"I had a bottomless sushi brunch with a friend a week or so ago and I couldn 't fault a thing! A chilled atmosphere with holiday vibes, a view of the Thames and relaxing music in the bbackground and of course, the star of the show bottomless sushi! The food was absolutely amazing, with something for everyone. Whether you are a sushi connoisseur or just wanting to try and see if you like it you 'll be in the right place either way. And if you haven 't had enough of the delicious sushi dishes to start with, there 's also a 'main ' course of crispy duck or aubergine salad! And if you still have space for desert you must try their sweets and fruit plate it 's an absolute winner! We didn 't bring the kids on this occasion, but there was definitely something for them too. The manager was always on hand to make sure everyone was happy and the head chef was popping in and out to meet and great people and to ensure everyone enjoyed their meal! Overall, a fabulous experience which i wholeheartedly recommend and will certainly be going back soon."

"the personal in the restaurant was really friendly and did not sleep at all. eating was very good overall, the only note we had was that the Sirloin steak was cooked a bit more at the well, instead of the medium, but the sushi, slowly cooked bark, iceberg salad and duck breakfast were all amazing. the bark plate was such a big part that we couldn't even finish it and instead the personal it kindly packed to take home. also, I had mentioned during the reservation that we were coming to celebrate my birthday, and the personal surprised me with a complementary dessert with candles and a birthday news that a smile on my face for the rest of the night. would definitely come back. many thanks to chino latino"

"Starting with the table it’s not cleaning properly felt sticky when we sat. The service is bad and unprofessional, we stayed over 25 minutes no one even approached us to ask. Later when the food started arriving the waiter would just place the order and disappear not ask if we need anything or how was the food. Sushi arrived and we had to ask for soy sauce 4 times to get it. Fried chicken was terrible there was barley any chicken inside the batter and if there was it would be dry and over cooked. The Beef to Abaya was very dry and tasted more like lamb. The menu California had crab meat but it had a poot quality crab stick. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant."

"The first thing that catches your attention is the ambience of the place! Buddha Bar is on my to do list every time I am around Knightsbridge. "The environment is friendly and welcoming, however the phone does go off which is a minor inconvenience at best. The decor makes you feel as if you are in a gastronomic trendy restaurant, as per the exposed brick, dark furniture and bright yellow bulbs. Additionally The real selling point is the sushi wheel inside. The menu is limited although this is more to the restaurant size however the refined menu does make way for excellent quality. Just be ready to pay sushi prices is all I'm going to say on that point I've had both sit down and dining and can recommend both. Although this is if you can get the staff's attention as when it is quite they huddle in the area by the coffee machine and talk to each other. Overall I would defiantly come again as it is a gem for the area, although is let down by staff who can be seen in the corner and the phone going off."

"As a fairly regular Ukai customer I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. The service was stellar as usual but the food was terrible the worst I’ve ever had there. We ordered 2 lamb chops, one medium rare and one well done both of which came out looking pretty similarly cooked on a bed of dry wilted salad leaves which can’t have been wilted by the heat of the lamb chops because they were very cold. The sticky rice was warm and bland. The staff were very helpful and apologetic but after microwaving the lamb chops and bringing them back out they were just very dry and unimpressive. Although we were given a small discount at the end as this was birthday meal following me singing Ukai’s praises as one of my favourite bar/restaurants I was and still am very disappointed with my experience. We left feeling hungry after eating a meal and a starter. In addition to this we ordered a juice and one cocktail, which came to £95 with the discount seems pretty steep considering how little we actually ordered."

"The restaurant was absolutely perfect in every way. We received a lovely warm welcome as soon as we entered and were seated at a beautiful table by the window overlooking the canal. Each of the three courses we ordered was perfect, with delicious flavors and impeccable seasoning. The staff were all professional, friendly, and helpful. It was the perfect spot for a pre-concert dinner, as the arena was just a 2-minute walk away. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, as it truly lives up to its impressive appearance and ambiance. In fact, it exceeds expectations! "beautiful new restaurant, decor fresh and clean. warm welcomes, despite the fact that I had booked a table for 2 in mistakes instead of 4, but no excitement was made. noticed that they have other people away who have no bookings so that this place has become very fast popular, it probably has only 30 covers? so it seems essential to book. eating was super, it was expensive, but everything was super tasty, nothing greasy or unpleasant-their website claim no msg used in their kitchen and I certainly did not feel uncomfortable and thirsty after this meal as I did with other Chinese restaurants. the waitresses were very friendly and shared a sweat when we asked about the coffee after the meal, which they did not serve, but they spoke him into a pot of Chinese tees to support his digestion. a beautiful note was a free plate of freshly cut fruits after the meal, everything was quickly deleted and we felt not rushed. we will definitely return."

"My family of five dined at Kouzu while on vacation. Each of us felt a very strange vibe at Kouzu. We were seated in a corner of the first level by a woman who then took our drink orders. There was only one or two other tables filled. My son ordered a soda—a coke. She said they didn’t serve any soda in the restaurant. Really? So he instead ordered a water. She proceeded to bring a large bottle of water that she opened in front of us. I asked what it was—that he wanted just a tap water in place of the soda they didn’t carry. The server then left the table. Another gentlemen came around and sort of took over. I asked him why they didn’t carry any other drinks except water—he said oh we have lemonade coke, Diet Coke etc. The next strange thing was the menu. They gave us ample time with the menu and when they came to take our order I asked what a certain thing was—he said oh that’s a priz five menu that’s different! This menu has never been passed out to us. This was a sushi restaurant and what is nice—and needed quite honestly—is a rundown of each item as it’s placed on the table, as the majority of us ordered a la carte. This didn’t happen. I will say the food itself was delicious, however, the strange vibe we got coupled with the sizable price tag would deter me from patronizing this restaurant again if given the chance."

"We went to Bacaro for dinner on Saturday. We asked to be sat outside as it was a nice evening and they happily accommodated us. Starters were really good, we had the bread and olive oil, the calamari especially good), the crispy parmesan with anchovies and cesar and the stuffed peppers. I liked the calamari, bread and parmesan the best. For mains, we had the tortellini with truffle and seafood stew. The tortellini were good, but a bit of a small portion for a large guy like me. The seafood was also good, but not massive either although bigger size that the tortellini. Overall very good experience, but I would definitely recommend having quite a few starters as the portion size of the mains is on the small side for my taste. Price wise, all very decently priced starters, £4-8) a bit on the pricy side for the mains £10-14) given the portion size and also wine by the glass a bit pricy too at c£8 a large 175ml) glass. Great design inside and very attentive and friendly service. A place to recommend on Roman Road. Will be back for sure."

"This was expected to be a great evening however, failed miserably. We were sat in the back of the restaurant near the fireplace (which was not on) it was cold in this room and we were ignored most of the evening. This was a special occasion for a friends' birthday and fell well below par of what is expected of this acclaimed restaurant especially that which is located in a hotel. We had several waiters/waitresses attend to us and the lack of communication between them was shocking. We were there to enjoy an evening with a nice meal not have to repeat ourselves to the waiting staff. Our drink order was taken about 15 minutes after we sat down and we had to wait a further 20 minutes to receive the same. We placed our order for starters and they were brought out one at a time and by the time the last person in our party received hers the person that got theirs first had finished. We wanted to eat together therefore made a request our mains be served together. When our main course eventually arrived there were items missing from what we had ordered, some dishes were cold and incorrect. We ordered the salmon and were given seabass. When we questioned this the manager insisted that it was salmon and not white fish. After we argued the point he reluctantly admitted we were given the chilean seabass not the Salmon. The dish was replaced as we neared the end of our main course. We were so hungry by this point that we just ate the food. In all honesty the food was nice but the whole experience was disappointing and unacceptable. We sat at our table at 6:30pm and did not leave until 10pm. This was not because were having a great time but due to lack of effective service. Whilst we were offered free drinks and some of the items removed from the bill it certainly did not make up for the ordeal.The staff need to be trained on how to effectively communicate with each other and up the level of service providing the diners with good efficient service."
