"We ordered the wellington and it was over cooked. Two of the pieces were almost grey.. probably because it was standing under the heating lamp for more than 10 minutes before they served it. The mash was also cold. When we told the waiter he replied.. but it's only these two pieces that are over cooked right? And he kind of walked away. Paying 215 pounds for cold over cooked food was not a great experience. Bit of a tourist trap really."

"Restaurant staff was pleasant but not well trained… service was mediocre. The tables for two were on top of each other…. Uncomfortably close. We ordered the beef Wellington for 2. It was delicious but served lukewarm. I was disappointed in this restaurant. You can get superior food and service at a high end chain steakhouse in the USA ie Morton’s, Del Frisco’s, Capital Grille etc. I guess I expected too much."

"We had the Kitchen Table at Maze and it was truly one of the most memorable dining experiences ever and we have been to many top-end restaurants in the major cities all over the world. The service was extremely attentive and impeccable. The food was creative and so delicious and the courses kept coming and coming. We even got to prepare our own second dessert with the pastry chef. All of the chefs came to the table and introduced their dishes. Being in the kitchen gave us the unique vantage point as how efficient and hard a successful kitchen works. I did learn that the UK Service Charge applied did not go to the staff so be prepared to provide cash gratuities to the waiter and wine steward. This dining experience is a must for foodies!!!"

"Two of us had an itison deal and the other member of our party ordered from the regular menu. We chose mid afternoon as we expected it to be quieter and it was. The chef’s were entertaining and we enjoyed watching them cooking.and the interactive...cooking experience. Our food was very tasty and the itison deal was very good value for money. The member of our party who didn’t have the deal enjoyed her food and the dining experience. Quite costly if not using itison however you are paying for the experience as well as the food so would recommend for special occasions. Staff were all very friendly"

"Amazing. I recently took my mother to the Crazy Bear on Saturday last week for her birthday surprise. I have to say we both really enjoyed it. I was a lovely girlie evening. On arrival we were met by the hostess, who was all smiles and made us feel so welcome. She promptly took our coats and we were escorted downstairs to the bar for pre-dinner drinks. We sat at the bar where we were instantly handed a drinks menu by a hunky bar tender, named Santi I believe? Ladies, you have to meet this guy, he is gorgeous and makes a mean Martini! "I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant, which catered exceptionally well to my vegetarian dietary needs. Instead of the typical boring sandwiches, they offered a variety of delicious options. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—a true hidden gem! The decor features amazing artwork from around the world. The service was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. I will definitely return in the future!"

"I took my mum and mother in law for high tea and we were delighted the moment we stepped in, amazing decor and absolutely stunning dining hall! Never seen anything like that before! We booked via phone and we were asked for card details first I was bit reluctant but they explained due to everything made fresh for diners we want to make sure nothing goes to waste as they do not take walk-ins, they also assured card won't be charged until dining and there is no cancellation fee if cancelled in advance, which made sense! We like afternoon tea/high tea but I can assure I have never had such an amazing tea before! Everything was so fresh, from scones to sandwiches and pastries! They also gave us surprises with hot and cold canapés which were freshly baked! Which made sense for calling it high tea! As there was so much to eat, freshly baked hot bread with butter was scrumptious! We will be back it was the best high tea we ever had!"

"Quite possibly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The staff were friendly enough but seemed a bit clueless. Christmas Day menu included Turkey with all the trimmings. What I got was a couple of slices of some kind of Turkey per cent stuffing and percent whiter flavourless rubber meat masquerading as turkey. Trimmings' were a small bed of cabbage and broccoli and one (yes one) RAW boiled potato. It was my friends birthday as well as being Christmas day, so I chose not to complain about anything other than the raw potato. Staff apologised and brought me another poorly cooked (but not raw) boiled potato on a saucer about minutes after I had actually finished the meal! Having paid per head we were expecting to get a fairly decent lunch. With drinks and service charge that was added to the original payment upfront, we left lighter and hungry. Luckily we could laugh about the experience (the wine helped), but this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Don't waste your money, much better places nearby."

"I was very hesitant about ordering sushi and having it delivered without seeing it first; so often places either turn out to be ‘sushi that’s sat there’ (alike itsu all day and not prepared to order) or sushi that’s freshly prepared and made to order. Well, this was lovely! Fresh nicely sized pieces with good quality salmon and yummy avocado. This for sure wasn’t prepared and sat there all day in a fridge with no doors. Would definitely order sushi from here again so great! The katsu sauce was amazing !!! (Next time I’d even order a pot of this on the side). The chicken with it was a little dry but the udon noodles were lovely. My miso soup was a tad strong, very salty so I diluted it a little and that was great. Would 100% order from here again. If you’re reading this now- do it!"

"Never judge a book by it's cover. From the outside it doesn't look much more inviting than any other restaurant on this strip. Step inside and the decor is a little dated albeit clean and tidy. Service is excellent. All the staff are friendly. Most importantly however the food is outstanding. Having eaten in a number of Japanese and Korean restaurants it can always be a little hit and miss. I have never had a bad dish here. I look forward to my next visit very much and sampling more of the excellent food."

"The service wasn't great. No one seemed to know what they were doing. We ate Asian inspired and the salt and chilli chicken was so try it was hard to eat. The raspberry daiquiri was very bitter so not great. We were at an event in the radisson so was great that we could have something so close but all 8 of us wernt really impressed at all. "SPOILER: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU APPRECIATE GOOD SERVICEAs we were staying at the Grange Hotel at St Paul’s we decided to eat in and chose their Japanese restaurant Benihana. We booked for 7.30pm and were running a little late arriving at 7.45pm. A young lady greeted us, asked if we had booked which we confirmed we had, she then left explaining she would get the manager to attend to us. A couple of minutes passed whilst we observed that the restaurant was hardly busy with perhaps 12 covers. Then another young lady greeted us, again asking had we booked and again we confirmed we had and explained we were being seen to. We then waited another couple of minutes, admittedly by now feeling a little neglected. Just then the manager passed by us carrying two chairs and addressing us over his shoulder saying “I know you are waiting just give me a minute and I will be with you”. Sure enough a minute later the manager appeared, again asking whether we had booked, which we confirmed and then, upon checking the computer turned to us and in a surly tone said “You’re late, you should have been here at 7.30.” We were absolutely stunned, particularly given that a large part of the time lapse had been due to their lack of attention upon our arrival. Quite the most appalling service we have ever had and we had not yet managed to reach the table. Needless to say we walked out and ate at an excellent Japanese restaurant, Uramaya, down the road where we had not booked, and where we were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately this restaurant completely lets down an otherwise excellent hotel."
