A delightful blend of fresh blueberries enveloped in a flaky, golden crust, perfect for a sweet indulgence.

"This is an edit of my previous review. I think there was originally some confusion with the staff over whether honey was vegan and the chocolate flavour used honey as the sweetener, but a steady stream of Leicester vegans made a difference and they changed the recipe! Now there always seems to be one vegan chocolate sorbetto, and sometimes chocolate orange or some other variant. At the moment they're also serving a coconut flavour which is very creamy and a good foil to the other, more intense flavours, but since the flavours change regularly I don't know how long that will stay a fixture in the cabinet. Other than that, the fruit flavours are very good. I've tried strawberry, melon blueberry, kibana (kiwi banana), mixed red berry, fig, pineapple, blood orange, tangerine, er... I forget the others! The things that stopped me giving this place a 5 score were that it's not entirely vegetarian I was told the glaze on one of the cakes is gelatine, so veggies beware. They have now started labelling the vegan options but the sorbets and ice cream are next to each other so although each one has it's own scoop it might not be the best choice for those with a dairy allergy in terms of cross contamination."

"We went for Mother’s Day family meal only to be told they have ran out of naan after serving three naans. How does a Indian restaurant run out of naan ?! Unless they are not fresh which goes against what they claim in the adverts ! The rotis were wraps warmed up. Basically something I could buy in Tesco’s. Awful awful awful. We went for a pretty early dinner so this was shocking. The service was slow considering the restaurant was empty ! Half of the drinks came and then the rest of us had to wait another 20 min for the rest of the drinks. Asked twice for water jug! Came 30 min later ! Wouldn’t go again tbh. Such. Shame. Instagram pleasing place with no substance"

"Phenomenal! We walked past here on Tuesday evening pretty late and it was closed but we were so intrigued that we made a visit back the next day to try out for some lunch. I went for the Trip To Mexico wrap accompanied by a Magic Dragon tea, and my partner had the aubergine panini (I forget the actual name) along with a mango tea. Absolutely insane! The drinks were wonderful, a full tea pot filling about 4 refills of the teacup and were super tasty! The food itself was amazing the portions are HUGE, I actually had to give half of mine to my partner as I was stuffed. Delicious though and so excited to return. An absolute hidden gem with fantastic staff!"

"Visited for lunch around 1:30pm. I was initially really excited to visit however it wasn’t what it lived up to be. The pricing strategy is absolutely ridiculous. £4.75 a sandwich if you take away or £7.25 if you sit in??? How does that work? When I walked in, tables outside were all dirty or only partially clean. Staff didn’t really seem that interested. I ordered a full breakfast and asked for a well done egg which came runny, I asked to swap mushrooms for a hash brown which never happened. Staff didn’t check back with us to see how our food was even once. The food was very average overall, below the standard I expected. I’ve given 2 stars as the coffee was okay and food was served within about 15 minutes but the place was empty."

"so much choice! coffee was great and they had many choices, including several veggie and vegan options. only the question is that after sitting they have to adjust the waiting queue, and yet this is the same waiting queue as the crazy ride Takeaway line (because of the big coffee that is easily removed from the experience. Maybe app orders / a separate line for those who eat in, more effective? in any case eating was lavish and the staff was really friendly and helpful. price reasonable! would recommend!"

"Have visited here many times for breakfast, firstly when it was called Riverford and subsequently when it became 'Ben 's Farm Shop ' (but still part of the same empire I believe). Last visit, some time ago, saw reduced breakfast portions compared to previous visits. Thought it was a one off perhaps....but no. Visited again on Saturday 23rd Feb 2019 and food portions are noticeably smaller than they used to be. I ordered beans with sourdough toast and spinach, with a side of bacon (as an extra). Toast did not look like sourdough, the beans were a tiny portion, comprising mainly sauce and very few beans, along with a barely visible 'eye ' of bacon. Did not realise until I looked at the menu again and after I had eaten everything, that the spinach was not actually served with the dish, as stated on the menu. Likewise, husbands mushrooms on toast were a mean portion. I know prices have increased generally, but I would rather have a proper sized breakfast at the real cost; not a smaller mean portion at the 'old ' price, to make it look like the establishment has held it prices. The portions barley kept us full to lunchtime. What a shame. Will move on down the road a few miles to the Green Table at Dartington next time I 'm in the area and see how they fare. Sorry Ben 's but you are no longer worth a vist for breakfast."

"My Partner and I were strolling through Penzance, a pint of local brew downed and a wander. We came across this quirky looking Restaurant/Bar in the pedestrian zone and decided to pop in. Wow!!! What a different and interesting Quirky Place. Great menu selection of...Hot Dogs and burgers with a difference. 11” long home made pork sausage in a roll with Fries, fried onions and selection of toppings. Mine had sweet BBQ Pulled pork with mature cheddar and my partner had Chilli. Great, quick service with a smile. Lovely meal and side order of home made onion rings. Endless stream of customers too. Well priced and very satisfying. Well done and “I’ll (we’ll)be back!!!"

"What a find on our recent visits to Gullane. We went three times whilst on holiday nearby. Dog friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. The food is superb. The staff are all very nice and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately on our last visit our golden retriever puppy Bella became ill after drinking a lot of salt water on the beach so we had to make a hasty departure. The staff were so concerned and looked up details of a nearby vet. Fortunately Bella recovered after treatment from the Vet in Macmerry. I would certainly recommend this cafe. It seemed to be used by local residents which is always a good sign. Will definitely visit again if we are in the area. The scones are amazing."

"I dined at this restaurant while staying at the Dorsett Hotel. After a tiring day, I opted to eat at the hotel restaurant instead of going to Westfield. When I arrived at 7:15pm, I was the only person there. I appreciate a quiet atmosphere when dining alone and reading a book, but the lack of background music left the restaurant feeling lacking in ambiance. It took quite some time for another patron to arrive. The menu was limited, but I chose the Suffolk Chicken as my main dish. It was decent, but I should have ordered some vegetables to add more variety to the flavors. For dessert, I tried the Baked Alaska, which was overly frozen and difficult to eat without it bouncing around the plate. The accompanying orange sauce was also excessive. The total cost of the meal came to £25, with a 12.5% service charge that I didn't realize was included. While I am happy to tip, I prefer it to be separate or clearly stated on the bill. The meal ended up being quite pricey for two courses. I chose this restaurant for convenience, but I don't think I would dine here again."

"I have visited this restaurant before and loved it. This time, I went with friends for breakfast. The staff was lovely and the food was also delicious. However, when it came time to pay, we all wanted to pay individually and none of us wanted to pay the service charge, which is apparently discretionary. The first two of us paid for our individual food, but the third payment included the total bill, including the service charge. Even though we expressed that we did not want to pay the service charge, we were told it couldn't be removed at that stage and should have been mentioned at the beginning of the payment process. It was a bit confusing to us why it couldn't be removed, but we ended up paying it anyway. In the end, we each individually reimbursed our friend who had paid the total service charge for all of us."

"we came for a meal on Thursday and it was amazing. from the homemade blueberry limonade, we shared a mixed cold plate of cold meat, cheese, brot and salad items followed by the huh and chorizo paella. you have to say it was all absolutely delicious, only we wish time for one dessert and coffee, but we had to go to the cinema. to surpass everything, the waitress was so friendly and helpful. can not wait to visit again very soon. what a precious stone"

"Very nice place would recommend! The food is good value for money and very enjoyable too, the staff were very friendly and attentive too! In the Rocpool we ordered: Tomato and Basil Risotto, Parma Ham Salad and Cream of Cauliflower Soup, (starters). Then we ordered Battered Fillet of Hake, Oriental Chicken Salad, Monkfish and Rice (main meal). For desert we had Coconut, Blueberry and Almond Cake, as well as the Creme Brule. Since there is a lot of food here I won't criticise them separately in paragraphs but I will give some important points on the dishes. Start of with the starters. I absolutely loved the starters they were are amazing and everyone enjoyed what they got. I had the tomato and basil risotto which was creamy and delicious and I could've eaten a huge bowl of this. The soup had a distinctive taste of truffle oil and felt very luxurious, it was tasty and silky and wasn't over seasoned. The salad was delicious. It tasted fresh and the pears were succulent yet still had a bite to them. The main meal was a slight disappointment, don't get me wrong they were delicious as separate dishes but together the dish just didn't seem to come together. The oriental chicken salad wasn't bad but wasn't great. To me it was too sweet and just didn't match well with the cashews. The crisp on the chicken was really nice though. The hake was delicious and we could not fault it. The monkfish and rice, like the oriental chicken, the separate components were very tasty but as a dish it didn't really come together. Despite this all three dishes were pretty great. The deserts really made the three course meal. The cake was fluffy, soft and nice but really I thought the creme brule was the best desert. It had a great crackle on the top and the custard just melted in my mouth. It was divine. Overall great place to come and eat. The staff are super kind but I would advise you too book online as it is quite busy. "We have friends who live nearby, and when we go ti visit them, a trip to Wee Bears Cafe is no 1 on the agenda. The location is perfect, so peaceful and beautiful . The food is delicious and different. My personal favourite is Bacon Scruffin mmmmm!! and then of course there’s wee bear himself. Such a gorgeous friendly dog, who has now been joined by the beautiful Winnie. Best just happens to be the double of our dog Tess, who sadly went over the rainbow bridge a few years ago. There simply isn’t anything not to like here. The humans too are lovely people and always up for a bit chat! Even the customers are friendly, I think we exchanged greetings with everyone there, and even got to sit in a customers classic Volvo ! It simply doesn’t get any better."

"Fab range of savoury pastries and cakes, and very extensive drinks menu of coffees, smoothies, milkshakes etc. We had an oat flat white and a deluxe bueno hoy chocolate , including cream and chocolate curls. Other hot choc options included pistachio and other intriguing flavours! Mine was very sweet but delicious! To eat we had a leek fritter ciabbata, savoury croissant (cream cheese, bacon, rocket and chilli jam) and a pizza twist. Then we took away a lemon and courgette cake slice and a cream cheese cinnamon swirl! The room was tall and bright with lots of plants! And there was a lovely gift shop of candles, jewellery, socks and vegan chocolate towards the back of the cafe. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-07"

"Zizzi Bishop 's Stortford. A regular haunt which we return to time and time again. Mainly for the friendly and helpful staff. Even if you have not booked, and have to wait for a table they look after you. Food excellent and will always 'tweak ' dishes to your tastes. Nothing to fault."

"I visited here recently with friends, I had my two young babies with me and have found the staff to be quite rude, an older lady working there in particular. I wasn’t greeted with a smile or made to feel welcome, the lady serving me was quite abrupt, my baby was teething on this occasion and noticed I was being glared at and made to feel like my baby was making a scene. When asked if we could use two of the high chairs, the member of staff snapped that we couldn’t block the area we were sitting at I was made to feel like an inconvenience as I had my pram also with me. The drinks were slapped down and were also cold. In other cafe shops I have been to, staff have bent over backwards to help and have been very friendly and understanding towards new mothers as a new mother with her hands full I was left to feel very anxious and embarrassed and that my custom wasn’t valued. It’s not my first visit or the first time I have noticed the staff to be rude but was prepared to give it the benefit of doubt. My mother in law had since mentioned that she found staff to be rude when she visited some time ago. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting again"

"Amazing experience, thank you. Waitress was very knowledgeable of the area and beyond, so gave us, as tourists very valuable advice. The food- well where do I start? Lush! Fresh! Modern! Healthy! I ordered Oriental Beauty tea. It arrived in a clear glass with a real flower to douse in the hot water to infuse. Tasted delightful. The food I ordered was divine. Fresh, home baked bread, home made baked beans and well the haggis and black pud was my first experience and judging from this, I will eat haggis again. Thank you for making our short stay so memorable. 5stars"
