"Omg this place is amazing! Forget the big ice-cream chains, this is the place to go. They have a massive selection of homemade gelato ice-cream, which is the best I've ever tried to be honest and I've been to italy! Two very welcoming and friendly owners here, always smiling and chatty. I've been three times and should venture out on their lovely looking food and drinks menu but just can't stop eating their gelato! Highly recommended! 5stars all round!"

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant at midday today. The food did not arrive until 2.40pm. The chicken in the chicken burgers was not sufficient to fill the buns. They made a mistake with the toastie filling, so I called them and they said they would send a replacement. At 3.20pm, the manager called my house and initially said the replacement was on its way. However, he then became aggressive towards my partner, raising his voice and interrupting him. He blamed everything but his own business for the delay and errors, even blaming us despite living within the delivery area and paying £3 for delivery. It is now 4.55pm and the replacement toastie still has not arrived. I paid for something I never received and received abusive behavior from the owner. I will not be returning to this place as the customer service is terrible. I am now uncomfortable knowing that this angry man has my phone number and address."

"Brunch is such an impressive time of days in eating life these days and that makes it hard to decide what to have. Fear not, as you can order a platter at Le Pain Quotidien that gives you everything. It’s only mildly disappointing that it is a chain affair. There’s 219 other Le Pain Quotidien about and chains never make for the most fun or inventive options. The food is good at least. My choice was The Farmer brunch £16.95). That comes with a boiled egg, ham, gruyere, granola parfait, a drink, a juice, a pastry and a choice of bread. Phew. The price point is on the high side not including service as well but it could go towards a pair of mouths. The pain au chocolat and sourdough are particular highlights of the board and I would have to commend the proper Belgian hot chocolate not pictured). There was also three of the spreads Speculoos, Blondie and Noisella) that are fun to sample as well."

"Wandering around Soho we walked by Le Pain and decided to give it a try looks nice from the outside with all these bread put forward on display. Ordered some house Chardonney with olives to start with and then Pizzetta, Organic Lentil Avocado Salad and Prosciutto with Mozzarella on toast. All really good. House wine excellent for house wine category, olives with some spicy flavour, salad was fairly reach (variety of veggies inside), ham was tasty and only pizzetta could have been, perhaps, a bit warmer... "I am a regular at this cafe because it is the best in Dundee! I visit at least three times a week and it's great to have the staff remember my order. They are always friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is fantastic, it's relaxing enough to study in but also has a lively vibe! My go-to drink is a large skinny chai (and the large drinks are huge which I love), it's the best chai I've ever had. And at less than £4 with a student discount, it's a steal! My favorite cakes are the Speculoos, Rainbow Cake, and the delicious banoffee muffins. I will definitely be coming back here every week!"

"Having a coffee at this café was reminiscent of being in Tel Aviv. Noisy traffic, people speaking on their phones in Ivrit, orthodox Jews strolling by and a laid back atmosphere. Even the plumbing was very Israeli. The toilets were very clean but the taps were coming away from the sink. It was a cold day in August, which is definitely not typical of Israel and we were seated outside as a Covid precaution. The friendly staff did offer at least twice to turn on the external heaters which would have been nice, but when we left some 20 minutes later the heaters had still not come on. Well it's the thought that counts ....."

"This restaurant is an amazing hidden gem! After hearing so many positive reviews from family and friends, we decided to try it out today. It definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered a halva chanay puri and a Scottish breakfast, along with 2 teas. The prices were fair for the generous portion sizes, and we were completely satisfied. "We were welcomed with delectable bread and dips, setting the tone for the meal. The Parmah ham tigelle was a standout, reminiscent of the best ham and cheese sandwich. The crispy socca was akin to solid, torn crepe, and the roasted panisse were like chickpea fritters that resembled chips. The buffalo mozzarella salad was above average, although the addition of sardines would have enhanced the dish. The octopus and sweet potato salad was a well-executed interpretation of a common dish, while the wild mushroom and ricotta ravioli burst with mushroom flavor. The Trofie pasta with genovese pesto was simple yet well-executed. The artichoke risotto was sufficiently cooked, with a strong artichoke flavor, although the combination with Parmesan was a bit peculiar. The sage parmesan gnocchi was slightly gummy and lacked depth in flavor. The Riviera-style John Dory was well-cooked but could have benefited from more seasoning. The veal fillet with asparagus was a basic yet well-prepared dish, with a flavorful reduction and perfectly cooked meat. The Gianduja palet dessert was dense and balanced in sweetness, bitterness, and nuttiness, with stellar ice cream. The service at Rivea is of Michelin quality, and the overall dining experience exceeded expectations. It was a very good, reasonably priced meal."

"Now, what can I say....love this place my family and I have made it a little a family tradition to go there when we go to brighton. the gentleman who owns it is so friendly and nothing is too much annoyed and the rest of the staff are equally friendly. the quality and presentation of food is undoubtedly excellent. we've never been disappointed over all the years we're going there. it is a must if they are in brighton, just eat nothing before they go in there, make sure that they are very full of it as they do not scrimp on portion sizes either. we had full breakfast waffel and 2 x dessert waffeln. my family member enjoyed the beautiful sunglass, which was given as a beautiful gesture, because there is birthday so friendly and very unexpected. "Went for Beauty and The Beast afternoon tea yesterday. Utterly stunning building and the room we were sat in was decorated beautifully. The service from start to finish was lovely although we did have to flag someone down anytime we needed something as we were not approached at all for more drinks or if we wanted our scones. The sandwiches were lovely and cut perfectly if not a little bland. The chicken roll was lovely and the toastie was nice but would benefit from stronger cheese as it didn’t really taste of anything. The scones were perfect and some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The sausage rolls were amazing as were the little tart and salmon mousse. The cakes very much let it all down. The blueberry cake tasted of nothing and seemed greasy. The macaron again tasted of very little and the red food colouring stained everything it touched. The lemon cake was nice but the icing was awful and it seemed to be made from margarine rather than actual butter. The chocolate mousse was lovely if not a little strong for the children. Both the savoury and sweet biscuits were out of this world. Our biggest complaint is that 4 of us were squeezed into a small table. We really struggled for space. I couldn’t drink my tea and had to hand back my pot of tea as we simply didn’t have space for it. We felt incredibly cramped. It would of been nice to have some music in line with the themed afternoon tea playing too perhaps?"
