"Instead of the traditional delicious tapas, the menu now includes items like a barbecue meat burger, sausage with corn, fish and chips, and lamb skewers. My wife opted for the lamb, which used to be served as a tapas portion but is now presented on a large plate. The plate may be big, but the food certainly isn't. We received just three very small lamb skewers, two halved cherry tomatoes, a couple of tiny, hard pita breads that were cold, and a minuscule amount of yogurt and chili sauce— all for a staggering £17.95. It was utterly shameful. I selected the burger for £12.95, and I can confidently say that Wetherspoons serves a better one for half the price, plus they include a free drink. When we voiced our concerns to the waiter, he was honest in his response and suggested we share our feedback with management. Unfortunately, he ignored us upon our arrival and, despite us waiting at the door to speak with him when leaving, he was too busy on his smartphone to notice us. If you’re in search of great food, I recommend you steer clear of this place. It’s simply not worth your time or money."

Food was great as always. One of my favorite places to go with a group visiting from out of town.

I had a wonderful evening with friends. The drink selection was excellent, and the vegetarian options were impressive.

This is a really great place to go with friends or on date night. It is not too noisy and overall I felt it wasn't too expensive. I had a great night here!

GinTonica is in a lovely old building at the heart of Portobello Market, and it has one of the best gin lists I have ever seen, BUT in some ways it relies too much on being cool and having good location. The staff were all larking about, ignoring customers, slow service, we had to beg them for a 2nd drink. They should be all over it. So, all in all, I would come back and I would recommend, but I hope the service picks up soon (at these prices, it really should!

Be cautious when making a reservation. After less than an hour into our dinner, we were informed that the dining area was closing and were moved to a poorly situated table next to the kitchen and restroom in the pub. To make matters worse, we were told we should be grateful to the staff for securing us a table down there. While the discount offered by the manager helped ease our disappointment, it didn't change the fact that the overall quality has noticeably declined compared to last year. I would recommend avoiding this place.
