"On an overnight stay in Nottingham my son and I ventured out to find somewhere different to eat and discovered the Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Firstly, I have to say, the food, the staff and the location are all five star. We ordered from the App, just to try it, and soon we were brought our burgers and some 'skinny fries '. The burgers were excellent, our initial reservations about the high price for a burger were soon quashed. The flavours popped in your mouth and we were surprised as to just how good eating a burger could be! I had a vegan jack fruit burger and my son a chicken one...both with lots of tasty pickles and sauces. We both had the very best thick banana milk shake with them. We probably wouldn 't order the skinny fries again however, as they were the tiniest fries.. literally like matchsticks, and although very cute and a novelty, didn 't really add anything to the meal. Now, I was going to knock off half a star for two reasons..the price is high..and for such prices and a great menu I felt the typical fast food type interior could have been a little more plush...but to be honest it didn 't bother me enough to do so. For a special occasion, or for a special treat, I 'd highly recommend a visit there."

"We were able to enjoy the new dining area upstairs which was a fantastic atmosphere. We ate buffalo chicken wings, the Argentinan steak loaded fries, the original chicken loaded fries, frickles, a gooey brownie and we brought some sausages home for the dogs (completely dog-friendly ingredients . All of the food was SUPERB and the service was great. The beer and drink selection is awesome and we would definitely partake in latenight drinks and nibbles here (open till midnight!! and whilst we didn't have the dogs with us this time, it's DOG FRIENDLY!! These guys have done such an amazing job with this restaurant and just keep going from strength to strength. Definitely check them out when in Aberdeen."

"Let me start by saying the Grey Horse is a great pub in Kingston, we have been going for years. My Wife and I popped in to get some of the excellent food they serve and sat in the SMOK'D restaurant at the back. Being slightly addicted to Buffalo Wings we ordered 9 wings each and little piggy fries. The fries with little pork belly bits were as always amazing. The service was great and the produce was clearly very good. But alas when the wings arrived they were 9 whole wings!. Just to clarify in true USA BBQ style I was expecting jointed wings i.e wings and drumettes jointed into individual pieces. I not complaining about volume as I received what I considered 18 wings (i.e 9 wings and 9 drumettes). But the unjointed wings do make good eating. Being whole they overlap so you don't get that lovely crispy gnarly outer and you are left instead with your bog standard British Chicken wing with a slightly flabby outer skin that you cant pick up!! Such a shame as the wings used to be excellent and really the only wings this side of the Atlantic that I enjoyed. I would always recommend them to other Buffalo wing addicts but now I really couldn't. The 3 stars reflected that everything else about the Grey horse and SMOK'D was great, and I hope that the wings are restored to their former glory."

"Entering the stablishment was fine got told to sit anywhere.. after sitting for over 20 minutes in an empty restaurant, I personally had to approach the staff member to come and take my order… drinks came swiftly food not far afterwards.. the quality of food burger was just below average…. Ordered the bbq wings which are battered!. The battered wings where not fully cooked/ barely cooked then lathered (bbq sauce) and served waited awhile as we didn’t get any cutlery or napkins seeing as it was a burger… personally has to go and receive a hand fully of napkin’s from I’m assuming another member of staff…not once did anyone come and check until I acknowledged of other work suttlely that no body had one and ask how the meal went.. gave the server the food and she had left one culprit wings behind… the view to the kitchen was clear leaving the door open.. I seen sous chef and other chef brush off the stituation!. So I carried over the remaining wing still tact For them to examine… Borge the sous chef also supporting chef both of thier mouths dropped and walked away with their heads face sing down… I was greeted with either a manager/assistant or supervisor she didn’t announce who she was.. I got told the wings have been compt what more do you want…. I wish I expressed a perfectly cooked patty.. abhtger byn to fit the over cooked patty… oh yeah not to be served raw batter for the bqq wings!. "I and my engaged were greeted by a very friendly employee who asked where we would like to sit instead of just adding somewhere I thought to be a nice note. we were told by the specials and advised about drinks etc. the menu has exactly the right choice, not too overwhelming, and the prices are appropriate for the inner city kitchen. we ordered a special ronaldo and a C-Rex burger to share between us, with sweet kartoffel friries and regular fries. they can have the rindburgers cooked to their taste, although they recommend medium, that is great! eating was incredible, probably the best burgers we have ever eaten; all the aromes worked together and the portion sizes are great for the price. the only thing I would say is that the burgers can get messy, so that the provision of wet wipes would be useful, as serviettes do not sometimes do justice. also the regular fries were very cut, would be nice to see them thicker and perhaps with the skin on. service during the meal was perfect and although we have dessert, their lists of puddings looked incredible, so will definitely save space at the next visit, which hopefully will be very soon!"

"Ever heard of don't judge a book by its cover? It fits this little place perfectly! Doesn't look like much from outside, and the decor is... odd. And dated. However, the food is UNREAL. I ate here recently for handing ess and honestly, it's going to be my regular for belfast now. Superb food. The staff are hilarious and great craic true belfast people! "go here all the time! lol jeans is absolutely delicious. really good burger, but the first time I decided to make the famous Steak plate. everything I had eaten and then from here was delicious. the cocktails are beautiful, only very expensive and no 241 offers otherwise I would drink here all the time. the personal is also great. I can just say I have blinds and the prawn loaded fries and both are absolutely amazing! prawn is deffo better, but I will always update my fries here. the chips cut to house are phenomenal ash. on the photos is the asain or Korean chicken burger, which I cannot remember the names of the apology. Steak plates and these cocktails were beautiful."

"Myself, husband and son were in Windsor for the day as part of my son's 18th Birthday celebrations. Where we went for lunch was his pick and he really fancied a burger so Gourmet Burger Kitchen seemed an obvious choice. I have to say I'm not the biggest burger fan so the thought of a burger restaurant didn't thrill me. Firstly we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who quickly sat us down. The menu choice was impressive and despite initial reservations I found several items that sounded tempting. I decided to opt for the Chargrilled Chicken Satay Burger and went for the bunless option. My son had The Mighty with fries and onion rings and the husband had The Major Tom with the addition of avocado and bacon. Drinks wise we had an Oreo milkshake, Ginger Beer and a makeshift Mocha as it is not something on their menu but our helpful server was very quick to oblige and create a Mocha for us. For someone who was decidedly underwhelmed at the thought of a burger restaurant it was the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. My bunless burger was served with Homeslaw and corn in place of a bun, a very nice substitute. As for my husband and son ...well firstly my son was beaten by his massive burger which is a first big my husband polished off his. In conclusion great food made even better by the fabulous staff. Thank you we will be back next time we visit."

"After not visiting this fried chicken restaurant for a few years due to lockdowns and the pandemic, we decided to book a table as a birthday treat. We made sure to book in advance to secure a table for the time we needed. The restaurant had all the standard COVID prevention measures in place, such as masks, dividers, hand sanitizer, and social distancing, which made us feel more comfortable. The service was good, with drinks being taken promptly and we never felt rushed throughout the evening. Our order included a Korean BBQ burger, Nashville Hot wings, 9 chicken tenders, a buffalo chicken burger, assorted fries and sides. The meal was tasty, with my fried burger not tasting greasy. The cocktails were decent, although the Chicken Rum lacked the flavor I remembered. We ended the evening with Churros and chocolate sauce, which hit the spot. Overall, it was a good experience, possibly helped by our excitement at getting out of the house for the evening."

As such it’s still very smart and shiny inside, with lots of glass and nice-looking wood poshing' up the interior enough to signify that this is NOT a fast food restaurant. No bright plastics used here! (I must confess to a nasty habit of forgetfully calling it ‘Gourmet Burger King’!)GBK specialises in top quality burgers and what a choice! There are about ten different choices of beef burger, four chicken, five vegetarian and five extra-special specials (buffalo or wild boar burger anyone? Everything is extremely tasty, but having worked my way through a fair bit of the menu I have settled on the rather “old school” favourite of the cheeseburger! Burgers are all under a tenner, but you do have to get fries and sides separately. An average meal with wine would be but you can reduce that enormously by laying your hands on a for voucher (available on the internet at the moment).Would definitely recommend GBK for a quick bite at the start of your evening, as the quality of burger will not be found elsewhere in York. However, it’s not a great venue for a leisurely meal with friends, as they don’t seem to expect you to want to take your time over things. "From arrival lovely customer service, polite with smiles all around, staff were very welcoming and friendly.. Whilst seating Antonio’s has approached in a polite manner asking what drinks we would like and when unsure has asked what our favoured drinks were to help recommend with a brilliant knowledge of cocktails taking dislikes into account. The only thing letting this down from being 5 star was issues around cleanliness. On initial appearance looks clean, As you walk into the bar from the hotel lifts, you can see the material shredded and draping from under the seats, also down the side of the seat cushions left over food snacks, cocktail sticks protruding sticking out, could do with a clean between cushion areas. Also during breakfast staff blowing their nose in public then placing the tissue on the used plates awaiting to be taken out and then continuing to serve customers and laying tables."

"We had visited this restaurant before and found it mediocre at the time, so decided to give it another go. Never again, the food was absolutely atrocious. I don’t eat red meat so the only alternative was a chicken dish. I decided not to invest in a burger as I was sure about the flours or quality. I decided on a relatively easy option which I mistakenly thought would be done with some expertise. I settled on a Louisiana Chilli chicken which was supposed to have a special spice rub before barbecuing. When it came this was not barbecued, rather it had been broiled in a bottle sauce with soggy rubbery skin that tasted disgusting. I had also ordered a side of fries that never materialised. My daughter and art net had the buy one get one half price burger which came with a side of fries and a drink. They chose milkshake for which they had to pay an extra £3 each and a mac n’ cheese side. The milkshakes were so thick you couldn’t suck them up the straw. My daughter sent hers back so that they could actually add some milk to allow the milkshake to be fluid, the texture was awful as the kinder bueno hadn’t been blended enough. She also didn’t enjoy her burger which had no flavor. The best thing about that meal was the fries which were excellent. We had to send the mac n’ cheese back because it was literally like cardboard with cheese grated on top. They did decide not to charge us for the mac n’ cheese, regardless this was a really bad experience."

"I had the pleasure of attending The King Arms first Vegan night a full vegan menu of 3 starters 3 mains and 3 deserts (see pic) The Chef Ben was very strict on the night not to serve meat dishes but encouraged people to try vegan the food was very yummy, i had Mushroom falafels as a starter (big enough as a main) served with 3 dips and a salad. For the main i had Portobello mushroom with a wild mushroom filling topped with vegan cheese served with a sprouting salad and for the desert Chocolate Brownie with ice cream which was of the brownie scale i can tell ya all for £20. Vegan night is every Thursday and the normal daily menu has vegan options. If you in Cornwall this is a must highly recommended."

However, I have to take a sign at this opportunity, as the service was a little chaotic. it felt like they might have been a couple of employees. we were. on Saturday, so we expected it to be busy. but wait mins to arrive for our drink (it seemed only one person who works tirelessly behind the bar). then, when the food arrived, we had to get someone the attention to bring the kitchen roll and some forks. the table behind us had problems with some of their foods not arrived and were asked if they wanted to take a burger away. it is a shame, really, otherwise this place would be constantly shouting after gabriella (I hope this is right), which seemed to realize that it was a touch-chaotic. would return alone for eating, but Sat service could definitely be improved."
