"a mixed grill, chicken Passanda, pilaureis, chapati, paratha and poppadome ordered. mischgrill was mixed in terms of good and bad, tandoori huhn was very good, but lamm tikka was almost too chew to eat. Passanda was very good with chickens. chapati was acceptable. paratha was really thick and rocky, so my wife couldn't eat much of it. naan, who came with mixed grill, was a little dry and could have done with a fast brush ghee or something before it was in these packages. poppadoms tasted a little salty from some ground, but they were crispy and fresh. overall it is the place I go to when I want a mixed grill, but can try it again for something else. I will say that I usually do not order takeaway on a Friday or Saturday night, as with most local standards can be a bit with the volume they churn out. so they would have had only a bit of a night in relation to the mixed grill and paratha."

"I cannot recommend a restaurant that serves only 2 pieces of chicken for £13 as a main dish. Furthermore, there was an issue with a family allowing their child to watch children's TV at their table using a tablet. Personally, I do not enjoy dining out and listening to cartoon shows. It was disappointing that the waitstaff were unable to handle this situation effectively. Although the food was excellent and our waiter was courteous and efficient in addressing our complaints, the overall experience left us feeling unimpressed."

"I have been a patron of this restaurant for two decades. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. However, when I tried to place a takeout order tonight, I was surprised to find that my request was denied. After speaking with the manager, he claimed that they have never delivered to my address. It seems that there has been a change in management, and the service has deteriorated significantly. Despite the restaurant's website and Just Eat indicating that they offer delivery, I advise against ordering from here as it will only result in wasted time."

"Four of us dropped in here by accident it was over the road from the hotel and it was raining and no Taxis. So glad we did. The food was absolutely fantastic with some different menu items than the norm. The service was excellent and friendly folks with great prices. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great find!!!"

"This restaurant has really gone downhill over the years. The hygiene is lacking, which is a shame because the host was very hospitable. Once seated, we were handed menus which were dirty and sticky. Ordered the drinks, they came in glasses which were marked and sticky down the side. The drink was room temperature flat pop. The food that came didn’t taste bad, but it certainly wasn’t “good”. Very small portion of rice which the curry drowned if you were to pour it all on your plate. Bread was burnt and tasteless. Went to the men’s bathroom by mistake, my god it was stinking. Stunk of urine and it was dirty! I was disgusted by the soap on the sink, how they thought it was ok to leave this filthy black god knows how old bar of soap there for customers. Whole place needs a good bleaching! They’re meant to be rated 4 by the food standards agency but it needs updating!"

"if I were ordered for the first time, I would ignore the bad reviews, read the positive reviews, then order and form their own spirit we have ordered 7 years of them. we have never experienced any tasty bites or broken poppadome, although that would not be a surprise. if you had a popadom before. the food is really delicious and I also like how friendly the team are on the phone and personally when they jump in for the collection. it is our favorite Indian kidnapper in brighton. I love their Sag-Sharfshooters, lammpfadia and their specialty is the best! Thanks. empire tandoori!"

"There was no food available and I am not sure if they even serve food at this restaurant, so I am giving it 1 star. The alcohol-free selection was limited, and I don't always want to just drink coke or water. Our tables were grouped in pairs, which was frustrating since we had booked two tables of 4 several days in advance. We called earlier in the day to confirm our reservation, but there were no reserved signs when we arrived. This was not ideal for a family gathering to watch a football game."

"I made an order which had 3 curry’s one curry container was ok and filled up the other 2 curry containers was less then half filled. Uber eats told me to contact them. I have rang them asking why? His reply was larger containers and some curry’s are less sauce??? As you can see by my photos the difference between the portions of curry’s. Customer service is appalling. I work in the restaurant industry and would never talk to a customer the way I was spoken to. Definitely won’t be ordering from there again my mistake as there are plenty of other Indian take away max and I stupidly chose this one. Not even an apology or anything."

"Great experience! My taste buds are delighted with the delicious flavors. I highly recommend trying the Naga huh, Tikka Garlic Chili, and Tikka Masala dishes. The Mushroom Rice and Fried Rice are also excellent. Just a heads up, when dining in, the meal comes with either picnic or boiled rice, but if you opt for takeout, rice is not included."

"I ordered a takeaway from here after reading reasonable reviews on trip advisor and just eat. I ordered my food via just eat which was fairly simple. It sent me a time that my food would be delivered by a few minutes after placing my...order, which was convenient as I could warm my plates and oven for when it arrived. The food actually arrived before the time I was given which was actually a good thing as I was rather peckish. I was greeted with a happy new year and a smile by the delivery man which was nice. He said he hoped I enjoyed my meal and wished me fair well good service. The food was piping hot and of a good standard. I think there was room for improvement on flavour but quality was very good. The meat used was tender and fresh. I enjoyed the curry and would order from here again, not the best I've had but, for the price, can't go wrong. I had a chicken madras, pilau rice and onion bajhi which came to under £10. I would recommend this curry house for its efficiency, friendly service and good standard of food."

"All 4 dishes were stunning. The scallops were so sweet and enhanced by the delicate sauce. The prawns were succulent and meaty and the salmon was moist and fragrant from the beautiful blend of exotic spices. Gomezadams is not a fan of salmon so I sat there, like a cat in a fishmonger, hoping to snatch his salmon. Alas, he ate the whole thing with delight, much to my chagrin. My favourite dish was the soft shell crabs! Sweet but spicy, soft but crunchy!"

"I like the Mogul because the cooking is slightly different to the usual curry house greats. I would prefer it if the spicy food was more spicy, in our case the dansak was hotter than the Naga curry , 3 chilies should at least make you wince a bit. I'll ask them to rev it up a bit next time. Ambiance could be improved with a fish tank and 20 sitar greats. Beer is way too expensive and they didn't have Carlsburg on tap. I enjoyed the flavour and quality of the food and I'll be back , but I'll go to the pub first."

"wow, what a great Indian restaurant. after house darlington is en route so called to come in the city for a curry, this place had appeared on google maps. from the moment we arrived, we were treated with ease and respect. the lady who served us was so friendly and polite. our eating was amazing, I even had a curry that had been taken from the menu, they were happy to make it for me. service second to none. very favorable too. we would literally come from lincoln to come here. recommend to the bottom."
