"Terrible. I never really write reviews. I go for a Curry every Friday and have been to many places in London. This place is the worst I i have ever been too. The samosas were dreadful and clearly out a freezer. The lamb vindaloo tasted like someone had got some chillies, scrapped some tomatoo puree of a homemade pizza and shoved some chicken in. The rest of the dishes were equally as bad and i could go on. The prices were a complete rip off . The waiters were extremely unfriendly and their attitude clearly mirrors the standard of the food. There are hundreds of far better places in London where you can get a cheaper meal. Truly Indian is an ananthema to the cuisine of the subcontinent!!"

"Had been looking forward to trying this place as had heard great reviews but unfortunately very disappointed. Ordered chilli garlic Prawns which did not contain peppers as described and the sauce tasted like chilli ketchup. Squid starter was the most disappointing, the batter was coming off the squid resulting in a congealed sauce which was thick anyway.. Shame about texture as sauce was flavoursome. . The butter chicken was lovely but quite spicy which is surprising as this dish is usually mild, unfortunately no indication of spice level on website otherwise would have asked for spice to be reduced. Placed order over the phone but now wished I placed it on website as they didn't apply correct meal deal, when asked I was advised the butter chicken was not classic curry and therefore not included in deal. Only checked when I returned home and this was one of the dish choices on website for the meal deals. This resulted in over charging me which is bit dishonest."

"Not the best experience. No parking to start with. Inconsiderate drivers. Service was overly keen. Kept interrupting our conversation various times asking is everything okay constantly throughout the experience. Manager offered as we walked in some water and poppadoms in a complimentary way. Later to find out he charged us a ridiculous price. Food was very overpriced for the quality. The variety was very limit and the staff didn’t now about the menu when asked questions. The manager was sneaky and added service charge also without asking us or telling. Place is small. Go owl and pussycat if you want good Indian food at a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend unless you into a show room restaurant rather the quality and service. Thumbs down for me over hyped."

"Sadly having to give 1 out of 5 due to the terrible experience with delivery. Food was delivered an hour and a half late. Was basically lied to when enquired by phone, ranging from its out for delivery, it’s left and should be there in 5 minutes, it hasn’t left yet as it’s on the hot plate, it’s leaving in 15 minutes, to the driver was delivering it and had a car accident and had to go to hospital. I sincerely hope the latter was not a lie, it’s a terrible one if it was, but I hope the driver was ok if genuine. Asked for a refund and to cancel the order and told could not get one as no one there to refund me. Food finally arrived. The food was actually really nice, but we were eating it so close to going to bed for the evening due to it’s late arrival, so even though the food was nice we didn’t really enjoy it. Suggest just honest with customers, if there’s a delay, explain why, we will understand. Will not use again based on this experience."

"Worst Takeaway experience I have ever had. I ordered food from this establishment, which turned up half an hour late. I specified to phone my number not buzz the door, as my girlfriend was sleeping, they buzzed the door and woke her, when I got outside, i was told I had to log into my just eat account as there had been an issue with the order, i did so on the drivers ipad, and the driver proceeded ro review the restaurant with full stars on every aspect. After eating the food, I would like to assert it would not get full stars on any aspects, and i found this act of deception quite disturbing. I would like to firstly find out how i can change the review that i never had the opportunity to make, and also query whether this is something JustEat is aware that is happening? I have a strong suspicion most of the tandoori's good review may have been customers who were likewise duped."

"The best place for South Indian tiffin in Birmingham, without a doubt. I have had a few visits and the food quality has been consistent. Interestingly, they serve the longest dosa in Europe, which is called the Chennai Dosa special. You should not miss it. Bit pricey but the food quality justifies it. Recommended!"

"Had dinner delivered from here this evening and the food was fantastic. We went in during the day to check coeliac/gluten free options and Jack went through the menu with us. There was a slight mix up with the order but they went out of their way to put things right and we were so appreciative. "Poor experience start to finish. Both waiters appeared to have no experience at all. On arrival restaurant was quiet with only one other table, waiter was unable to prepare alcoholic drinks, so we had to wait for another waiter, which resulted in a 40 minute wait for drinks. Once food was finally ordered, starters and main course all came at once, leaving no room on the table. The chicken tikka was cold and had to go back to the kitchen to be microwaved and the naan bread was hard. Sadly, the food was not what was expected having read other reviews. The waiters were pleasant, but not once checked that the food was ok or whether we would like more drinks. The ladies bathroom was far from clean with no toilet paper and a dirty sink. The meal was very disappointing and expensive. It was easy to see why the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night."

"Booked for bottomless brunch on Saturday, only to turn up and find the restaurant closed. My friend had travelled from Liverpool and myself from the other side of Manchester, so to say this was disappointing is an understatement! I rang the number and in fairness they answered, but I don’t feel they offered a solid resolution. They claimed they had tried to get in touch but I’d confirmed the table the day before through the Opentable text I received. I had no missed calls, no other texts and no emails from Aamchi. Their reasoning for cancelling was that we were the only booking which is fair enough, but any form of communication would have been appreciated! I believe if they’d have just cancelled through open table it would have notified me so I don’t believe this excuse of trying to get in touch they clearly just forgot. If the booking had been cancelled then we wouldn’t have been as annoyed and would have saved hours (and the cost) of travelling between us! They offered to give us “something special” the next time we come, but considering we travelled out of our way to come for the bottomless brunch, I can’t say I’m willing to make the journey again to risk another disappointment. Shout out to Chit and Chaat where we had a great meal as an alternative!"

"The Ambiance: Totally cute like you’re stepping onto the set of Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited. The Staff: Welcoming and friendly without being overly ‘present’ (eek those places where like five servers are staring at you from the wings…it doesn’t happen here! . The Food: Very tasty! They serve all the usual suspects (curry, jalfrezi, biriyani, et all along with specialties from various regions. My only mild critique is the small size of the naan; for £2.95 it should have been a bit bigger. However, it was super tasty! Would I eat here again? oh yeah! Very delightful food!"

"we have booked a table for 4 for 7.30 clock, came 7.25 and it took 20 minutes to be separated for drinks. it has become worse! we were finally shown on the table of a 20% full restaurant and 25 minutes later the chef waiter had to ask if he could take our order with a posture as if he liked us one. we have been so paid by the dirty, sticky tables and w slow service we told the waiter we left, paid for our drinks and left. We'll never go back!"

"Let's see, walked in and was calm, played music and was served by the waiter who sat on us. Both waiters and managers were kind, they gave us honest opinions about the food, and when they thought something would not fit our range, they told us. The food was fast and the service flew as it should. It is a shame that there were only 3 other tables of 3 and 5. An atmosphere would have created a perfect evening. I say I can't blame food, drink, service or hygiene. The fact that they show a window in the kitchen only builds my confidence that the hygiene standard it in the entire restaurant and not just the front. We will definitely return as I now have one of their loyalty cards and get both offers and points. Maybe we'll bring some more people. On a last note, the manager spoke to us about a Rajesh Khana Tribute Night, would like to go there for this. It seems to be an ongoing monthly event. Can wait until they start."

"My wife and I have already experienced the lovely food fayres of this restaurant. We had visited a few years ago in a six person party. On this occasion we visited with close friends and we were not let down. The refurbished restaurant is lovely and the food surpassed our expectations. Our starters were chosen after a while deliberating and consisted of a prawn kati roll, a chicken tikka, a chicken chaat and an onion bhajia. Four different starters and all so well cooked. Just lovely we all mentioned. Our main choices included a lamb jalfrezi superb , 2 x chicken manchoozi superb and a chicken tikka masala very tasty We opted for onion rice, egg rice, plain naan and a keema naan which again were delicious and fresh and light. The flavours of all of our food were delicious and very well spiced, but definitely not over bearing, juts tasty and right.....if only this restaurant was near to home we would be there every week. It is an absolute must for anyone visiting this area who fancies a very nice Indian meal."
