"Let me start by saying the Grey Horse is a great pub in Kingston, we have been going for years. My Wife and I popped in to get some of the excellent food they serve and sat in the SMOK'D restaurant at the back. Being slightly addicted to Buffalo Wings we ordered 9 wings each and little piggy fries. The fries with little pork belly bits were as always amazing. The service was great and the produce was clearly very good. But alas when the wings arrived they were 9 whole wings!. Just to clarify in true USA BBQ style I was expecting jointed wings i.e wings and drumettes jointed into individual pieces. I not complaining about volume as I received what I considered 18 wings (i.e 9 wings and 9 drumettes). But the unjointed wings do make good eating. Being whole they overlap so you don't get that lovely crispy gnarly outer and you are left instead with your bog standard British Chicken wing with a slightly flabby outer skin that you cant pick up!! Such a shame as the wings used to be excellent and really the only wings this side of the Atlantic that I enjoyed. I would always recommend them to other Buffalo wing addicts but now I really couldn't. The 3 stars reflected that everything else about the Grey horse and SMOK'D was great, and I hope that the wings are restored to their former glory."

What a fantastic place. Really good staff. Took time to talk to the kids about their choices. Have is good guidance on the adult menu. But the main thing is the food, and it was fantastic. I had the beef rib and my wife had the chicken in mustard marinade. Excellent! Good music also.

Always amazing! The food here is consistently delicious. As a BBQ enthusiast who smokes a lot of meat at home, I can confidently say that their meat is always top-notch and thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered 9 buffalo wings and the rib combo, and topped it off with a deep-fried Mars bar. Needless to say, I was stuffed and had to take some food home.

Aside of the excellent staff let’s just concentrate on the exceptional food. To start, the Buffalo Cauliflower stunning. Never have florets of cauliflower been treated so well. The Calamari fried to perfection. As for the main then never have I had a half chicken like that. Perfectly prepared, smoked and tasted delicious. Never thought such a basic menu favourite would deliver like that. Burgers spot on too.

The menu was a bit challenging to navigate, but I eventually settled on the brisket with gravy. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the gravy was rich and delicious. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals as well. The sides, especially the broccoli, were excellent. The loaded fries were a hit with the kids, who loved the variety of flavors. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The desserts were not as impressive as the main courses, but overall it was a great experience. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.

I really wanted to love this restaurant, as I had heard great things about it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The service was terrible, with 20 minute waits for drinks and food even though there were hardly any customers in the restaurant. I ordered a burger, which the staff claimed had won an award, but it was nothing special - just an average burger. The macaroni and cheese was also just okay. The battered Mars bar was interesting, but seemed overpriced at £7. Overall, I left feeling very underwhelmed. If I could give a rating, it would be 2.5 out of 5.

Booked a late afternoon meal here after seeing the pictures of the ribs. My partner loves ribs. The pub wasn 't busy when we arrived and the greeting and politeness off the staff was great. The meal arrived reasonably quickly and was absolutely delicious. My partner even commented these are some of the best ribs I 've ever eaten ! Lots of meat on the bone and really great flavour. I had the belly pork which was equally scrumptious and we also shared the Little Piggy Fries and House Slaw. All were great with the main meal. 5 stars from us. Would definitely revisit. It 's not a high end eatery but the pub was clean and welcoming inside and out. It was a warm day so we sat booked our meal in th...

"Obon: a petit Japanese udon restaurant that supplies a sense of Japan that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of the Uk. (5 stars) Location: Obon is located close to the heart of Kingston but the road it’s on is considerably quieter. You must make sure to have a basic knowledge of Kingston in order to find an area to park and to also make sure you leave yourself enough time, taking the unpredictability of the traffic into acount. Even on a week day there can be traffic jams which can put a halt to your plans and due to the small amount of customers Obon can take its important that you not only book but make sure that you arrive at the agreed booking time. With this being said the staff are all lovely so if you are running late, a quick call is all that is required to just give Obon a chance to understand your position. The food: The array of exquisitely prepared sashimi will be sure to create the sensation that you are in a top Japanese restaurant in japan and the flavour of the fish does not fail to match expectations, which will be very high after just one glance at your meal. The fish is delicately seasoned and practically melts on your tongue, this causes a lovely sensation and is genuinely the finest sushi I have tasted in the uk and even matches a lot of the top restaurants in japan. On top of just the traditional types of sushi, which to many is maki rolls Obon also offers many other delicious options such as soft shell crab and even Unagi don, which I must highly recommend due to it consistently being the highlight of my meal. For those of you that were interested in the quality of the basic Japanese dishes such as miso soup or edamame they do not fail to leave you in grand anticipation for what is to come for they are, simply speaking, incredibly good. The miso, in my opinion, is truly remarkable and creates a lasting feeling of warmth throughout your entire body, on top of that it is far superior to other miso’s that I have tasted in all other areas of the world. Overall the quality of the food is something you would expect from a world famous Michelin star restaurant and if you want Japanese food it’s the only place I can recommend. The Restaurant: The restaurant itself is small but authentic in nature and because it only has a enough tables to host around 20 people at the most, the service is exceptionally good and your food is always out quickly so you will not be left hungry for very long. The staff are kind and friendly. And it’s always an enjoyable experience being waves goodbye as you leave the restaurant. You’re also able to watch as they prepare the food, which for some could be entertaining. There are Japanese photos scattered around the room and this further creates an authentic feel. The atmosphere is not lively but it is a restaurant and not a bar so is an ideal location if you are wanting high quality food. With this being said it is still a great place to go with friends and I consistently am able to have a great time no matter the occasion. Price: Obviously, the price of the food is always an important topic to come to and despite the cost of the sushi being slightly higher than you may expect from a small restaurant in Kingston, I would have to say that for the quality of the food it is ultimately a bargain. For three people, you would be spending around £100 so it isn’t cheap but you can go for cheaper types of food such as udon, which is still amazing quality and won’t set you back as much money. Overall: Obon is still my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Uk and is perfect for a special occasion but it isn’t the sort of place you’d go for a casual night out. The food is beyond incredible and thus they can cater for both children and adults by meeting every bodies needs. For anybody that enjoys sushi, I would urge you to give it a go, you won’t regret it"
