"This café and shop on the ground floor is dog-friendly and welcoming to locals. I highly recommend trying the delicious pancakes, which are served in generous portions. There is ample parking available at the rear of the building or in a nearby public car park. The service, atmosphere, and food quality all receive top ratings. The menu is perfect for a hearty breakfast, with prices ranging from £1 to £10 per person. Don't miss out on the blueberry pancakes!"

"I brought my partner and family here to celebrate their birthday at the recomendation. I have to say I was more than impressed what a great place to eat/drink. very clean, great view of the lake, very friendly staff. ordering for drinks taken as soon as we sat and did not have to wait very long until the meal arrives. my partner and her daughter ordered the dressed crab from the special menu and although it tasted very nice, my partner krabbe had a little bowl in it. we have not complained, but we have pointed this out to our waitress who brought the manager right away. what a really nice man he was, he was very apologetic and offered my partner an alternative meal without additional costs. the alternative meal just arrived and was perfect. despite the unfortunate experience with the crab that was most likely a departure, eating here was perfect and the service was second on none. we will return here and recommend it to everyone. a great place for couples or families (like children for) to enjoy a beautiful meal in a beautiful environment."

"Great place to visit. Very kid friendly. Makes for the perfect spot to go for a drink break, lunch or a breastfeeding stop with baby (sofas are a godsend)! Good variety of drinks, lovely hot chocolate! Food is always delicious. Customer service is always great. And it is probably the nicest decor I've ever seen in an eating establishment. So quirky! It's my favourite place to go in town."

"I had a lovely experience at this beautiful tearoom. The staff were exceptionally friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They were also very accommodating in making a custom sandwich for my pregnant companion, which we truly appreciated. They definitely went above and beyond. Additionally, they provided a high chair for our little one, which was a nice touch. The cake selection was amazing, and the tea options were fantastic as well. My only suggestion would be to use fresher bread for the sandwiches, but overall, this tearoom offers the best lunch selection in the village by far. Thank you for a delightful lunch!"

"Lovely vibe, friendly staff but they need some support in their kitchen, the food took far too long to come out. 2 breakfast items took about 30 minutes to come out which felt excessive for a normal amount of people in the restaurant I would say the food quality is quite good, and really nice place to eat. If they can sort out their food timings it'll really take off."

"If you're a fan of blueberries, you must try the Blueberry Dream smoothie at this restaurant. It's made with blueberries, frozen yogurt, bananas, and cranberry juice. I absolutely love it!"

"Went to sit in for some lunch. Food and drinks were tasty. The main issue was the service. There was only one employee taking orders, making drinks, and cooking, so everything was slow to come out. Not ideal with two toddlers. However there is baby changing facilities (including some nappies) in the toilets which is great to see in an independent business."

"I visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning around 9am and it was quite crowded. Luckily, we were seated immediately and a server quickly took our drink orders. For breakfast, my wife ordered blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon and maple syrup, which she said were delicious but she couldn't finish them all. I had the 'Greasy Spoon' breakfast, which included sauces, bacon, hash browns, beans, toast, and poached eggs of my choice. It was well presented and tasted good, but the downside was that all the items were lukewarm/cold. I mentioned this to the server, but the only response was to clear the plates and ask if we wanted the bill. The meal was not cheap, costing around £47. Overall, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, the food was decent and presented well, but the breakfast was cold and overpriced."

"The vegan bowls are really yummy and I enjoyed mine. Unfortunately I had to deduct one star as it is getting very expensive. You used to be able to choose one item from either Hummus, Avocado or Raita for free. Now there is a £1.50 additional charge for these 'premium ' items (as they call them), which brought the cost of a medium bowl to £8.40. I find this a bit too expensive for what it is. It should be £6.90 including one of the 'premium ' items. Also, slight disappointment in terms of the chef and waitress talking loudly to each other, whilst I was sitting there eating my food, which made it less than peaceful to sit there and eat quietly. It was an early lunch, so I was the only customer there at the time. Nevertheless, they should have been mindful and lowered their voices, as it disturbed my enjoyment of my meal. Overall, this place has nice vegan food, but they need to address those niggling issues."

"Super lovely staff and restaurant. Vegan brunch plate was amazing, as well as the English breakfast sandwich! Vegan hollandaise sauce was to die for. Juices were fresh and delicious Had the carrot cake to finish off and that was great! Didn't look at the whole menu in detail but I think they're full vegan now! Would double check to make sure."

"Phenomenal! We walked past here on Tuesday evening pretty late and it was closed but we were so intrigued that we made a visit back the next day to try out for some lunch. I went for the Trip To Mexico wrap accompanied by a Magic Dragon tea, and my partner had the aubergine panini (I forget the actual name) along with a mango tea. Absolutely insane! The drinks were wonderful, a full tea pot filling about 4 refills of the teacup and were super tasty! The food itself was amazing the portions are HUGE, I actually had to give half of mine to my partner as I was stuffed. Delicious though and so excited to return. An absolute hidden gem with fantastic staff!"

"Avoid this place, it's terribly managed. It can ruin your night. Last time I was there for a friend's birthday. They agreed to host a group of 40-50 people, but did not care to stock up on the bottles we pre-ordered, so couldn't serve us. They also didn't have enough staff, so there was noone to take our orders. They ran out of gin by 11pm !? . All this while the place wasn't even half full. It's one thing to have bad service, but it's absolutely unacceptable to commit to hosting a special occasion and fail to do anything they agreed or even offer basic bar service. I experienced similar unexplainable issues all 3 nights I visited. They always run out of the most basic drinks, like gin and rum. It's a shame, because the place looks nice and has potential to be great."

"Flew all the way from Boston today on the red eye to visit Chiswick and the Parle Pantry, a delightful vegan coffee and pastry spot, and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. The coffee here is exceptional – rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. I tried their flat white with oat milk, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The pastries are a revelation; each one is a masterpiece of vegan baking. The chocolate croissant was flaky and indulgent, and the lemon poppy seed muffin was light, moist, and bursting with flavor. Had the porridge three times for breakfast after my 10k runs. Perfect fuel filled! Wish I could make at home in Boston. The variety is impressive, catering to all tastes with gluten-free options as well. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients truly shine through in every bite. Whether you're a vegan or not, Parle Pantry is a must-visit. It's the perfect spot for a cozy coffee date or a quick treat. I can't wait to return and try more of their delectable offerings!"

"We went for a lunch sample menu on a Saturday. The food was perfectly balanced and not one course disappointed. The portions initially may look small, but with the number of courses and the flavours that come through, it is satisfying and scrumptious, and we did not leave hungry, like some people have mentioned. I feel people making those comments don't actually appreciate beautifully crafted and balanced meals. I also chose the additional cheese board, which I expected to be quite small, but it wasn't. There was a very good amount of cheese for the extra cost. I would definitely opt for it again. We opted for the wine pairing to go with the courses, and they were perfectly matched to either complement or cut through the flavours. The staff member explaining the wine was very professional and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great, in the gorgeous wonky listed building. It has been decorated and celebrated well. Love the exposed brick and the large fireplace. The staff were knowledgeable, kind, and very attentive. We will definitely be going back for an evening meal."

"Visited for lunch around 1:30pm. I was initially really excited to visit however it wasn’t what it lived up to be. The pricing strategy is absolutely ridiculous. £4.75 a sandwich if you take away or £7.25 if you sit in??? How does that work? When I walked in, tables outside were all dirty or only partially clean. Staff didn’t really seem that interested. I ordered a full breakfast and asked for a well done egg which came runny, I asked to swap mushrooms for a hash brown which never happened. Staff didn’t check back with us to see how our food was even once. The food was very average overall, below the standard I expected. I’ve given 2 stars as the coffee was okay and food was served within about 15 minutes but the place was empty."

"Delicious food, well priced, in a nice little cafe. My other half went for the Hungry Veggie breakfast and I had the vegan sausage and roasted veg ciabatta with sweet onion marmalade. I followed it up with a lovely cupcake and then bought some cakes to take away for later! Extensive drinks menu and plenty of vegan milks on offer!"
