"Me and my husband went for Lunch. We ordered ‘Baby squid salt and pepper’ which was absolute delicious, ‘Prawn tempura and avocado Sushi Rolls’ as i tried it for the first time I found it nice. For the mains, we had ‘Singapore Noodles’ which tastes good as well. We ordered drink ‘1 Beer’ and ‘1 mocktail’ which we didn’t get on the table even after asking it for thrice. As the restaurant is completely full, the service was not that appropriate. Otherwise, we had a great time."

"Genuinely one of my favourite high end restaurants! AMAZING food…great entertainment and very good atmosphere. Food is not halal but they have vegetarian and fish options available and they do serve mocktail as well as cocktails and alcohol here. Be aware that food arrives as it is cooked so there is no order as to how the food comes out. There is limited parking around the area so please bare that in mind if you plan to drive, otherwise Uber is a good alternative. The interior is so elegantly designed and the staff are welcoming (most of the time), there is a cloak room for your coats and items, just ask a waiter! The speedy wait time on food is definitely a plus! I highly recommend this restaurant, although please be advised it does get much louder in the evening after 10.30 so not very ideal after this point if you want to have serious conversations. Also note they have a reduced menu after 11.30pm. Fridays and Saturdays are very busy so I have noticed the quality of service drops a bit in comparison to the other days and I have encountered unfriendly stuff at the door especially during my last visit hence the rating. I found this upsetting because as I mentioned previously it is one of my favourite food places and appreciate the quality of food served. They have a live band/DJ in the evenings."

"What a beautiful Japanese culinary experience! I started with edamame, spinach sesame, chicken gyoza, Japanese omelette, and inari, all of which were perfect and delicious. The spicy salmon, tuna fish avocado, and shrimp tempura were also excellent. I couldn't pick a favorite because everything was so tasty with fresh seafood. Service was quick and attentive. For my main course, I had chicken katsu with rice and teriyaki chicken donburi. The katsu was perfectly fried and one of my favorites, while the donburi brought me the authentic flavors of Japan. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food and hospitality. I will definitely be visiting again!"

"we had a great evening in their restaurant! we came in without booking, and there were 8 of us at one of the evenings. the spicy margaret was just one of the best cocktails we need to order most. the cocktails taste fabulous! one of my friends has several allergens. it is not good to eat, and most of the food she cannot eat. a blonde lady took our job, and I told her I had several allergens. an Asian lady knows my allergens. she went beyond and beyond to make sure I had something to eat. she almost makes me cry because she cares about my allergens. thanks for a fabulous evening. the Asian dame and all the workers make our evening just as good as her. We will be back for more cocktails. we love this place and you are the best!"

"Food was excellent. Not cheap, though I guess this is central London. Surprised that there was no one else in the restaurant all the time we were there, from 6pm onward on a Saturday night. "During our visit to Edinburgh, we attempted to dine at this restaurant but were deeply disturbed by the behavior of one of the staff members. We didn't have a reservation and tried to walk in, but the waitress gave us an incredulous look as if we shouldn't have even asked without a booking. Being Asian and craving some familiar food after days of steak and hamburgers, we inquired about the wait time. The waitress responded with visible anger and disdain, telling us it would be at least an hour. What shocked us even more was her treatment of a food delivery person who came in to check on an order. She angrily shut the door in their face. We were left speechless by this lack of basic decency. While we understand the pressures of busy hours, treating people with respect should always be a priority."

"I have been a lifelong fan of Japanese cuisine and went most recently went to Tokyo in 2019. Chisou stands above the crowd of all fine dining Japanese restaurants I've been to outside Japan. My mum had been there one time prior and had an...amazing experience, my father and I both went for the first time tonight with her. The menu is a complex and interesting overview of all Japanese cuisine highlights, including a comprehensive menu of Sushi/Sashimi, Noodles (Udon/Soba), Teriyaki/Tempura, and some delightful takes on the traditional izakaya offering. They also offer an extensive sake menu, with some very unique items that complement whatever you choose to order. Beyond their superbly cultivated menu, the service at Chisou can only be described as exceptional. The entire staff truly care if you are having a good time, and are happily there to provide advice on guiding you through your meal. My dad is not a huge fan of raw seafood, and the sushi chef took an interest in challenging his hesitations- he offered us an incredible smoked mackerel as an amuse-bouche to test if my dad would like it, and he did. We ordered a number of starters- the gyoza, fried oysters, uni, and chuuka seaweed salad- all were superb. I was extremely impressed at the freshness and quality of the ingredients, as well as the beauty and care with presentation. For his main, my dad ordered the tofu steak, which was the most velvety and flavourful tofu we have had outside of our favourite place in Tokyo (called I <3 Gyoza). My mum and I had the sashimi omekase for 2, and the consideration from the chef was beyond exceptional. He asked us our preferences, my mum is a fan of ami ebi, I love tako and ika- all 3 were of the highest quality I've experienced. He also took a great interest in how we were enjoying things and continually provided advice or information about what we were eating. The waiting staff was also extremely caring and fun to speak with, and really were happy to see that we enjoyed ourselves. The manager also gave us a wonderful recommendation of an undistilled sake to go with our desserts, that was simply fabulous. Chisou is not just truly fantastic dining in terms of quality of food and service, but a theatrical experience that will make you feel as if you've teleported from London right into a Japanese izakaya. We have already booked a reservation to go back tomorrow and I cannot wait."

"The place was pretty good and was not noisy, however, we were waiting for the food 20-30 minutes while we were the only guests in the restaurant. The food was ok, but for example truffle tagliatelle were too oily, and the price is not really worth the quality. Therefore, this is a place that you could visit once but not more."

"as my favorite sushi place I was on the top of my list. Eating and presentation was amazing as they would expect. the staff was very friendly and friendly. tried oolong tee for the first time, which was actually delicious. my only criticism is that there is too much on the menu! it is impossible to choose! "We visited Koto Restaurant on North Parade for Sunday lunch for the first time, and we wish we had tried it sooner. The ramen broth was incredibly delicious, with a gentleman next to us remarking that it tasted just like what he had in Japan. The menu was straightforward and easy to order from, with both the broth and noodles being homemade and preservative-free. The food was healthy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The only downside was that they do not take reservations, so there may be a wait. Overall, I would rate the food at Koto Restaurant as some of the best in Oxford."

"Is it 2.5 stars or 3 hmm..I guess that 3 'll have to do as 2 's too few eh.. I guess Sunday wasn 't my day as sadly Nanakusa didn 't stop the rot. I 've eaten at their sister restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was hoping for more of the same, but sadly found this to be quite a bland experience. I ordered 3 small plates, the agadashi dofu, sweet potato makimono seaweed salad. While the dishes came quickly were presented well, the execution wasn 't great and the flavours were well.. meh. I went for the makimono first found the sushi rice so soft, it was like I was biting into a food cloud, but then the filling didn 't really taste of anything was crispy.. Now I quite like food that makes your palate jump, whether it 's contrasting flavours, heat or texture, but if this soft outer vs crispy inside was intentional, I fear I missed the point. Instead of oooh interesting! my brain was thinking uhh what.. Next up I went for the seaweed salad, which was alright at first as I was eating mostly seaweed a little iceberg lettuce, but the more I dug, the more I realised it was 80% iceberg, which isn 't what I ordered sir! Add to that a general lack of flavour bar the umami of the seaweed and soy, there wasn 't any acid or sweetness to balance it out. Lastly there was the agadashi dofu, which having recently called off hostilities with soy, I was really looking forward to. It was lightly fried, leaving the inside almost uncooked, and served in a soy based, tempura dressing. Sadly the lack of spring onions meant that there was nothing to counter the soy because of the softness of the dofu light tempura batter it all just fell apart after sitting in the sauce. I 'm really not sure about the decor, it seems to be part traditional part modern Japanese set within a beautifully corniced old building. The changing lights were kinda fun in a modern way, but set amongst the wooden panelling they seemed somewhat out of place. Not to begin end on a moan, the staff were really efficient friendly despite it being a quiet Sunday night. I was given plenty of time to peruse the menu afterwards the service was swift friendly. It 's a shame that this occasion didn 't live up to expectation. I 've heard people say a lot of good things about Nanakusa, maybe I just made the wrong choices or it was an off night. I 'd go back, but there are many more places higher up the list to try before I consider another sitting at Nanakusa, shame really.."

I went to my wife's birthday and they made sure that we had the best time not to remember the names, but every worker came up to ask how that was eating and if we needed anything else. we ordered a series of items from the menu and they tasted amazing.
