"We arrived having booked a table for 6 people on a Friday at 8pm and although the bar area was busy, the restaurant was virtually empty and we needn't had booked. The dining area is extremely dark and we could barely read the sparce menu (the menu I'd viewed online had much more on it) We ordered some drinks which took a fair while to arrive, but came with an apology about the wait. For starters we shared some small plates, which were fantastic. I would highly recommend the scotch egg. Unfortunately this was the highlight of the meal. After hearing some commotion in the kitchen our main course arrived and whilst my fish and chips was delicious, the rest of my party ordered burgers which arrived over cooked and hard,disguised in a moist brioche bun. That being said, as soon as this was pointed out, the waiter apologised profusely and immediately took them off of our bill. The waiter was absolutely amazing and really made our experience there. I would return but only for drinks and perhaps a scotch egg or two."

"We had a very mixed experience here, the welcome was good and we were sat at our reserved table promptly however we were not given any menus or any offer of a drink. After collecting our drinks and menus we then ordered the meals, My smoked haddock dish was ok if a bit expensive but the burgers were awful and very overpriced, the staff were willing at times and unresponsive at other times,all in all this was a very average and expensive experience."

"A good range of tasty American meals. The fish tacos are very nice and the portion is generous. The burgers are quite good. The hot dogs are nice. The service is very good. The staff are friendly and attentive. The lunch menu is priced very competitively and we would recommend it. There’s a nice ambience in the restaurant and it’s warm and welcoming. The restaurant is also very clean. We would definitely visit again."

"We live locally and decided to try Papa Johns for a change. I ordered an extra large All The Meats because the website says customers voted it their number 1 pizza. It was the worse pizza we have ever had the displeasure to be served....It arrived luke warm bordering on room temperature. The toppings were spread so thin it looked like a medium pizza inside an extra large base. The toppings stopped well inside the margin of the crust leaving an inch of bare dough around the outside. The amount of toppings was not half that shown in the picture on their website. The flavour of the toppings was rank. It all tasted the same. Imagine a disgusting halal pizza from a back street in Islamabad where random unknown meat is shaped and coloured to resemble sausage or pepperoni. The website says chunks of ham and crispy bacon but I didn't find one piece. We have no idea what they are using for cheese. It wasn't mozzarella. It was complete garbage. The whole family sat groaning after eating only a couple of slices of this garbage. It made us all feel sick. I wanted to vomit to get it out of my system. The next day we were all still complaining about the horrendous pizza. Papa Johns have a quality guarantee if you don't like your pizza they will send you another for free. WTF I don't want ever to see another of their pizzas! Papa Johns is really up to no good, there must be some shady practices going on in their shops to produce such rank pizza."

"Absolutely appalling ordered from their website it took well over a hour, came without pizza, didn’t get sent a receipt till after I rang to complain and asking how one kebab could of costed £17 on its own they then went to say of you don’t order above £15 you get charged extra! So the delivery costed me over £6 I’ve never been so Disgusted in a service my whole adult life! They told me they could make a pizza if I can into the shop! If I could come to the shop I wouldn’t of made a order to be delivered, due to me not believing the recipe they gave me after the phone call I then went to add the kebab again and went to the check out and it still didn’t equal up to the amount I got charged, never again! I’d give it a -5 stars if I could."

"We came for the wing night as a group of six friends. All ordered along with drinks and explained we were all together. it was advertised as a all you can eat night The first three came in around ten minutes. the next three lots took another twenty minutes. They came but had no Dip with them that was adverstised. We asked for the next lot but we're then told that we had not paid enough money. I asked if the wings would come out quicker to be told there is only one person working in the kitchen despite it being a special night. Not impressed poor service"

"I am a solo traveller and usually find that restaurants are not overly keen to take your booking as you are clearly taking up a table for two so they are loosing money. I arrived at Vesta without a booking and was immediately welcomed by Declan and given a great table by the bar. Between him, Anu and Sophie, I was given superb service for the rest of the evening. I had a good bottle of Malbec and a rib eye steak which was perfect followed by a beautiful selection of cheeses. I was actually sad to leave Vesta and would highly recommend it. I think the work they do for Social Bite is fantastic and an admirable contribution to homelessness in Edinburgh. Well done guys."

"The restaurant should definitely implement separate queues for those with reservations and those without. When we arrived with a booking, it seemed like the staff were unsure of how to handle us. They were busy, which I understand, but we ended up sitting for 20 minutes without a menu. When we finally did get one, it was the wrong one. I tried to order a pizza, only to be informed that they don’t serve pizza in the evening. On the bright side, the burger we ordered as a side was good, and it was great to enjoy a meal out."

"Been there a few times, latest being Feb 12th 2022. The Menu has changed from last time I went there, which was a few years ago. No Roast Duck on the menu . The Menu is 100% Halal The service was very attentive, friendly, and professional. The restaurant was fully booked out when we went there, so they gave us sitting downstairs. It was pretty cold down there, but quickly warmed up after they put the AC up! We ordered both types Wings and Burgers for starters, the Honey glazed wings were delicious, and super tasty, unfortunately the Buffalo wings was too tangy and salty. Would not recommend. The Burgers were really nice, meat was so juicy and succelent, I may have to go back for those burgers alone. For Mains, we had Lamb Randang, Lamb Ribs and Pad Thai. The Randang was disappointing, I've had this dish before elsewhere and always enjoyed it, however, here it was more like a Indian Curry, also too salty. The Ribs were awesome, very large, meaty and very well marinated. Loved it. Pad Thai was of good quality, you can never really go wrong with a decent Pad Thai. The egg fried rice as side was standard, nothing special. Overall it was a good evening at the restaurant. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a try. Even if you live far, would recommend a drive to it. Definitely worth it."

"Was so looking forward to meeting up with my family and having a meal for the first time in a while. Walked into the restaurant and was straight away told that they are NOT serving alcohol and I should have been told on the phone...when I booked (which i wasnt, otherwise I wouldnt have booked here). Hey ho! Do my liver a break!! The meal was ok, but was not expecting the price of the bill to be '173 for 6 of us (2 of those were children) and also that was with NO alcohol on the bill, I really thought it was a joke but NOPE.... I nearly fell over... it definitely definitely definitely wasnt worth that amount of money!!! SHOCKED!!.I then asked did we not get a discount as of part of the eat out discount scheme as it was a monday evening but NOPE they havent signed up to it (maybe my fault for not asking) but you would of thought they would have mentioned it knowing we hadn't been told about the NO alcohol situation, I know it's not alot of but it would have helped lol. Wont be recommend to anyone!!!! Unless they dont mind remortgaging there house to pay the bill .Lol. Definitely wont be going back any time soon!!!! SO WISH WE WALKED AWAY WHEN THEY SAID NO ALCOHOL (might not have even remembered the price if I'd had a drink lol "

"This is a lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Although I did not have any food, it appeared to be quite busy. The garden area was a bit dark, but overall it felt like a good local spot. "Omg!!! Wanted to visit here for a while now......firstly the staff... nothing is too much trouble. It was my partners birthday, and I asked for a few extras, and it was sorted... the service is of very high standard, friendly, professional, and helpful. The restaurant is reeeeally nice!! It looks and feels like a steak house. The food... if you want the best steak in Cornwall.... you have to come here! Some say it's top pricey, but the cost is reflected in the quality of this place. Really tasty, good-sized steaks, chips. It's honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had!!! Lots of nearby parking, only a mins walk. "I and my engaged were greeted by a very friendly employee who asked where we would like to sit instead of just adding somewhere I thought to be a nice note. we were told by the specials and advised about drinks etc. the menu has exactly the right choice, not too overwhelming, and the prices are appropriate for the inner city kitchen. we ordered a special ronaldo and a C-Rex burger to share between us, with sweet kartoffel friries and regular fries. they can have the rindburgers cooked to their taste, although they recommend medium, that is great! eating was incredible, probably the best burgers we have ever eaten; all the aromes worked together and the portion sizes are great for the price. the only thing I would say is that the burgers can get messy, so that the provision of wet wipes would be useful, as serviettes do not sometimes do justice. also the regular fries were very cut, would be nice to see them thicker and perhaps with the skin on. service during the meal was perfect and although we have dessert, their lists of puddings looked incredible, so will definitely save space at the next visit, which hopefully will be very soon!"

"The pub is actually quite nice, little on the pricey side, food is overall decent but no price on the kids meal and had to ask before ordering. Pub was very busy and raining when we went. Father in law is disabled and couldn't sit the family together due to him being unable to sit on a high stool. Luckily a nice couple let him and our son sit with them. Food was of decent quality and we ate. Sadly in a pub with at least 15 dogs in and busy, we were sat by the toilet door and every time the door was opened our dogs barked. After we had finished the barman shouted over to us that they were a dog friendly pub but if the dogs kept barking we would be asked to leave. It was a difficult situation due to how busy it was due to raining and proximity to the toilet door and dogs constantly walking past (also barking). The barman didn't have the decency to come over and have a conversation and we were stopping the dogs when they did bark. Luckily we had finished our food and promptly left the pub. Ironically later in the afternoon we went to a different pub The White Hart and no such issues."
