"I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. While the staff were friendly, they seemed uninterested in providing good service. The maitre'd spent over 40 minutes chatting with one table, neglecting other customers and showing unprofessional behavior. The food was only average, nothing stood out, and the presentation was lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant and I have no plans to visit again."

"The ambiance and decor at The Wet Fish are enchanting, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The attention to detail in the decor and overall atmosphere demonstrates the restaurant's commitment to providing a memorable setting. The culinary offerings at The Wet Fish never disappoint. The menu features a curated selection of culinary masterpieces, showcasing a diverse range of flavors and textures. Each dish is a work of art, reflective of the creativity and teamwork behind it. I also highly recommend the concert nights featuring international artists for a more intimate and cozy experience. Amel Thomas and her team have truly created a special dining destination at The Wet Fish."

"The waiter whose name I forget was incredibly friendly but the food took an age to come and was cold. The sides were mixed up. The waiter tried his best but I felt some of the orders were ready long before others hence the reason some dishes were cold. I asked for fresh hot chips and got piping hot chips in a very short time. It was a family birthday and he made a huge fuss and organised a brownie with a candle. As I say he took great pride in his work and solved problems made by the background staff."

"I was unaware that this cafe had changed ownership. It used to be absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, the quality has significantly declined since the new management took over. The staff member was friendly and attentive, however, the food was terrible. It was all cheap and poorly prepared. The sausage was tough, the fried egg was overcooked with a hard yolk and burnt edges, the beans were low quality, and the toast was pre-buttered with nasty margarine, not even buttered to the edges. I believe toast should be presented without being covered in butter and given a separate butter square to add yourself. In any case, I suggest not wasting your money here and finding another place to eat."

"This restaurant is a beautiful place that I believe is facing difficulties due to the bad news of COVID-19. People may be feeling confused, but I encourage them not to lose hope. The restaurant could benefit from having a front person, a host who can connect with customers and bring energy into the business. We were unsure about the food, but it seemed to be a mix of Moroccan and Turkish cuisine. I wish the restaurant good luck in the future, and I will definitely be back to show my support."

"Me and my grandma decided to visit loggerheads as she hadn’t been in a while and we we hoping to enjoy a drink and sandwich outside in the sun. When we arrived the queue was out the door and it seemed the cafe was severely understaffed. We waited in the queue for around 20 minutes before being served. The cakes and sugar cubes were being surrounded by wasps from outside. We ordered a tea, iced coffee and 2 sandwiches (avoided the wasp cakes) which came to a huge £21.10. The tea was way too strong (pouring out black) and only a tiny amount of milk was given. We were told the coffee would be brought to us along with the sandwiches. We sat outside in the sun and when our sandwiches arrived we were rudely told we couldn’t sit on the table we were sitting on as it was too far on the grass area (about 30m) and all other seats outside were either taken or overrun by wasps. We then decided to sit inside. There was no coffee brought to the table so we then had to ask for them to make it again. It was served in a plastic ice cream sundae dish with about 70% of it being ice. My grandma asked a kind worker (seemed to be from Liverpool) if she could have a new tea and she was absolutely lovely and happily fetched a new one. She was probably the only pleasant worker we spoke to. The sandwiches were on really thick bread with a dark and thick stem salad. There was no cutlery provided which we had to ask for again. We felt rude having to push in the queue just to keep asking for things we hadn’t been given. We were both in agreement that we wouldn’t be rushing back there again. The cafe has so much potential but just seems to be doing everything wrong."
