"Me and my grandma decided to visit loggerheads as she hadn’t been in a while and we we hoping to enjoy a drink and sandwich outside in the sun. When we arrived the queue was out the door and it seemed the cafe was severely understaffed. We waited in the queue for around 20 minutes before being served. The cakes and sugar cubes were being surrounded by wasps from outside. We ordered a tea, iced coffee and 2 sandwiches (avoided the wasp cakes) which came to a huge £21.10. The tea was way too strong (pouring out black) and only a tiny amount of milk was given. We were told the coffee would be brought to us along with the sandwiches. We sat outside in the sun and when our sandwiches arrived we were rudely told we couldn’t sit on the table we were sitting on as it was too far on the grass area (about 30m) and all other seats outside were either taken or overrun by wasps. We then decided to sit inside. There was no coffee brought to the table so we then had to ask for them to make it again. It was served in a plastic ice cream sundae dish with about 70% of it being ice. My grandma asked a kind worker (seemed to be from Liverpool) if she could have a new tea and she was absolutely lovely and happily fetched a new one. She was probably the only pleasant worker we spoke to. The sandwiches were on really thick bread with a dark and thick stem salad. There was no cutlery provided which we had to ask for again. We felt rude having to push in the queue just to keep asking for things we hadn’t been given. We were both in agreement that we wouldn’t be rushing back there again. The cafe has so much potential but just seems to be doing everything wrong."

We had lunch at this restaurant and it was always enjoyable, but today I asked for scrambled eggs on toast that were not too runny. Unfortunately, they came out almost liquid. Thankfully, someone else at our table swapped their dish with mine.

Visit here often when out for a walk in the beautiful surroundings of the country park. Enjoy the vegan options and the herbal teas great for those of us who need to be dairy-free. The quality of the food is always excellent and mostly locally sourced. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go out for a healthy bite to eat.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times and the staff are always friendly. The service is excellent, even when they have a large group of 30 people dining at the same time. They treat regular customers like friends and the food is outstanding (with generous portion sizes). They have highchairs available, as well as toys to keep children entertained, a children's menu, and dogs are also welcome. The menu offers a variety of options and the cakes and ice cream choices are delicious. They also offer afternoon tea, although I did not try it during my visit. View menu

Really shocked at the terrible experience I had today at at Caffi Florence. It is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. No one expects to enter a cafe with a child and be shouted at! That is unfortunately what happened today and my friend’s daughter was really upset. I went to try and buy ice creams at the window of the cafe and was asked to go inside so that I could be served there. I went inside and the manager proceeded to shout at us, saying the cafe was closed. Meanwhile other people were being served right in front of us! She wouldn’t accept my explanation as to why we had come inside and was incredibly rude. I then left only to see several other people being served ice...

We found this place clean and tidy, except some stupid customer had left a used facemask on one of the tables, but this is not the cafe's fault. Customers should take their bacteria ridden rubbish with them.I gave a star as the tables were a bit sticky and the cups of coffee weren't large enough as I will tell you now, IT WAS LOVELY.My other half had the hot chocolate and she loved it, she even said it was one of the best she's had and she is very fussy.I had a Honduras Latte and it was very good and as I say, it wasn't a big enough cup it was in.Someone even came in and said to the lad who served us that it was the best he had ever had and that he makes it well. It's nice to have a second o...

"Went for afternoon tea with my wife, using an 'experience ' voucher from a well known site, costing £35.99 absolute disaster! The description said 'sit down in the sophisticated dining room and tuck into a section of finger sandwiches, tantalising cakes, pastries, macarons and scones with clotted cream and jam. You won 't want this afternoon to end! ' Trust me, we could not get out of their quick enough and go and find somewhere to get something to eat. The sophisticated dining room was a large, cold room with only a couple of other diners, sticky wooden tables, with no table cloths, just a flimsy paper napkin and a knife and fork. We ordered a coffee and a tea, which came in the smallest teapot, I have ever seen. Later in the meal, when we asked for another drink, we were told that was extra and were charged another £5.70. The food was nothing like as described or pictured on the website. A sad looking selection of sandwiches four quarters each of thin sliced bread one containing a very small piece of processed ham, a second mashed up egg, third was some sort of fish, not sure if it was salmon or tuna; and finally some sort of green leaf with something wet on top it looked like the sandwich had been made days earlier and then sat upon! No pastries or macarons but the two scones with clotted cream and two little pots of jam were OK, however the remaining small cakes were dreadful, none of them were fresh there were two eclairs that were inedible, either the cream or chocolate was off and they were very dry; two little red velvet cakes, which again were dry and horrible; and finally two small pieces of carrot cake that were the least objectionable but again very dry. When we told the waitress the eclairs, she said she would tell the chef but no offer of an alternative. True, it was an unforgettable experience, but not in the way we had expected! We have had afternoon teas in top hotels, pubs, cafes and well known garden centres and nothing came close to being as bad as this meal. Needless to say we will never return and would strongly advise caution if anyone is thinking of going here."
