"There are a few minor improvements that could enhance the room. For instance, the bathroom could use a bit more shelving for personal toiletries, as having them on the floor felt a bit cramped. Additionally, the exhaust fan didn’t seem to work very well, leaving the floor quite damp after a steamy shower. A larger sink would also be beneficial, as washing our faces often resulted in water splattering on the floor. Other than that, everything else about the room was amazing.
I do want to mention that the pricing of some items needs to match the actual costs; I found a £5 discrepancy on the gin I ordered—which is quite typical in London. That said, it was wonderful knowing we had three rooms and our friends were in two of them, which meant we didn’t have to deal with any troublesome guests.
As for the Ginstitute experience, what can I say? It truly made for a memorable birthday gift from the distillery. It's worth every penny for gin lovers! My partner and I, along with our friends, thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic experience, and a huge thank you goes out to our amazing host, Sophie. She was phenomenal and answered every question thrown her way, though she could work on her crying skills!
The Gintonic restaurant was also exceptional—the food was so delightful that we wished we lived closer so we could visit weekly. It feels like a true home away from home, rather than just another hotel. I also want to give a shout-out to the long-haired owner/manager who kindly helped me order a much-needed pizza at 3:30 a.m. It was just what we needed after all those gin drinks!
Overall, this is a lengthy review, but it’s important to acknowledge the love and effort this venue puts into ensuring their guests have a great experience. People are quick to leave negative reviews if they’re unhappy, but we often forget to share the good experiences. Lastly, for fellow gin lovers, start saving your pennies and come fully prepared to enjoy everything this establishment has to offer. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return. Thank you, and see you soon!"
