"The location is excellent, and as a group of vegetarians, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The vegetable ramen and miso aubergine were particularly delicious. However, the restaurant was quite cold due to a significant drop in temperature, and they had to rely on portable heaters. I would love to visit again during a warmer month to fully appreciate the experience. The staff were attentive and polite, and overall, it provided great value for money."

"I've visited nippon a lot over the last six years, maybe more than any other Japanese eatery and it sasdsens me to have seen its decline. Staff are no longer warm and friendly, the vegs options are no longer fresh or filling and the portions have seemingly become smaller. Maybe the love has gone and someone behind the scenes has taken their hands of the wheel but I used to recommend Nippon Kitchen a lot. Sadly I never seem to feel the need these days. A seperate vegan menu IS great though and they can't be faulted for being one of the first Japanese eateries in Glasgow to embrace the potential vegan audience and maybe that reputation will carry them for a while but unless they shake up their standards I fear that Nippon Kitchen's sun will truly set some day ."

"Great food however please be aware there is more than one food menu and they may not offer both to you. I ordered from the more limited menu but saw others people getting sushi which was not on my menu. When I enquired how they were ordering sushi I was then told about menu 2. I wanted to change my order but unfortunately it had already gone to the kitchen and couldn’t be changed. This was incredibly disappointing and ruined our dining experience as first time visitors. It seems if your not a regular you may end up missing out. Restaurant occupancy was about 30 but despite this it felt as if were being rushed out which also made us feel a bit unwelcome. I would probably give oita one more try and hopefully next time is better"

"We booked this for my birthday dinner and could not fault it. From when we arrived and throughout the night the staff were very welcoming and could not do enough for you, especially OJ. The food was excellent and very tasty and very well presented. We also enjoyed the huge range of cocktails available and entertainment. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend and will be going back shorty. Also, as it was my birthday, they presented me with a birthday dessert plate, was very spoilt, thank you. Whether going for just a drink or a meal this is the place to go."

"I ordered The Don with Chunky Skin-on Fries and Garlic Mayo dipping sauce. It was the best burger I have ever had! No wonder there was about a 15-20 mins wait, because it was worth it. The waitress was adorable. I would definitely recommend it and I wish we would've visited it another time to try something else, it is a must-try!"

"This restaurant offers good quality sushi with rice served at the perfect temperature. The sushi rice is well-balanced, not too compact or too loose. The lack of timestamps on the conveyor belt ensures that the dishes are fresh. We ordered chicken teriyaki, a Californian hand roll, Lachs-Ceviche, and more from the menu. The Lachs-Ceviche was a standout with a slightly tangy sauce and thinly sliced like a tiradito. The portions were generous, especially the chicken teriyaki made with deboned thigh meat. The California hand roll had too much mayo for my liking, but the maki rolls were enjoyable. The miso vinaigrette that came with the meerrot thun was a highlight. The restaurant offers a nice selection of house wine at a reasonable price. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with beautiful seating options."

This meant it was a little busier than you'd expect on a weekday lunch hour but also that everything was half price. "A slightly more mixed review this time. Lucky Cat remains a decent choice and service is impeccable, if a bit slow (but understandable on a busy night). But a few issues: one the music was very loud and we had to shout to be able to hear each other. And the phone we ordered on informed us that our food would arrive at 7:30 pm gmt And we waited . Fast forward the clock strikes 7:30 no sign of our food. Fast forward even further to 8:10 pm and still no sight of our food so we check the phone we ordered on and it has been pushed back to an 8:30 delivery time an hour After we were told it would arrive and 1:30 hours after we ordered. Me and my home boys were starving. Disgraceful. Truly disappointed, me and the crew have eaten there before and it was splendid but this time food was cold when it got here. "I must have been for sure very unlucky, but this is the restaurant where I ate probably the worst two dishes in my life. In both cases, the two courses disappeared under a prevailing flavour, erasing all the remaining ingredients. As an appetizer we got the cheviche combination that was basically raw fish fully covered by tons of red hot pepper: you could easily take away all the fish in the dish and the taste would remain exactly the same. As a main course we had a spicy tuna poke where all the wonderful fresh ingredients (tuna, rice, green peas, carrots and more) were hidden behind a blanket of citrus making the whole bowl, citrus apart, totally tasteless: like chewing a huge candy. The gourmet experience was so devastating to obliterate the nice atmosphere of the venue, the service, nice and professional (including nicely receiving appalling feedback from unhappy clients), and everything pleasant around: not even the efforts of the team could justify the chef's disaster tonight. I've been providing feedback on restaurants and hotels from all over the world on this website for years, and I am going for a 1/5 evaluation with no hesitation or regret."

"very fast and attentive service. we had to start the tofu and shishatake mushroom spring roll and also the tofu and avocado summer roll, both were fresh and tasty and we could get enough of the peanut sauce. for the net we had both pho, the vegan option was fragrant and their choice of the meat alternative was good, but not as taste as some alternatives on the market. the “big meat bowl” was filled, willed noodles and meat and I was so full that I could not finish the delicious broth. only 4 stars like; a glass with a bit of ice would be nice when ordering a koks, especially if the menu prices are a fairer price for a good esserei. the vegan choice of meat alternatives could benefit from further research, although it was not bad at all, and the bark in the large bowl could be cut smaller. will definitely return as it was a very satisfying meal."
