2x sides, although some of the meals are quite small. I chose the halloumi wrap I really regretted that I love halloumi, but there was so much salat and avocado that I could not even taste the halloumi in it, very disappointing. my man had the bbq bark pack he said was really nice. I thought the options were pretty cumbersome if they don't want chocolate or not. Too bad they don't have a strawberry or eton chaos sunflower. I tried the cream egg cookie dough at the end and it was very rich, in any case must come with ice. our waitress was nice, very fast. it's a good box stop for lunch, but I'd definitely get something else when we go back."

"had a fantastic night cocktail in revolution for a friend hen at night yesterday. the manager tom was an amazing host, and carter who took our master class was very professional and fun. Although we make a few cocktails in the evening, we both felt especially and not just another group of customers. well worth the money, especially the double money offer. we had planned to hike the wind street after, but the atmosphere and the music was so good, we stayed and danced the night away. "Our daughter has never in the past years been home for her birthday due to commitments in the first weeks of the school holidays and is only home for an evening in the middle ao we wanted to something special for her (albeit a couple of days early) We were picking her up from near Derby so we thought a trip on the way home to Sheffield would be a good idea. I found F&B restaurants in the area and plumped for this one. I booked for at and relaxed. Until the day before when I could not find the confirmation. So I booked again. The discovered with horror the first confirmation in my junk items. I promptly cancelled that one but then panicked that it would be construed as both being cancelled. As we had a cake I popped in before we went to pick her up. The staff were great, took the cake off me and reassured me that the booking was there. Off I went. Next panic came at when we realised we were running early. I needn't have worried. A quick call to the restaurant confirmed we could get there early. When we arrived there was only one other group sitting. This would ordinarily have worried me but after the fantastic service so far it didn't. First thoughts turned to a banner, not asked for, but so thoughtful saying birthday girl Never had that at a F&B before but wow, my daughter's face lit up. Should have said earlier that she has no clue we had planned this. Balloons galore at a corner table and we settled in. Great that we were not pressed to decide our food, bit could take our time. The waitress explained that they did not have any pineapple so Hawaiian pizza was off the menu. But she helpfully offered alternatives and we ordered. The meals came together and were hot (unlike my last F&B experience in Scunthorpe). The pizzas of us), lasagne and burger were well cooked and everyone tooked in. The obligatory is everything ok visit came but not before we had had chance to eat something and also a request for a top up of drink was met speedily (again Scunthorpe take note). Puddings again arrived promptly and together (yes this does matter) and after a nod the cake arrived. A great early evening for us s we headed home happy. Thank you to the team at F&Bs Manor Road, Derby for making one birthday girl feel extremely happy and one dad the most happy he has been with a dining experience for a long long time. Just please stock up on pineapple for next time (haha)"

"We haven’t been to a Frankie Bennys for years but called in on a random wet Sunday for lunch. No booking but we’re seated straight away, drinks order taken immediately brought over before we’d even gotten our coats off. We shared the starter for 2 which was really good, probably the highlight of the visit. The mains were quick to follow were really tasty filling. Would have loved a dessert but were too full, will do next time though. The drinks were refreshed during our visit, the staff were polite prompt. Looking forward to coming again! "This was our first and last visit to the restaurant. My wife and I ordered steak that would have required a chainsaw to cut through. Our two daughters ordered meatballs but were instead served spaghetti bolognese. To their credit, they didn’t mind and accepted the mix-up. The waitress was polite and apologized about the steaks, but unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. One steak was so tough that it was like chewing on an old boot. We decided against dessert, not wanting to waste any more money. The only redeeming feature of our meal was the Stella Artois, which was perfectly chilled. We came to Birmingham after visiting Cadbury World in North Wales for a birthday treat, hoping to finish our day at a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations."

"Today, we visited the restaurant for my son's 11th birthday celebration with his friends. We ordered our main dishes and milkshakes from the menu. We wanted to order dessert, but we only had 25 minutes before we had to leave for laser tag. We inquired with the server if we would have enough time, and she assured us that we would. We decided to order 4 desserts. Unfortunately, only 2 desserts arrived after 5 minutes, while the other 2, including the one for my son's birthday, arrived just as we needed to leave. This 20-minute delay in serving the desserts caused my son to be upset as we had to rush through his birthday dessert. As a result, we were late for laser tag and missed a game. When I questioned the delay, I was informed that it was due to a new chef and was left with no further explanation. We also requested a balloon for each child, which was not provided, despite other children of similar age receiving them. When we inquired about the balloons, the server confirmed but never brought them. The food was mediocre, as we expected. Overall, it was one of the worst cases of service we have experienced."

"For my daughter’s birthday she chose to have breakfast with family and friends at Frankie and Benny’s and we were really well looked after. There is free parking here and it is adjacent to the restaurant which is on the perimeter of Crown Point North shopping centre. We received a warm welcome and a table for ten was waiting for us. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the atmosphere was good. Ellis was our waiter and he was courteous, polite and friendly for the duration of our visit. I felt that they could have benefitted from more resources at times, as the restaurant got busy at one point and Ellis and his manager seemed under pressure. But the food arrived in decent time and was all delicious. Drinks were sometimes a little slow arriving but we were kept informed. The vegan and vegetarian fry ups were lovely. Ellis kindly brought out a birthday cake for my daughter and allowed us to use ten plates and forks which was appreciated. All in all we spent two hours in the restaurant, we felt looked after and everyone enjoyed their breakfast."

"Had recently seen posts on Facebook regarding this restaurant having new management and thought we'd pop in pre-film. Visited on Saturday night (7th May) with my family, booked a table well in advance, were greeted very nicely upon entry which always makes things a lot nicer. Upon seating we noticed that something wasn't quite right, the restaurant was pretty much full, the most full we've seen it in a long while to be honest, partway through us ordering our drinks the manager went into the kitchen we assumed to speak with his kitchen team, he didn't come back out through the duration of our meal. We could see the cooks trying their hardest and we knew that the wait on our food would be a while. Me and my daughter watched the cooks and observed the team, working in hospitality myself I am more aware, filling in for one another. The place where the manager was somebody had replaced, another manager was speaking to tables. In summary, we waited long, but we knew about it in advance, the food was good when it eventually came, the manager did come around towards the end of our meal and spoke to us at length regarding the issue that had led to the events and his honesty was refreshing, the team were obviously strained however there were still smiles, sounds of laughter, overall the service was great, food was good, communication was brilliant. The only negative was an older couple at the entrance being extremely rude when told they couldn't be seated, which the female manager dealt with very well may I add. Will return for sure. Well done!"

"Having originally gone to the Crafty Dragon pub nearby and left due to not getting our food after an hour wait, we went here and could not have received better service! On arrival we asked the manageress if there was a wait on food because we had waited for over an hour elsewhere. We were informed that there was no wait but she also brought us free dough balls after we were seated before we even ordered anything to help calm our appetites! From here we continued to receive fantastic service, letting us know which meals would take longer to make and they checked on us regularly throughout our visit. Food was brought quickly and tasted great! I don't normally write reviews but felt this restaurant deserved a mention as it is the best restaurant experience we have had for a long time!"

"Difficult to describe really: 1. In my experience the food has always been delivered quickly, thought perhaps a little too quickly as I once ordered while on my way home, website claimed delivery would be in an hour but I got a call saying they were outside my house within 15 minutes. 2. The kebab meat, although generally tasty, can sometimes seem a little undercooked, with some of it actually still being pinkish upon closer inspection, and I noticed that whenever I ate it I would soon develop an upset stomach. 3. "This was our first visit to F&Bs after lockdown, we haven't been in since before all the lockdown measures, so made sure to come back try the famous pizza they offered before. We were greeted by a friendly girl who showed us to our...table and then explained the few items they did not have, the menu is still quite varied with only a few items missing from the previous one I remember. I was craving a pizza so a margarita was what I was after, my girlfriend had cheeseburger chips. We were offered some seasoned fries which sounded good with a cheese sauce. Around 20mins later our food was served, which is great as we had the cinema to go to also, the food was served hot but didnt taste as good as I remember, with it maybe being a bit more mass produced rather than handcrafted like it was before. It was still enjoyable and the chips were good but still a bit bland with the cheese sauce. All in all it was good to be back but not quite as I remember, as used to love the pizzas! my girlfriend had a student card so we got discount on the meal which was great. All in all a good experience."
