"Took my friend for a birthday dinner here and my friend just kept saying how delicious the food is. We went on a Monday eve, so the food came out really quickly and the service was impeccable. What we had: Starters: Chips dips rice crackers with avocado shisho and tomato salsa. This was my least favourite dish and the one that I wouldn't order again. It wasn't bad but the rice crackers were a tad bland. 3/5 Beef fat potato chips those were **** amazing! Try them! 5/5 Fried squid with yuzu kosho mayo and Japanese spices they were spicy and moreish! Would order again for sure 5/5 Mains: Flesh bun crispy piglet belly! I absolutely love pork belly! It was melting in the mouth with a crispy skin what more can you want. 5/5 Miso glazed aubergine poke don classic Japanese way of cooking aubergine. Delicious! 5/5 Dessert: Kinako donuts solid choice but next time I'll try the fondant (takes 15min to cook apparently! The only thing that I found jarring with the whole ambiance of the place was the hentai in the toilets. I did appreciate it, it just looked a bit out of place and might raise some eyebrows"

Lovely food, excellent service. We went on a Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. The place was not too busy even though Covent garden was heaving. Buns are always an excellent choice, my husband had the salmon teriyaki with crispy noodles. Only thing I found overpowering was the cold jasmine tea.

This is a great restaurant for if you're a bun fan the atmosphere is very authentic and they have lovely staff too. As for the food it was delicious! This is a good place for a birthday , date or catch up with friends. The sound levels are fine for talking and the location is easy to get to from local stations. A hidden gem!

Came here for a birthday meal, we go the calamari, Korean wings and Tempur prawns as the started which was really nice apart from the calamari which was very salty. For our main I got the boa buns but the sauce that's came with it did not go which put me off my meal. My friend got the poke done which they said was really good which I wish I had gotten instead. This place does get very busy so I would book in advance. Staff are also very friendly View menu

I visited Flesh Buns for the first time recently and had an amazing experience. The staff were welcoming and provided outstanding service in a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the Korean fried wings and fried squid/calamari starters. For our main dishes, we ordered the salmon teriyaki and Japanese fried chicken which came with light and fluffy steamed bao buns. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning for another visit.

Went to this place on a Sunday, they have a 3-course menu for £26 which includes a starter, main and dessert which offers decent value in central London. The Korean chicken wings are crispy and flavoursome, however, the fish in the ceviche is not the freshest and lacks flavour. They also ran out of their crispy duck leg buns before 6 pm which was quite disappointing, however, the pork piglet belly was so tender and delicious! Desserts were warming and tasty as well. The restaurant was nice and laid back and the service was attentive.

Came here for a TGIF dinner. We ordered the Korean wings and yakitori chicken for starters which were pretty good. For mains, we had the crispy duck leg as well as the miso grilled aubergine which came with 2 steamed buns each. The crispy duck leg was average (a little dry) and the miso grilled aubergine was overdosed with salty miso which was too overwhelming for our liking and we didn’t finish the dish. The hot sake was really good though and we enjoyed it. Overall, we felt the dinner was overpriced for average dishes and we probably won’t be returning anytime soon. View menu

Suuuch delicious food and nice relaxed atmosphere. Always busy. £10 off pp deal in Aug if you mention their email. The salmon teriyaki bao is the standout, big enough to get 4 bao buns out of (you can order more buns v cheap . The miso aubergine poke bowl was v good value and big enough for a lunch or lightish dinner. Fried squid and broccoli and prawn tempura maki to start. All delicious. Washed down with a stone wood (fav beer discovered in Aus so happy to find it in London! . However it’s not cheap. For all the mentioned food it was £87 including one beer each, we had £20 off but still a relatively pricey meal though. Service was good but not outstanding!

My wife recommended Flesh Buns to me after enjoying a team lunch at their Soho location. Within 10 days, we decided to try their express lunch at the Covent Garden branch and we were not disappointed. The wings and crispy duck were delicious, although the chicken teriyaki poke don was just alright. While the overall taste was good, I deducted a point as I didn't find anything particularly unique about the dishes. I believe I could find similar options at another restaurant with a similar atmosphere and taste for a better price. However, if you're looking for a spot for team lunches or a pre-theatre meal, their Express menu is definitely worth trying. The service was friendly, and I would lik...
