"Lots of room for improvement! The place is small but cozy. The entrance is welcoming with a couch and coffee table, some books and a minimalist decoration. Music is spot on! Not too loud, perfect for the moment. Menu is not long but enough. I think about this place more like a “vegan fast food place”, just pizzas, hamburgers and fries (a few other items but not really relevant). I thought because of the simple menu, I could have it fast but I waited for almost an hour to realize, they gave my order to another party. Had to wait 15 more minutes after the fact. I almost left because they didn’t have cakes, cookies or something else to snack on or have a coffee with. Management wise, there were two girls, one that seems to care (a lot) and one than couldn’t care less!"

"I left a review of mathers in 2017 when it badly needed some dc. I am pleased that the dings have been improved! Banquet seating places were sympatheticly recovered and the ceiling lights are now much more in tune with the place....All good improvements. mathers is often, inconspicuous, in my opinion, referred to as an old man pub, but it is so much more than that when given a chance. There are many older customers during the day, but they come here because they are treated with respect and friendliness by the personal. mathers is all about talking. I spent a nice afternoon with a guy in the same age as I had never met. we were clearly of very different backgrounds, but that was not important and that is the thing with mathers- it is a pub for all but pissing idiots they do not find here. Unfortunately, they added a music system that brings me nothing into the atmosphere and just comes into the way of the conversation. it could also do with a good dust on places. bier selection was good, I especially liked her house pale ale. Spirits selection excellent. Unfortunately, the return fonts have been replaced by characterless manuals, but this has happened in many edinburgh pubs, a pity. the personal was great and the friendliness that was shown to her older masters was warming up. mathers may have seen many months ago, but it is still a lively, lively pub to have a few pints. it remains the best example for a single-room public bar in edinburgh perhaps the whole Scottland."

"I moved away from Plymouth back in 2020 when this little puppy was being refurbished. I was sad I never got to say g 'bye having visited many times before its closure, usually hungover or skiving from work. This sadness has been compounded by the fact that since their re-opening, the down-right NSFW bagel spam I see on their Instagram page has been filling me with envy for everyone that has a Plymouth post-code. Nothing in London could fill that void... ... Until this week. I finally was in Plymouth early enough that meant I could get my fill of bagels and OH. MY. DAYS!! I ask of you: if you are a Plymouthian bagel lover and aren 't here on the daily, why?! The most legit bagels going: soft, chewy, dense enough to be satisfying, light enough to allow you to walk away from your table, rather than being carried. I had 2: the salt beef (obvs) and the halloumi pepper jam and holy SMOKES has nothing ever quite tasted exactly how I wanted it to until now. They absolutely BANGED. The loaded hash browns were right up there too. Cheese sauce and spring onions on a hash brown, who knew?! These guys are linchpins of Plymothian indie culture. All top dudes and dudettes, friendly and kind and cool, all having stuck to their guns to created a product in Hutong Cafe that is unrivelled in the country, let alone the paucity of decent Brunch options that Plymouth offers It 's the hip kinda joint you 'd expect to see on the hippie trails in Southern California or Bali and yet here it is, smashing it up in Plymouth. I urge you to support this local stalwart, just as I will be by spending over £25 on bagel breakies every time I visit."

"The food served don’t deserve 2 Michelin stars, I was so excited to be dining here for lunch. After dining at many one star restaurants my imagination was going wild at what we’d be served. The hors d’ oeuvres were underwhelming, one was a jelly sweet smothered in sugar! The bread was cold and was not fresh at all. The fish course was served on some sort of crust, this tasted stale. The fish itself did not of the texture of fish and was tasteless. As the dishes were brought out the more disappointed we became. Not one dish had a flavour explosion or brought any happiness. Not one dish seemed complete and everyone lacked something. As for the candy floss dessert, i tried, it failed not worth the calories. We paid the £440 bill for 2 and left speechless and hungry. Giving this restaurant 2 Michelin stars is a license to print money. If you’d like a Michelin experience half the price try Adams, Upstairs or even Simpsons in the midlands."

"such a weird place, decor is stunning, so much so that we thought we were in the wrong place since it was so beautiful inside. but wait times for food are really long. there were five of us at our table and it took somewhere between an hour and a half and two hours to get our food, which was fairly tasty. also we were trying to reserve our table here all day and kept calling the landline they had listed on their website at least seven or eight times, but there was no answer every time. definitely would recommend, but be prepared to wait a very long time for food."

"Had a great experience at super sushi which we went to for the all you can eat sushi buffet which was halal. We got greeted with smiles and the staff were very welcoming. Once ordered, the food came quite quick where it was only 5 mins or so and we got all 6 dishes we ordered at the same time too. They have a variety of hot food and cold food and you can pick up to 6 dishes per order on however many orders you want! Only down side I would say is that there is no dessert options included and you’d have to pay extra for it. But overall, had an amazing experience and highly recommend if you’re looking for a halal all you can eat sushi restaurant! Will go again for sure. Vegetarian options: A lot of veggie options Dietary restrictions: Halal and vegetarian options widely available Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere for kids, as they have displays and stickers around the restaurant"

"We have been eating at and ordering to take away for years. Absolutely exquisite sushi. The salmon and toro are melt in the mouth and I can’t order without my one hot item katsu fried squid. Best I’ve ever had. The staff are all wonderful, chefs obviously top notch and the servers are always friendly when you can clearly tell are under pressure. Unfortunately, we’ve had to wait such a long time for service hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Last visit, we ordered to takeout and ended up waiting for 35 minutes. Each time I popped in I was told another 5 minutes. I wasn’t the only one. A few disgruntled patrons were hovering outside for some time. The amount of Uber Eats tickets in the window makes me wonder if they should have a cut off for orders. They just cannot manage and they’re going full steam as it is. Kitsu, you’re my favourite place to eat and we love you but you need to prioritise your orders a little better or just cut back on the amount you allow. For the health of your staff alone."

"Visited The Old Bakehouse restaurant the night before a family wedding close by. We visited from California and found the restaurant on Google and it had fantastic reviews. Well we had high expectations and we were completely in awe of the setting, the perfect and attentive service, congratulations to the person that hires and trains your staff, so professional, friendly and fun. The food was nothing short of amazing, and we were delighted with everything. We did have a tough time getting a taxi home, but the staff had every confidence their local guy would come through and the when the manager saw us having a glass of wine in the waiting room, she approached us and told us not to worry, if the taxi runs late, she would give us a run back to our lodging at Newhall Estate. The taxi made an adjustment and picked us up on his way to an airport pick up and topped off, what was a wonderful evening. Many thanks to the chef, owners, staff and the cab driver. Five stars and we will let our friends know to stop by."

"Yo Sushi has definitely gone downhill from before. They removed a lot of the interesting features that made Yo Sushi stand out from the rest. The autonomy of the conveyor belt and the water tap at every table has now all gone. You must order via the QR code and pay before receiving it. In addition, the food was horrible. The ramen bowl cost £12.50 and there was not even a handful of noodles in there. The broth was overpowered by pieces of chilli with no real flavour. Some random things were just thrown in like pickled onion and seaweed which made the overall taste just really strange and unappetising. The sushi was less than substandard. The rice did not seem real and did not even look like rice. It was cold and mushy and the rice grains seemed to be blended all in one. It appeared that the sushi had been prepared 2 or 3 days ago. The next thing I noticed was the thinness of California rolls. It looked like the chef had taken 2 normal size rolls and chopped them in half to make four. Overall it was a very bad eating-out experience and confirmed my decision never eating at Yo Sushi again."

"We thoroughly enjoy visiting The Curry Lounge at Fordhouses, not only for the delicious freshly cooked food but to be looked after by the wonderful Sunny. He is an absolute asset to the place and is incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He is very friendly and happy and extremely welcoming. Seldom do you find an eating establishment where the food and the service make you want to visit again and again. Look forward to visiting again very soon! "This is a family run business, and some families shouldn't work together. We booked for a large party weeks in advance, and asked if we needed a set menu pre order or deposit and the person we chatted with was very relaxed and happy that we just needed to come. Wind forward to less than a week before the booking and a different, very forceful, anxious and demanding family member called to change just about everything on our booking, meaning I would have to contact 27 people and get back to them with information, during our week on holiday. She was really rude to the point of offensive, clearly used to getting her own way and overly assertive. It was hard to get a word in at all. Given her attitude, and how unpleasant she was and would likely be on the evening of our party, we scrabbled around and booked elsewhere nearby. I would not recommend Wudon for a group booking at all. Too stressful and unpredictable."

"A group of four of us had a satisfying lunch at the restaurant, with two of us ordering the Partisan breakfast, one choosing the chorizo sandwich, and myself opting for the Sobrassada de Mallorca. Mine was delicious, served with sliced pear, brazil nuts, and goat cheese on bread. Everyone enjoyed their meals as well, which all looked appetizing. We ended our meal with a slice of cake. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing good service. We plan on returning. I noticed that many people were turned away, so I recommend making a reservation. The ladies' restroom also serves as the disabled restroom, which was a bit inconvenient, but understandable given the size of the building."

"We stopped by for a meal on our way home from Stratford upon Avon. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The food was decent but has room for improvement. I ordered sausage and mash, which was fine, but the mash could have been served hotter, and the gravy was a bit too watery. One of the sausages was also slightly overcooked and a bit crunchy. It’s a nice place overall, but there are definitely a few areas that could use some enhancement. Oh, and I would recommend using fresh vegetables instead of frozen peas. Price per person: £10–20."

"There could not have been a much better way to get my 2022 Michelin Star year up and running than with an absolutely fabulous lunch at Da Terra. The food with some new dishes and redesigned old ones was amazing , the wine pairings from sommelier Maria were perfect and the service was impeccable as always. We’ve had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant from the beginning three years ago through to the two michelin stars they have now but I would have to say that this visit just about tops them all. On saturday we arrived at Bethnal Green station and took the short walk to the town hall where you will find Da Terra. A warm welcome awaited from Jasmin before she escorted us to our now customary Table 10. Once seated over came manager Charlie for a nice chat and to offer us a complimentary glass of bubbles to welcome us back. Now to the menu where there is a choice of three tasting menu’s to which we opted for the long ten course. We started things of with the fabulous and refreshing amuse bouche called the Caipirinha based on the brazilian cocktail. This led us to a selection of snacks that were simply delicious. A Cod Croquette , Beef Tacos , Taleggio Doughnut and a fabulous New Scallop Cup. Before we moved onto our first course it was time to select some wine to pair with the menu and I have to say that sommelier Maria came up with an absolute beauty. The Robert Sinskey 2016 Pinot Noir from the Napa Valley in California was light and fruity and just a sublime pairing. So now to start the menu of we enjoyed a stunning Arctic Char with houghton springs , courgette tucupi. This was followed by the Custard with mussel , sake kasu , trout roe , seaweed and accompanied with sea lettuce crackers that was easily one of the best dishes I’ve eaten at Da Terra. Next to arrive was the famous Chicken which had been revamped and personally I thought it was the best version to date. It came with wings , liver , feet , egg yolk onion. Now it was time for the Bread course featuring sourdough along with bone marrow and three types of butter. This led us to the Moqueca a fantastic brazilian fish stew with wild turbot , palm heart farofa and accompanied with chillies to just add a little heat to the dish. We now moved to the meat dishes which started with the fabulous Raviolo of duck , whey , watercress and smoked duck charcuterie. Then it was time for the Hereford Short Rib with crosnes , cassava , chimichurri and heavenly veal sweetbread salad. These were just another two superlative dishes to add to what we’d enjoyed throughout our lunch. Next to arrive was the cheese course called Romeo and Juliette with a goat’s cheese topped with a guava gel and a fennel cracker. This led us to the Baba with cahaca , pistachio and kaluga before finishing with the dessert of Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb with coconut and twenty five year old balsamic. I have to say the addition of coconut really enhanced this dessert to the next level. We finished with coffee , petit fours and a digestive from their drinks trolley to bring to end another outstanding visit to Da Terra. The food under the inspiration of Rafael , Mark and all the team with the combination of new and revamped dishes was simply stunning. The wine pairings from sommelier Maria were a absolute delight and the service led by manager Charlie was first class. A visit to this restaurant really is a must especially with it’s brazilian influence that your unlikely to experience anywhere else. I really can’t wait to plan my next visit. Thank You Rafael , Charlie , Mark , Maria and all the team for a truly fabulous dining experience and look forward to seeing you all again soon."

"My friends and I made a last-minute decision to go out on a Saturday night and ended up at this recently opened restaurant. I had noticed it the week before while attending a match at St James Park, where I saw that Bar Soho had been transformed into a Korean and Japanese Restaurant called Soho. When we arrived around 9:30, there were only 4 tables occupied, which made us a bit apprehensive. The manager greeted us warmly and we settled in to peruse the menu. The atmosphere was very casual, more like a laid-back dining spot than a formal restaurant, which I think works well for the nearby match crowds and students. We ordered a variety of starters, including tempura, sushi, meats, and vegetarian options, all of which were delicious. However, the main courses were a bit disappointing and fell short of our expectations. They reminded me more of a meal from Wagamama, decent but not as impressive as the starters. Since they had only recently opened and were still getting the hang of things, I plan on returning to give them another chance and hopefully have a better experience. Good luck to them!"

"Well where do I begin…what an amazing family experience we had at MAZZA! If you want those old school traditional flavours then this is the place be! What a gem! The ambience is perfect. Family run….the staff are so welcoming and attentive. Their recommendations are spot on and the restaurant itself is spotless! The menu is impressive it has something for everyone! The fact that this Indian restaurant have created their own vegan dishes says a lot for the time and effort put in by the chefs which not all Indian restaurants offer. We had a mix starter including tandoori lamb chops, meat samosas, tandoori chicken…the meat was so succulent. For me the standout was the mushroom bhaji wow this buttery dish just melted in my mouth! The lamb Naga was perfect… spicy but not overpowering you are still able to taste the fusion of spices. We had both chicken and king prawn biryani with the vegetable curry the kids particularly commented on how tasty these were. But for me the best of all was the lamb shank….I have never tasted anything like it! The meat just fell off the bone so succulent, the sauce was authentic and delicious. 10/10 experience Compliments to the chef and everyone who works at MAZZA! We will be returning…highly recommended!"
