"What a lovely experience. The food was excellent. The service was efficient and timely but not rushed. We had a table for 6 and had a 6 year old with us. We arrived early but our table was ready and we were made to feel very welcome. The restaurant was clearly child friendly and we were very well catered for in this respect. There was plenty of space for us at our table and we were very comfortable. This was an excellent restaurant for a family gathering right in the heart of Covent Garden and so convenient to theatreland."

"Very disappointed with this place. The service was very slow and all over the place. They looked massively understaffed with only 3 waitresses serving the room from what I could see. That said, the waitress we had was very good but was never going to be able to provide the service you’d expect with a restaurant so busy. One of the main courses arrived 10 minutes after the others (which had to be chased), and they missed part of the order as well which we had to remind them off. Worst of all was the steak tartare. It’s a dish I love and often select this when eating out. I have to say that this was just the worst ever a pile of mush with an awful texture and tasted just as bad. It was as though they had put this in a blender and left it for a few days. I actually started feeling ill a few hours afterwards and didn’t feel right until the following day."

"Came here for something to eat/anniversary dinner before going to Sadler's Wells.....normally we go to The Gate further down towards the Theatre but its closed so we needed a new venue without just walking around. I found this on line. This was perfect.....The main courses...of Steak and Muscles we had were perfectly cooked as was the location and the staff.....especially the staff. However....the best bit was the Banoffee and Ice cream desert......just perfect and lovely....Make sure you have space for desert....I think during the day they will do lots of deserts with a cup of tea as these are all at the front of the Restaurant. There are a lot of places in this area...In our experience if you chose the F&O you will have a great meal, in a great location. Thank you for starting our evening off in a perfect way....And the Nutcracker at SW was great as well."

"Just next door to the Gielgud Theatre terrific ambience, decor very stylish, like being in a swish club with the central square bar, some banquette seating and good lighting (love the lamps on the bar Food very good, as it was quite late after the theatre I chose a salad with chicken, avocado, crispy panchetta and egg. It was fresh, very tasty and huge ! Sadly could not eat it all there was so much. Husband said his Salad Lyonnaise was delicious. Great value for money. Waitresses excellent. We will return."

"we went to the kings head to celebrate my man birthday. we booked in advance and at first the things were not too bad, but after ordering the food everything went up to the hill! we arrived at 7.30 and at 8.30 we waited for the appetizer I ordered did not indicate that it sits on mayonnaise, so when it arrives, I sent it back because I mayonnaise did not eat. I was then told that another starter would last 10 minutes, so I didn't tell them to worry, and I would stick to it at the top of it myself, a minute later our waitress came with my new starter, which was actually the original that she had just moved to another plate and tried to point out the mayonnaise that it had on her! Therefore I told them that I didn't want it, and hour later our net arrived, which my friends was completely cold and very dry, so it was sent away, they removed net from the bill and told us that a big table they had had caused chaos that affected all the others in the restaurant! would not go back."

"terrible customer service. We booked this bistro weeks before arriving-we had a confirmation text the day before to confirm. We arrived in Keswick checked in our b and b then booked a taxi to take us to dine-on arrival we found the bistro in darkness with a note on the door- closed due to unforseen circumstances!!!!! Not the way to run a business!!! We would have completely understood had someone called us to cancel and give us time to book elsewhere-will not book here again if this is how they treat customers-whats the food and service like???"

"Sunday 10 September 2023 (evening dinner The meal was cooked perfectly and was extremely tasty. The restaurant setting was lovely and cozy, which made a perfect setting for our evening dinner. We loved it. My wife ordered Confit Pork Belly I had Steak Frites (Truffle coated fries very yummy. Both meals were superb : Our waitress Jee (Jessica was just Fantastic Polite, Friendly and a true Professional. With attention to detail without any fuss, Jee really made our evening very enjoyable. A real talent and credit to your Restaurant. Your waiter Ben (very cool Black Red hair was also first class and took care of us very well. Great team work with Jee. "The restaurant was quite full at 7:30pm with large parties and noisy children. In fairness it was Valentine's Day. Whilst it is always nice to see families with children dining together the somewhat intimate ambience the brasserie seems to target does not seem best suited to young diners. Possibly the problem is that hotel does not offer a more suitable restaurant option for those with youngsters. The bar area serves food but is rather large and not exactly cosy. The food was OK. The onion soup was extremely tasty but the cheese in it was surprisingly over generous making it a struggle to eat. The wine list is as you would expect in a London hotel, was quite expensive but with some excellent options. I made the mistake of asking for a brief pause between starters and main which as it always inevitably does, turned into an unacceptably long delay."

"I went for Afternoon Tea with my husband. The sandwiches were ok, nothing special. The cakes again were ok. I give lots of Afternoon Teas, and have been to hotels and Fortnum Mason for beautiful teas, so l was disappointed when the sandwiches appeared on a plain white earthenware plate and the cakes on a slate!! no tiered cake stands and no Green Tea either. Also you should be asked if you want more tea or sandwiches or cakes, again not forthcoming. The Afternoon Tea was a present so l feel it was wasted and perhaps should have chosen another location."

"We visited for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the food and the attentive service as well as that it is dog friendly as well. My starter was the goats cheese salad, it was done very well and attractively presented with a mustard, honey balsamic dressing; which really delivered the sweet/salty and slightly acidic flavour that complemented the goats cheese. I followed this with the roast beef. The beef was wonderfully tender, rare-medium that I like, with plentiful gravy, root vegetables (parsnips and carrots), cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. The potatoes were beautifully done, obviously cooked in lots of fat that made them wonderfully buttery on the inside but still crisp on the outside. My wife had the crab salad as a starter followed by the roast duck. She likes her duck well done, rather than rare, and commented that it was just right; being succulent and not allowed to go dry which can be the case when she has ordered this dish elsewhere. Clearly there is a talented chef at work here. My portions were a good size and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. We will certainly be coming back."

"he personal was beautiful and has included our needs. we came into a large group and they could put us and do this with a smile. my only chewing gum would be the odd proportion of yogurt on granola (even tee spoon yogurt on all pieces of granola). "I booked the festive menu for three and said I would have something off the menu all four of us had purchased a voucher for £15 which enabled us to have £25 towards meal and drinks. The three friends each paid a deposit of £5. The meal was dreadful!!! The service was slow and we were the only ones in there! The beef had no Yorkshire pudding, the Turkey ROLL was like Bernard matthew’s, my chicken was over cooked and dry it was supposed to have a sauce but I had to ask for gravy it was so dry! And the dessert (treacle tart) was not only cold but rock hard!!! We asked to speak to someone to say how disappointed we were and basically were brushed off then she told us one voucher per bill but we were told per person! So she then had to split the bill we all ended up giving her our vouchers because we wouldn’t go again. Appalling! The two stars were for the decorations!"

"Vote did not have my booking as I had booked it on open table. I had to show them my confirmation on my phone before I was seated. My beef bougingon was dry and not cooked in a sauce, just a slab of beef with onions and mushrooms on the side. It was very salty. Sauce was very nice. Our table was next to the bar and close to the kitchen and was very noisy with bangs and crashes which went on during the meal The staff were very attentive, polite and efficient. I have been to cote before and will go again , but was disappointed with my meal and the noise of where I was placed."
