Panshee - Menu

We had a meal here early on a Saturday evening when it was quiet. The service was good and efficient if a tad impersonal. The food was good and we enjoyed the evening.

Inside dining is excellent, with friendly staff and lovely, tasty food. The takeaway service is a must, if you’re eating at home. Don’t eat anywhere else if you’re near here!!

I recently enjoyed a high-quality Sunday set menu at this restaurant. The standard fare was well-prepared, cooked to order, and not served buffet-style, which I appreciated. At only 8.95 per adult, it was great value for money. View menu

After not dining at Panshee for several years, we decided to give it another chance, but unfortunately, our experience was terrible. The main dishes lacked flavor, were greasy, and all seemed to blend together without essential ingredients like paneer that should have been included. We have no plans to return in the future.

The place is dated, the toilets stink and we asked to change our coconut from the chutney tray as there was bits of other stuff in it. Only to be served the same pot, but this time stirred up. Food was bland and service was dire. £1.95 for a table spoon of lime pickle. When I pulled him on it, he said the big jar has gone up from 8.99 to 12.99

I visited Panshee in Skewen early on a Saturday evening. There were just 2 diners already there when we arrived. I ordered a garlic Chilli chicken main and my wife a Lamb/lentil dish. When my wife’s meal arrived it was chicken and not lamb (this was rectified quite quickly to be fair) my Garlic chilli chicken had no spice, no garlic and just 1 chilli. Myself and a few friends made the trip here straight after work, My favourite dish is the Chicken Mhakani but I have a peanut and almond allergy so I asked for no almonds to which the waiter said that's fine but when they went and asked the Chef he said he couldn't do it. I refused to order anything else as Zaffran and many other Indian Takeaways/Restaurants around the area have always served me the same dish with no problems at all when I've mentioned my allergy. I sat and watched my friends eat their food and left.

We decided to give Panshee another chance (it was their last as it turns out! . After having a disaster several years ago due to them being “too busy” to provide a decent meal with reasonable service. Well, what a waste of time and money I’ve had far nicer “ready meals” from supermarkets!!! My meal arrived COLD but I had already dished it up. I would have thought it would have been a fresh meal, but NO, it was popped in the micro to warm through (the meat was as tender as the sole of my shoe . The service was disgusting!so on that note, suffice to say, we will NEVER be returning. Cannot leave ratings for some reason, but all very poor!

We went to this restaurant for an early meal on Saturday and thought we wouldn't be there long as it was empty and had just opened. We ordered our chutney tray, drinks, and main meal and waited. The chutney tray came with poppadoms, but we noticed hairs in the chutneys. We told the waiter, who brought back the same chutney with hair in it. We complained again, but the issue wasn't resolved. The manager came out and claimed the hairs were coconut fibers, but we knew they were in all of the chutneys. We left the chutney tray and waited for our main meal, but it never came.
