"the big porn is a big pub my twin brother step and I decided in how we pub hopping around byker, a big wetherspoon pub, that was a big sound. named after a whisky, the pub is excellent, typical wetherspoon decor...and furniture, a solid wood can be served dominates the main room, print and photos decorate the walls and there are many sitting possibilities in this pub both inside and outside in their yard to relax its large wetherspoon pub. we were here on a Monday afternoon, we grabbed a table, were my brother on the bar and ordered a fish chips meal each and for our drinks gins, tonic was absolutely superb, so delicious, very refreshing on a hot afternoon while we arrived our gins our meal times and what a leak. a large fish, slightly broken, beautifully seasoned, chips were plentiful and tasty, just a really good, filling meal, just what we needed, together with our gins for a great culinary experience made in a cool wetherspoon pub. After we finished our meal and our drink, we ordered a real ale, we chose both sharps brewery dom the high main pub is easy to find along the sheilds road. Opening times are: Monday to Thursday, until Friday Saturday, until midnight. Sunday, until a great Wetherspoon Pub, definitely worth checking if they are in the opposite."

"Great new craft beer bar from the team behind The Old Fountain. Interesting tap selection, cool vibe, friendly staff. What more could I want? They aren't serving food at the moment, but you can order delivery to enjoy with your beer. A couple vegan burgers via Deliveroo went down very well on Saturday with a few pints of Verdant Lightbulb excellent way to spend an afternoon."

"Although the food in the past has been pleasant from here a few reasons why I have now changed my mind about visiting this restaurant would not recommend or revisit. A very wet takeaway was delivered from Wimpy via Uber when calling the restaurant the...manager said if you don't like it come collect your self! (I'm not sure how you've got any customers left with this attitude) I then visited after shopping in town I was going to sit and eat but I was told if I was eating in I was to remove my mask only when seated in a rude tone (seating area not in the restaurant but outside in the plaza?)I decided to order takeaway but was greeted by quite a rude manager who then decided to put my order over the other side of the seating area for me to collect obviously he's been very awkward. My daughter 20 also decided to visit the same week and treat her 12 year old sister to food when seated the same manager said do not run around! (they was just chatting seated at the time, I think a bit of power has gone to this guy's head Take note..... Until now, the rules on face coverings in restaurants, bars and takeaways have been confusing (obviously for George from wimpy Southend) People won't have to wear a mask in restaurants or bars, because it is impractical to do so while eating or drinking (not that we will be returning to wimpy Southend Mr rude manager)"

"This is one of my go-to spots for dining. I absolutely love the variety on the vegan menu, especially the Beyond Burger—it's definitely my favorite! The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for studying; I often bring my laptop and spend the day there. I appreciate that there’s always something entertaining happening—just a few months ago, they hosted a trivia night, and recently they had live music. I recently moved to Warrington, and I'm so happy to have discovered this place. The prices are fair, and the quality of the food has been exceptional so far."

"All day breakfast that should come with two eggs came with none. Server walked off without trying to justify or explain this. When called back about it I just got told they didn't have any and they'd put an extra sausage on instead. Who wants a breakfast without eggs? Wpuld have chosen something else if they'd had the courtesy to tell me in advance. Also ordered a pepperoni pizza which was soggy and floppy with little pepperoni on it. Avoid. So poor. And I normally like a Spoons. Also ordered two drinks raspberry and rhubarb and got two raspberry. Total shambles and they don't give a toss."

"The staff was friendly and the service was fast and efficient. As with all deck chairs, they have a separate vegan menu that facilitates the selection of a dishes and the need to scour the menu for a vegan option. That's one of the better deck chairs we were. The menu remains quite much the same while, but this is not necessarily a bad thing as the food is delicious from here. My partner and I both had the Vegan breakfast. It was really good and was well cooked. But I wish they would use a British breakfast instead of Falafel. I love Falafel, but not necessarily with my breakfast meal."

"The menu highlights their commitment to sustainability and ethics by offering vegan options for every dish. For breakfast, they put a lot of effort into their offerings, featuring homemade beans and hash browns, alongside delicious bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, and optional wilted spinach and black pudding. The drink selection includes a variety of cocktails and coffees, as well as different types of tea. While it's not the cheapest spot—£11 for the standard breakfast plus £2 for each additional item—I believe the price is fair. We were fortunate to find a table when we arrived, but it was quite busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation."

"During our vacation in Scotland, my friend and I stayed in Ballater and dined at a restaurant where we were pleasantly surprised by the menu. The selection was clearly marked and there were multiple vegan options available. For starters, I tried the chili non carne tacos and found them delicious. Both of us ordered the Beyond Burger, which was good but slightly overcooked. It seemed like it was deep fried as it was quite crispy."

"Went here during lockdown when only takeaway was permitted by law. I had a lemon meringue in the square outside with a decaf americano. It was aaaaaamazing! Hubby enjoyed his peanut butter and chocolate cookie sandwich and green tea. I took similar offering along with a couple of mince and onion pies to my parents who demolished them apparently . I got a couple of takeaway pies for ourselves. My mince and onion pie put me into pie heaven. My husband 's curry pie was good too. I 'm so pleased this whole place is 100% plant based. So none of those awkward discussions about what is vegan. So lovely that it supports people with learning challenges. Will definitely return. Dog friendly too. A lovely square just outside with benches to eat takeaway fare in. There will be seating indoors when permitted. Great place incorporating the little bearded baker. They are hoping to expand their opening hours in due course and also seem to have a menu for hot food. Update: Visited again. Indoor dining open. Plenty of space. Clean. Good loos. Friendly capable staff with excellent supervision to ensure everything is perfect. Huge menu. I had a Christmas type sandwich sourdough, stuffing, cranberry sauce etc, delish. Husband had a beyond burger. We shared a lotus swirl which was very sweet and fudgy and a salted caramel brownie heated with 'cream '. Everything was very filling and tasty. Quite a popular spot. Hopefully introducing plant based eating to people who might not otherwise wander into a vegan cafe. Very positive vibe from customers and staff alike. Wonderful spot. Can 't wait to visit again. "Newly renovated and extended, the Kirky Puffer can now offer a log fire and beer garden. Ideal for a quick pint or an all night bev session. Its chilled, it's relaxed, you can order food and it's well located on the main street. 15 minute drive from Glasgow makes it easy to get into the city centre and if you want to get a train your not too far from lenzie. There are disabled toilets on the ground floor aswell as wheel chair access to the side of the building. There is plenty of food and drink to chooses."

"large burger, poor veggie options. first I would like to say that gbk has been excellent since its opening and we have washed down on her calls for at least a few years (the blue cheese burger was the ultimate for me, BUT....I have noticed that the quality of the pommes has dipped a little lately, which is a shame because she had the best fries on the earth for one. also, as I have become vegetarian (yes, I know why I am concerned to write that, I must say that the veggie options are quite frightening. the falafel burger is a major fail, does not hang together, dissolves simply in slusch and reveals 3 thin small falafel balls underneath. even worse is the penang, an asian-themed orange horror, which tastes like a restored cardboard from carton left in the rain. I feel a bit bad about writing, but I have decided that: an honesty is the best policy b it for its own good c and our and to finish on a positive note, they will definitely not be a better (minburger than this for miles around."

"Really disappointed in our visit to Tesco’s cafe today, we ordered beans on toast and eggs which took nearly an hour to come. When my partner approached a member of staff to ask where our food was, she rudely said “if it’s about food, it’ll come soon” when served our food, the staff member did not apologise for the delay either. I can’t believe it would take almost an hour for beans on toast and some eggs… worst of all after all that wait, the food was lukewarm and not tasty, I know it’s a Tesco cafe but it’s not hard to make either of those meals and to be polite."

"As a Local Guide, it’s always best to dine at or visit locations multiple times. The Eight Bells is a good example. We ate there several times and enjoyed the food and service. However, it is a popular place for families and parties. The decibel levels got to 87 in the back section. We would like to have given them a full 5 stars, but the last time we ate there, the food was awful. It was like the chef didn’t show up and they got just anyone off the street to cook. The Tuesday night steak special was tough and stringy. I was fighting with it so much, I finally gave up and ordered a hamburger. But, it came with a 2mm sear on both sides as it was overcooked too. We mentioned it to staff and they just said Sorry. On a different note …. There are Eight big fake bells as you enter the restaurant representing the nautical eight bells. Howe, there is another bell. A real bell located in the restaurant. maybe they should call it Nine Bells. Also, it is a Wetherspoon’s, which we’ve had good experiences with from Scotland to Dover."

"Great product, in a great spot, with a great vibe, delivered by great people. We visited on the last day of eat out to help out, which was a recommendation from the almighty Google when searching for a city centre restaurant. So glad we chose to stop by, as everything about it was great. They're dog friendly too, and staff were ready and waiting with a water bowl, dog treats and lots of fuss. All the service guys were really friendly, quick, attentive, and knew their stuff (always nice when you get an enthusiastic recommendation from the menu... and some patience when you can't decide! . We made a point of trying a burger and a hot dog, which was a good idea as both were amazing, so splitting half and half mitigated any food envy. If anyone knows where the old Mexican restaurant Pedro's used to be, it's there so a stones throw away from the city centre and the theatre, so a great location. They've done a great job refreshing the building too, and appear to offer inside and outside seating. The drinks menu hit the spot, with a good, but not overly extensive range of alcoholic and soft drinks. I had a can of Ting, which went down a treat, and the better half had a lemonade mocktail. Couldn't recommend more you've not lived a full life until you've visited! Great work!"

"We went to have lunch here on Tuesday afternoon, however the shop was closed. It opens at 5pm according to the deli next door. Feel let down by the communication because there is no indication of the correct opening times, as the website says open from 12pm; also google showed it as opening at 12 as well. Plant Hustler should at least update the correct info on these sites as we made a long trip to get there, and were very disappointed. Can’t comment on the food."

"Upon arrival the table with our name on was wet, previous customers glasses still there and an empty silver cutlery pot. I had to remove the glasses myself and dry table with a serviette. Also on the table was a reserved from 8pm by someone else. Which put pressure on straight away meaning we couldn’t just relax and enjoy but had to rush things along. Ordering food was easy the girl that served us at the bar took our order and the food came out perfectly. The food was cooked perfectly for all on the table and we enjoyed with no complaints at all. 3 of the table ordered desserts and they all came out individually. The time from first dessert to the 2nd was a few minutes but then the 3rd dessert did not appear for around 5 mins and actually had to go back to the bar to ask about it. Again this only increased pressure to hurry. We have been several times over the last few months, and as this was my son’s birthday we invited grandparents to join us. Sadly we would not do this again. We will still continue to visit for just a couple of hours out but for a special occasion or group booking I would not recommend and would go elsewhere."

"I enjoyed a delicious vegan burger with fries. Honestly, I can say it was the best vegan burger I've ever had! It was packed with flavor, had a lovely sauce, and came out piping hot without being overcooked like many places tend to do. The fries were excellent and didn't need any sauce since they were so good on their own. The vegan coleslaw was great as well. Ordering online was straightforward, which is a plus when dining with friends, as it makes splitting the bill much easier."

"This was recommended by staff at the nearby Bailey's Hotel as a good spot for lunch and they were right! It was packed, but our food order arrived in good time. They were really happy to help with a gluten allergy by talking us through the iPad and app which detailed the options. Ordering was a bit of a faff as I first had to download the app to my own phone, but the menu was clear, including the GF options (which isn't always the case! We throughly enjoyed the GF chicken bacon sandwich, along with nachos and the hunter's chicken sandwich. I tried a new beer, which wasn't the best, but that's not their fault. Overall this was a lovely spot for a bite of lunch and we'd happily return next time."

"After searching for two other places—one of which was unexpectedly closed and the other we couldn’t locate—we stumbled upon this gem, and it was a delightful surprise! The menu offers an abundance of vegan options, making it tough to decide. We ordered the vegan BLT on a brioche bun, which came with a delicious slaw and extra fries on the side, along with a sizable iced latte with milk. We also took home the celestial chocolate torte and the carrot cake, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is very family-friendly, providing crayons, toys, high chairs, and a spacious table for little ones. I highly recommend this place for families!"
