"We visited the restaurant on December 11, 2022, and the hotel receptionist informed us that it was closed. Unfortunately, she didn't provide any further explanation, and when we tried to call, no one answered. We had made a reservation for a busy Saturday, but it did not include the restaurant. Please remove this place from OpenTable when it is closed!"

"After eagerly anticipating the opening of Ohisama, having known Indika from his time at Atari-ya, I can confidently say that the wait was well worth it! Everything at Ohisama is top-notch, from the service to the delectable dishes and the meticulous care that is put into the preparation, quality, and presentation of the Indian cuisine. The location is also ideal, situated on the bustling road near Chiltern Firehouse, between Baker Street and Marylebone High Street."

"What a beautiful Japanese culinary experience! I started with edamame, spinach sesame, chicken gyoza, Japanese omelette, and inari, all of which were perfect and delicious. The spicy salmon, tuna fish avocado, and shrimp tempura were also excellent. I couldn't pick a favorite because everything was so tasty with fresh seafood. Service was quick and attentive. For my main course, I had chicken katsu with rice and teriyaki chicken donburi. The katsu was perfectly fried and one of my favorites, while the donburi brought me the authentic flavors of Japan. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food and hospitality. I will definitely be visiting again!"

"I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant, which catered exceptionally well to my vegetarian dietary needs. Instead of the typical boring sandwiches, they offered a variety of delicious options. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—a true hidden gem! The decor features amazing artwork from around the world. The service was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. I will definitely return in the future!"

"I took my mum and mother in law for high tea and we were delighted the moment we stepped in, amazing decor and absolutely stunning dining hall! Never seen anything like that before! We booked via phone and we were asked for card details first I was bit reluctant but they explained due to everything made fresh for diners we want to make sure nothing goes to waste as they do not take walk-ins, they also assured card won't be charged until dining and there is no cancellation fee if cancelled in advance, which made sense! We like afternoon tea/high tea but I can assure I have never had such an amazing tea before! Everything was so fresh, from scones to sandwiches and pastries! They also gave us surprises with hot and cold canapés which were freshly baked! Which made sense for calling it high tea! As there was so much to eat, freshly baked hot bread with butter was scrumptious! We will be back it was the best high tea we ever had!"

"yakinori sits on a section of the bristol road that is not known for its culinary excellence. it is student center; a stone throw from the university birmingham, where cheap beer and average Indian restaurants go hand-in-hand together, while pissed-up students cavort or do what pissed-up students do these days. I like this part of brum, because I can come with low expectations and not after home disappointed or broken. but eating good? No, that's a myth. or at least it was until yakinori arrived."

"My friend and I visited this restaurant during the summer to enjoy a cocktail and sit outside on their terrace. The area was beautifully decorated with artificial flowers and grass, and the staff was friendly."

"Don’t usually write reviews but we had a fantastic time. Food was 10/10 and a special mention for MARIA who served us for a short time, she was very attentive to our needs and made the whole experience 10x better. The restaurant looked busy as well which is always good news. Make sure to come at happy hour, we got a lot of food bottle of wine for £80. We will be coming back."

"It is hard to find good sushi in London, but this little neighbourhood restaurant really excels! Whoever is buying the fish knows what they are doing it is uniformly fresh, and well-cut. The selection, while not massive, does include some hard-to-find items like amaebi' (beautiful little sweet shrimp) and suzuki (sea bass, not motorcycles), as well as two grades of tuna and the usual hamachi. the rice was properly made and the spicy edamame were really spicy! We were sat downstairs in a very cool, vault-like booth, but there is a sushi bar upstairs, which I'm not sure is in service just yet. Speaking of service, our waitress was lovely overall, no complaints. We took a chance on this restaurant, as it is in our neighbourhood, and were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food we can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu."

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."

"The service was absolutely terrible! I had to call the waiter ten times just to place my order. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, and the waitstaff seemed confused about which table ordered what. I ordered a prosecco, but it came flat, and when I asked for a replacement, it was just as disappointing. We also wanted to use an OpenTable voucher and confirmed beforehand that the restaurant was still part of the program (it was). However, when we presented the voucher to the manager, he was incredibly rude and unhelpful, practically making a scene and raising his voice as we tried to understand why it wasn't accepted. The food itself was decent, but that level of service is not worth the price."

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"

"Took my friend for a birthday dinner here and my friend just kept saying how delicious the food is. We went on a Monday eve, so the food came out really quickly and the service was impeccable. What we had: Starters: Chips dips rice crackers with avocado shisho and tomato salsa. This was my least favourite dish and the one that I wouldn't order again. It wasn't bad but the rice crackers were a tad bland. 3/5 Beef fat potato chips those were **** amazing! Try them! 5/5 Fried squid with yuzu kosho mayo and Japanese spices they were spicy and moreish! Would order again for sure 5/5 Mains: Flesh bun crispy piglet belly! I absolutely love pork belly! It was melting in the mouth with a crispy skin what more can you want. 5/5 Miso glazed aubergine poke don classic Japanese way of cooking aubergine. Delicious! 5/5 Dessert: Kinako donuts solid choice but next time I'll try the fondant (takes 15min to cook apparently! The only thing that I found jarring with the whole ambiance of the place was the hentai in the toilets. I did appreciate it, it just looked a bit out of place and might raise some eyebrows"

"Yakinori has a dedicated Veg Vegan Menu of Japanese fusion food and the restaurant is fun and vibrant. Lots of vegan options and delicious, too. My favourites are the vegan yasai donburi, kabocha pumpkin katsu, vegan yasai ramen, the vegan sushi (especially the inari sweet tofu nigiri) and the vegan yasai gyoza. They do really good vegan bubble teas at Yakinori Bristol, too! The service is always warm and friendly and they also have 2 branches in Birmingham."

"I made a reservation for New Year's Eve and received an email confirmation. After checking the menu link provided, we knew exactly what we wanted. However, when we arrived at 9:30 PM, we discovered that the menu had been changed to a fixed four-course meal, which cost almost double what we had anticipated! I asked the waiter why we hadn't been informed of this change, but he simply said, "That's just how it is." Overall, it was a disappointing experience with poor service, and I won't be returning."

"I was looking for an appetizer and a nice restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Ambience and authenticity were excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, we chose set menu £35pp. Food was excellent, but wished there were more dishes and lots of food per person was not enough I.e ordered Teriyaki salmon and there was only 1 piece of slam that we had to share. I felt that when we paid per person, I would like the food for each person to have been the same quantities, Dessert was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and visit again, but would be a bit more careful with the choice of food. Perfect location for appetizers in the Royal Albert Hall"
