"Ordered through UberEats. We got two burgers, two sexy fries and a mac and cheese. The burger bun was dry, the sexy fries were absolutely nothing like the photos and at a whopping £5 each, I would have expected something half presentable. The Mac and cheese was an absolute joke. We got the side but there were barely two spoons of Mac and cheese in a tub which was 10% full. See pictures. You can see the shadow on the outside of the tub which indicates how full the Mac and cheese tub was.We tried to call the restaurant to complain but no answer and auto response from ubereats telling us feedback will be passed on.I’ll never order again from here."

"This is bar far the best bar and restaurant in the West of Scotland. My girlfriend tried haggis for the first time via the Iron Bru Haggis Pakora and it was phenomenal. We both took away with us 4 different cocktails which came in these really fancy pouches with top notch edible decorative’s, basically the best cocktails we’ve had BS. If you’re in the area this place is a must. Get it done."

"Located at the tip of Findhorn, this cafe is a fantastic spot with a great selection of food and drinks. It is also dog friendly, making it a perfect place for pet owners. After dining, take a walk down to the shore for a lovely experience. The parking situation can be a bit tricky as the track to the car park next to the restaurant is a bit rough, but there is another car park on the right just before it, next to the motorhome site. The service is top-notch, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is also excellent, earning another 5 out of 5 rating. The price per person for a meal is around £20-30. Some recommended dishes include the Fish Finger Sandwich. Overall, this cafe comes highly recommended for a delicious meal. Free parking is available in the parking lot."

"I have dined with family on a number of occasions at Castle Kitchen but this time around it wasn’t the best. Myself and 3 other family members went out to celebrate an early birthday by having dinner together. The ambiance and decor in the restaurant...is superb and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I cannot fault them at all! Myself and one other family member ordered the Cod dish for our main. My cod had five pieces of bone inside of it whilst my fellow family members dish had none. I have left the picture below. The rest of the meals for the table where fabulous. I addressed the bone issue with the waiter and he immediately apologised and took it straight to the chefs for them to see. Again, I cannot fault the service. The waiter was more than generous and took my cod dish off the final bill. Afterwards, all four of us shared dessert, we ordered the Cherry and Tonka bean cheesecake. The presentation was good but the taste was extremely overpowering with the cherry sauce on top. In addition, the actual selection of desserts on the menu wasn’t good either. I personally found the meal a little pricey for the standard of food received. All in all I would be careful of what you order at Castle Kitchen!"

"How fitting, then, that my blogging calendar has me writing about something I truly love today (I love many things, but today's topic is definitely one of them! . I love brunch. The options, the chat, the cocktails, the coffee. There's something so delicious and inviting about spending time over a meal with friends, family, loved ones, and a long brunch is a charming way to catch up and check in."

"Expectations were blown away by the food at Bodega Leith! The Korean wings? Delicious and you must order them! Make sure you sprinkle the lime as that brings out the flavor even more. We loved every taco we had minus the pork belly, which was just okay. The tempura and the Baja fish were standouts, and even the buffalo sesame was a fun surprise. We also ordered a side of corn, and that was equally delicious. The chips are gluten free, and their taste was unexpected given how refreshing the tacos were. The final thing you have to make sure to order is the churros. If you are a fan of churros, they really knock this out of the park. They are made fresh to order, and served in a piping hot bowl that warms the soul. Definitely worth a trip if you’re in Edinburgh."

"Brought family from overseas here for their first ever Sunday roast, before dropping them on a bus to the airport. The place is handily located right in the town centre but feels a lot nicer than many places nearby, much less chainy/plasticky with a proper pub vibe. Had a very cosy booth table, drinks were nicely served and the food was great tried roast beef/pork/chicken and all were excellent, not the most generous but perfectly sized for us (with the addition of the extra pigs in blankets, a great idea). Maybe a few more peas would have been good, but there were no real complaints. One of us had a burger and enjoyed it too. Excellent pub, we all had a great time and I'm sure I'll drop in more often in future."

Always really tasty and warm and always ready at time specified. Great combination with sister company le petit cafe too. Long overdue review sorry!"

"my partner and I visited this place two months ago and we have since become regular. the reason is simple: great eating with fresh ingredients, lively and colorful environment, beautiful atmosphere and particularly fantastic staff. I was myself restaurant manager, so I am addicted with the service and I think her service is excellent. as soon as they get in, the greeting they receive from the Irish managerin, wow, as well as the service they receive from any other member of the staff, all phenomenal (especially mentioning a girl with copper hair and blue eyes, which is lovable and which serves us last night). what do you want me to say?"

"Disappointing. The dishes we ordered arrived in a few minutes. I did wonder if the ‘traditional steak and ale’ pie had been filled with tinned stewed steak, it had a wafer thin layer of puff pastry on top. The chips were ok but there was not many and there wasn’t a lot of the frozen mixed veg either. My friends haddock and chips was ok. Pavlova turned out to be two small ready made meringues accompanied by cream and a few berries with a squirt of raspberry sauce. Ok but we hoped for the genuine article! And I could be wrong but I think the prices on their website are out of date."

"We visited here last night with our family and friends. Everything was just perfect! The owner went out of his way to help us from the booking stage to getting a taxi home! The menu was perfect. A great selection that suited all of us. We had a mixture of starters and then burgers/steaks for mains and we all loved everything we ate. The food was well presented and were good portion sizes. The staff were so friendly and the restaurant was clean with a modern decor. We would definitely recommend and are delighted to have found a restaurant in Edinburgh that we will become regulars in. Thank You!"

"Awful meal tonight at The Acorn. Starter came out in five minutes, so when forty five minutes later there was no sign of the main meal, it was clear that something was up, so a member of staff had to be approached. When it did eventually appear, the steak ordered as a medium rare was very much on the side of rare (oozing with blood), and the 'sizzling ' aspect of the course seemed to have given the chef the impression that he didn 't need to cook the mushrooms and tomatoes, so therefore the hot plate would do the work for them. Onion rings were limp, lifeless, and had clearly seen the fryer for only the briefest periods. Onions themselves were charcoal. Chicken stack wasn 't much better, with the meat overcooked and the 'crispy buttermilk ' coating taking its name to the most extreme level and falling off upon touch. Chips were fine. I paid for the meal, I don 't believe in not doing so, as wages need to be paid and costs have to be managed. It would though have been nice to have the opportunity to share my opinion with a member of staff. Pub or not, a brief visit from one of the team during the meal is always a nice touch. Upon paying, the staff member behind the bar seemed more preoccupied with discussing cocktails with her visiting friend than 1) asking if my meal was nice, 2) giving me eye contact, and 3) engaging in even the most cursory element of customer service. Not great."

"When I visited this restaurant for the first time, I was impressed with the taste and the affordability. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my view. Firstly, I went there with the idea of eating again the delicious tuna and soul sandwich I had...the first time I went there but I was told this was no longer available due to their menu changing every 6 months. I was extremely disappointed and tempted to walk out, but I decided to try something else, a simple ham and cheese toast priced at £7. Nothing different from the £3 ham and cheese toast you get somewhere else. The most shocking part was the fact they sell a glass of coke for £3!!! Really??? A 330ml can costs approximately 26p to a restaurant and I get they need to make a profit, but £1.5 would be more than enough for a coke. Considering this, I opted out for some water and did not order chips (you could have potentially earned more by having honest prices). My partner ordered the coke and said it taste awful as it was purely coloured water. The only positive note was the staff, friendly and welcoming as the first time. Will I go back? Not for sure!"

"This restaurant is amazing. I have ordered from Deliveroo a few times and I would definitely recommend trying the marinated buttermilk buffalo chicken burger - it is bursting with flavor! The rosemary chips are also delicious. I always check out the daily specials to make sure I don't miss anything."

"I want to write this review because I am a regular customer of WFM in Richmond and the last visit was very remarkable because me and my partner are trying to avoing single use plastic where possible and when we asked at the lady at the meat/fish counter (Yanola if I remember well, sorry for any spelling mistake) if they could accept customers container to put food inside. She was so kind that all my fears of annoying her have been blown away with her amazing customer service! She explained us kindly that when the pandemic emergency will be over they will be able to accept customers containers again. I generally like the customer service at WFM and now I have the chance to say a big thank to the team members! Even the ladies in the beauty shop area are always suoer kind and helpful! Thank you"

"determined to try after that many good reviews and we were not disappointed. the staff was beautiful and very friendly and apologised for the time we had to wait when it was very busy. we certainly did not notice when we hate to be hastened when we go for a meal and it was obvious that everything was freshly cooked. my partner and I had both to start the homemade laekkartoffel soup that came with warm brot then my other half had the piri piri piri huhn kebab and I had the rib eye steak that was amazing. also the offer of drinks was good. we didn't have space for dessert, although next time I have to try the starter to try the sticky toffee pudding! we will definitely come back."

"The food was good, the staff were just a bit average and took some of the enjoyment out of the evening... Overall fine but unfortunately would not go back.... Staff: Some were helpful but mainly they were just inattentive and not a great...manner.... My main gripe was that our server passed us many many times with his hands empty and did not assist with clearing up our plates post the mains and a small spillage left by the kids. Part of the experience of dining is someone else clears up. We were left with mess on the table (water spillage), had to clear it and also stack the plates ourselves, and to wait approx mins for him to take the plates and then finally suggest some desert options. We also cleared up our desert plates. Whilst the staff just kept passing us with empty hands seemingly oblivious. We felt anyone of them could easily have got to work on the table and sorted it in less than seconds, thereby helping us enjoy some post food chat. instead just got frustrated and hence tarnished visit and so would not return. Manner was fine, nothing terrible, just seemed like they needed some top up training. Food was good satisfactory for the price. Liked the Eton Mess not too creamy and with good amounts of fruit."

"We stopped by for lunch on a weekday with our dog and felt comfortable right away. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the pint was great. The service was outstanding, as they even helped me when I lost my purse. We can't wait to dine here again the next time we're in Croyde."

"we visited here twice in a week, so this is a good sign. Eat is nice, obviously freshly cooked and the portion sizes are decent. the waffels are fluffy and light, made perfect. the huh is quite decent and the Mac cheese is super delicious (I tried the classic and the loaded both recommend). there is an extensive beverage menu that is all reasonable prices. I don't like her drinking either. the staff was friendly and attentive, there were no problems. 4 stars because I saw a waitress dropping a knife on the floor, and then it back into the drawer. visit in January 2020: eating is still decent, since my first review and the Mac cheese is still quite good. on a lively Saturday night the fries were soggy and under, but the rest of our meal was good. the chicken pliers are always a good option. the service was relatiw slow for a Saturday night, but not so much that it distracts from the overall experience. £164 for 5 of us have a few options from the menu plus 2 3 cocktails / pints not bad!"
