"great place to eat. very friendly and helpful staff. eating was first-class, hot with generous help. we went on Saturday and got a table. a good choice of children's meals we were there with our girls in the age of 3 and 5 years. the background music was just that you could hear it (good selection of tracks also! but it was not intrusive. would definitely recommend this place."

"Unfortunately, my experience at the Slug and Lettuce was disappointing. The service was virtually nonexistent, and the quality of the food was very subpar. Our meals took a long time to be served, and we had to request both glasses and cutlery. Overall, it was quite appalling. Since we had to pay the full amount, including the service charge, before any food was delivered, there seems to be little motivation for the staff to uphold even basic standards. I would recommend opting for a fast food restaurant where you don't have expectations for service—it would be a better choice! This experience felt like a rip-off."

"We had a reservation for 7 PM, but upon our arrival, we were informed that we needed to leave by 8 PM because we had children under 18 with us. This restriction was not communicated to us when we made the reservation. We settled in and thought we could make it work, but when we tried to use the online ordering system, we discovered that the steak was unavailable, and we couldn’t remove it from our order. As we attempted to correct this, the clock was ticking, and by 7:15 PM, we realized we wouldn’t have enough time to enjoy our evening. This led us to leave and try to find another place to eat, which proved to be quite difficult given the current circumstances. In the future, they should clearly communicate any time restrictions for families with children when booking online. I will not be making another reservation here."

"The restaurant was nice and clean inside, but the music was too loud for conversation. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the food was average for the price, and the dessert was disappointing. It consisted of two small bowls with watery cream, a very small piece of millionaire shortbread with drizzled chocolate sauce on top. It was not worth the money as the portions were tiny. It's a shame because the dessert menu looked beautiful, but turned out to be overly expensive."

"the quality of eating was a little average, on some wise we had luck getting any as so much we were told was not on camp, including the wein? I would not recommend this place for the quality of eating, we booked it when we were a big party, and not many places could accommodate us. the staff were friendly and helpful, but they are placed in a difficult situation, always have to say that this is not on camp. that was the one that was ordered after several."

"I made a reservation for two people on Tuesday, October 13th, at 12 o'clock. When we arrived, the doors were locked, and we knocked but ended up waiting in the rain for 10 minutes. Eventually, we went to a nearby restaurant, Quinto. After leaving my review, I was informed that they would contact me via email, but I never received any communication. Due to this experience, I will never return, and I will be sharing this with my family and friends so they can avoid it as well."

"My flight got in late so I was desperate for an open kitchen on a Wednesday night at 9:50. Found my way to Slug Lettuce and was so thankful that they were happy to make me wings and chips 10 minutes prior to closing. The staff behind the bar was welcoming and helpful to a visiting American just trying to eat. Not to mention…the food was great as well! Thank you so much."

"the drinks were very tasty and served quickly. the staff was very friendly and speechful and made a positive change. we ordered the pasta and it came back in the middle uncooked/red, but they were very apologetic and got us 2 cocktail mixes free while it was replaced! very satisfied with the customer service! but must say when the pasta came back, even boiled, it was not very good. would advise to avoid this dish, anything else we ordered, but was quite good! and check her portion at price ratio on her clobig chips"

Easy to order through the app, but the wait time seemed to vary, especially when it came to ordering drinks, we only had soft drinks, so I was unsure why. "When arriving there is nowhere to say you need to go upstairs for your booking. There were no staff to be seen we just chanced it going upstairs after standing waiting to find someone for 10 minutes. We then waited over an hour for food yet everyone who came in after us we’re served within 20 minutes and even left.. When we asked about where the food was we were asked what we ordered so we said a platter about and 10 minutes later we were bought the wrong one. When I explained this they asked if I had a receipt which I didn’t just the notification on my Apple Pay as they didn’t give me one. I was asked to go to the bar to explain the situation to the person I ordered with who printed the receipt to prove I’d ordered. I had to explain the situation about 5 times to another staff member then the chef and finally the manager. No one actually offered a solution I was just told the kitchen never received the order so I asked can we have the right thing so they said yes yet nothing else was to be offered by them so I said we’ve waited over an hour we’re starving, going to be late is there nothing else you can do they agreed to a drink each but it was awkward to even have had to asked."

"Great prices and a great selection, the kids really enjoyed themselves, the cocktails were amazing so the adults were happy too!!! Highly recommend. Staff were really friendly and kept coming around to clean plates away and check if we needed anything. It was a lovely vibe, sometimes town centre bars can be abit of a no go for famillies but i would definatel say to give it a try!"

"in a beautiful location in the center of harrogate. we visited this bar/rest many times. there is a good choice on the menu and eating was always very good. it is not easy for the personal in these difficult times due to the kovid, but they were all brilliant and made our visit pleasant and we felt perfectly safe. special mention to dean who took care of us. worth a visit."

"My friend and I met at Canary Wharf for our first get together for months and we wandered into the Slug Lettuce to ask if they could do us a snack and a drink and they couldn't have been more helpful, especially when we asked if we could move away from an open door as it had gone rather chilly! Shannon looked after us very well with some helpful suggestions and our food and drinks arrived quite promptly. We sat and chatted and felt very comfortable there. Nice and clean, plenty of space between the tables and the background music was nice and low so we could hear ourselves speak."
