"I and my wife visited their sarg shop on Saturday and we are very impressed that the service was excellent eating out went out a little slow, but they were ram packed so that this was understandable and when the food came out, it was delicious and well worth waiting. I also like the way they are very much on the way and wise how they cook certain foods, since my wife is pregnant some foods that they do not have and some food must be well cooked I asked the waitress if this was possible and she said yes, we are as some other well-known coffin shops in the opposite do not take this and it is like taking or letting it keep. so well done and we will definitely be back to visit and highly recommend them"

"If you visit Droitwich and need a drink or meal then Spats is where you should head for. Spats is a delightful cafe in Droitwich's unique High Street. The meals are varied and all freshly prepared and we have never been disappointed. The accommodation is deceiving as there is additional seating both upstairs and outside with two garden rooms at the rear. If you enjoy alfresco eating then there is an area opposite the cafe where you can eat or drink and watch the world go by. All of this with attentive and very friendly staff."

"They offer gluten-free and dairy-free options at this restaurant, but when I ordered gluten-free and dairy-free French toast (without cream, only eggs), it was inedible. I couldn't even cut through it and I was served both heels of the loaf. The non-gluten-free option looked delicious though. I complained that the food was inedible, but was only given a 50% discount on the gluten-free meal. I won't be returning to this restaurant."

"We have very mixed feelings about this pub. A very good point, the food is excellent! The beers too! Plus, there's live music. Concerning the rooms, the children's room was rather comfortable and well decorated. Unfortunately, that of the parents did not correspond at all to the confirmation or to our expectations. The bed is indeed large and comfortable but accessible from one side only, good luck if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night! And no bedside table on the wall side... Unlike the other bedroom, no desk, no chair... The bathroom is disappointing too! Endless waiting for lukewarm water in the shower, toilet impossible to use unless you take a gynecological position because the shower cubicle is 15 cm away. In addition, the heating did not work in the bathroom or in the bedroom and with an 18th century window everything is cold and damp. No hook either, and so if you took a shower in the evening, the towels are still soaked the next morning... Rooms: Be careful to have the confirmed room, room 3 should be avoided"

"The place ticks all the boxes let's start with atmosphere, which is relaxed but with attentiveness from staff. There is an inclusive feel, with space to welcome a broad spread of community members. Delicious snacks and impressive range of hot beverages often with an unusual twist. I would suggest supplying an extra saucer when serving tea; the whole idea of a removable casette in the pot is to remove it once the brew reaches the desired strength! As far a tips by card is concerned (referring to another reviewer) that idea is a contradiction in terms! Anyone concerned that staff do not miss out should consider carrying a small amount of cash specifically for this purpose..."

"Just visited the Fossgate Spring Expresso. On ordering we were told that there would be a 30 minute wait however after waiting over 45 minutes we asked one of the waitresses for a progress on our order. She went to investigate, came back 5 minutes later with no explanation and continued clearing the tables. Waiting a further 5 minutes, still nobody came to explain/apologise. It was only when we went to the counter asking for a refund that we were told our order was missed. We understand that they were busy, all it needed was an explanation and an apology. Such a shame, feel they have extended their premises beyond their capabilities."

"I only live a couple of miles away in the fabulous little town of Barnoldswick but have only just tried this cafe.....called in with my daughter for an all day breakfast and cake and coffee....we will certainly making this a regular drop in! Nothing pretentious, small, with a log burning stove, wooden floors, second hand books for sale, homemade cakes and good wholesome food! Oh, and a love old friendly black Labrador as well."

"We came here for breakfast one day and were delighted. The full English was excellent and reasonably priced for the Lakes. The menu was on display outside. Special mention must be made of the waitress who was really efficient taking orders, delivering food, cleaning down tables and generally adding to the atmosphere of a well run and thriving establishment."

"I don't get the low reviews here. This is a GREAT spot to grab a quick but delicious brekkie to dine there or take away. It's sheer brilliance to have this cafe attached to a tour group. Even still, a friend of ours who is local (well, relatively, from Perhshire) loves this place. I whole heartedly agree. The haggis and black pudding rolls are fantastic. Simple, done well, and with a dollop of brown sauce, you are good to go. You can bet your bum we will be here again next time we are in Edinburgh"

"While staying in the highlands we spent a day on the Isle of Skye. We had our quite large dog with us, so lunch needed to be somewhere we could accommodate him while we ate, and McKenzie’s Bakery, opposite the car park, had picnic benches outside we thought would work well. The menu is simple; sandwiches, salads and baked potatoes, not to mention tempting-looking cakes on display, as well as a decent selection of hot drinks. The queue, although out of the door due to local school lunchtime, was very swiftly dealt with, and no obstruction to a great lunch. We ordered three rolls (ham, cheese and chutney, and chicken tikka), which all came with fresh salad inside, plus a jacket potato with beans and cheese. The cheese was that lovely sharp tasting Scottish orange cheddar; the chicken tikka roll garnered particular praise from our teenage son. I had read to expect to pay a little more on Skye for lunch. It’s a tourist area and an island, and we’re fine with that. When I paid I was pleasantly surprised by the cost, about £24 for four lunches and hot drinks. The stream of local teens buying lunch in their school break is testament to this being a great place to stop."

"My partner is a great fan of Waylands Yard. I am less of a fan! This is a quirky place to hang out. The food is not the usual run of the mill food you will find nearby. I had Lebanese eggs which were lovely! Very good indeed. The food is cooked from scratch. This is a quirky restaurant and I would come here without my partner. If you like good coffee and a wide of range of teas you will do well here. They don't sell wine but you can get beer and cider. The place is dog friendly which is why we come here. Try Waylands Yard for your self."

"Yesterday, I visited the Waterside Cafe and had lunch. I then hung out for awhile eating dessert and having a coffee. Mo, the owner, provided lovely food at a great price. More importantly, he was the consummate host, and really took the time to come over and say hello to me. Friendly but not pushy, Mo was so sweet. We chatted about world events, Trump's presidency (I was a visiting American), and our respective religious viewpoints. As someone who is Jewish and clearly observant by my head covering, I was nervous that Mo would be uncomfortable around me. Not even close he was so wonderful that I walked in a stranger and walked out a friend. Please give this wonderful cafe your business. The food was tasty, the coffee was delicious, and it was well worth the money. Great, central location."

"I was planning to hike Arthur's Seat, so I wanted to keep my lunch light. I ordered the vegan haggis along with a toastie. I really enjoyed the different aromas of the vegan haggis. The sandwich was a good size and quite filling. I liked the haggis as well. My partner opted for the "Hungry Rabbit," which included mushrooms, paprika, and feta. I had a bite of it and found it delicious too. I would have loved to try more dishes, but I was still full from breakfast and didn't want to overeat before my hike. The food is only available for takeaway, so we found a spot in a nearby park to enjoy our meal. The location is very convenient, and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were friendly too. They also sell a variety of vegan treats, and I couldn't resist picking up some chocolate. Everything I've tried from the Gnaw brand is fantastic. This is an updated review from my previous one on September 22, 2022."

"We stopped at this restaurant for food and drinks while exploring the village. We sat in the charming back garden of the tea room. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. The prices were fair and the food was honest. My daughter enjoyed her fresh banana milkshake and a generous serving of crumpets. We also tried the fruit scones as the server mentioned they were freshly made that morning and they were delicious. We had a lovely cup of tea and coffee as well. This is actually our second visit here, as we remembered it from our last holiday in 2022. We decided to return and were not disappointed. It's a lovely place!"

"Having lived here for years and tried all the cafes and casual restaurants in the Holme Valley this is honestly the best. Imaginative and varied food, friendly and attentive staff including some youngsters, who I am glad to see working, who were professional, careful, accurate and pleasant. My salad nicoise with generous seared tuna steaks was less than £9 and given the prices charged at other places in the area for pizza, pasta and sandwiches with cheap ingredients, this place is extremely good value. Delicious deserts made on the premises, no cheating tray bakes bought in. Cider and apple juice from their press. Garden seating. Inside, partly outside. My new go to lunch out. If I only had one negative it'd be that I'd love to take my children here after school, but along with the other cafes and garden centres etc, it seems to close at 4 :0("

"Separate vegan menu with tonnes of options, always have freshly baked cakes that are vegan too. Star of the show is the vegan french toast always a winner! Staff are nice and friendly and the coffee is really good with a decent range of plant based milks."

"Called in for a lunch and coffee with my dog. The staff were really welcoming and happy to see my dog. I ordered food and a drink which was a good price and very enjoyable. The lady gave my dog a big bowl of water and when I asked if I could have a small piece of ham to wrap around his medication, she brought some ham and sausage. The lady had a chat with me about her dogs and was really friendly. I would recommend this place especially if you have your dog."

"Both staff and clients were very friendly and helpful. The actual building blew me away, art, music, friendly faces and good food all under the same roof. I visited the Tabernacle for breakfast and ordered the breakfast sandwich, which I thoroughly enjoyed. So much so that I tracked the chef down and heaped praises on him. You must try it it has perfectly ripe avocoda and perfectly cooked poached eggs, and lots more. Felt like a lunch dish rather than a breakfast set me up for the whole day. The food is just one small part of the Tabernacle there's loads to do from yoga to gardening and you can even get free legal advice. Get yourself down there! I highly recommend it."

"We stayed here for the night whilst travelling for a Marathon. Danielle was so accommodating and welcoming and everything was absolutely perfect. We’d never stayed at a BnB quite like this before! the rooms were more than perfect, clean and comfortable it was like home away from home for the night. The breakfast in the morning was amazing! My toddler loved every second and hasn’t stopped asking to go back ! I’ve already recommended to all our family and we will definitely be coming back here again for a trip. If I could give more than 5 stars I would"

"Afternoon tea is probably one of the finer things in life, and something so delicate is great in the sense that it allows for a full range of flavours to be explored. However, it is also easy to screw up: flavour combinations might not work...and so much of it relies on the produce and presentation. I’m pleased to say that Ahh Toots isn’t just the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had, but one of the best meals I’ve had in Bristol. A brief mention for the shop itself: a small, dark yet utterly charming space, quirkily decorated with oddities and beautiful flowers. It doesn’t try to be the Ritz and has a character all of its own. The food itself was sublime. The sandwiches were a cheese and chutney, a cream cheese and lemon marinated cucumber and a rosemary infused egg mayonnaise. These were perfect examples of delicate food done so, so well. Dare I say they were probably the highlight of the meal, not detracting from the cakes, rather to the immense credit of the sandwiches themselves. The quality of the ingredients was incredible and the rosemary egg mayonnaise was inspired. My partner, an egg mayonnaise devotee, left with her eyes opened. The cakes were beautifully ornate. They weren’t flavours I’d traditionally go for gin, Guinness among others but being able to taste every layer was pretty special. You can tell that for the bakers here, cake is an art form. The centrepiece of any afternoon tea the scones, of course were gorgeous with a generous serving of cream and jam. This isn’t afternoon tea: this is an experience. Is it expensive? It’s all relative, and the occasion of an afternoon tea which demands pomp and circumstance alongside the precision required not to screw it up is perfectly catered for at Ahh Toots. In short, book it now."
