"I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The lunch menu had limited choices and the prices were high considering the quality and portion sizes for my three young children. The adult meal I ordered, which consisted of tasteless soup and a cheese sandwich on stale white bread with a small amount of lettuce, cost £11, which I found outrageous. The total bill came to £60.50, and when I complained to the staff about the disappointing meals, I was only offered a £5 discount, the price of the soup. The manageress did not seem interested in addressing my concerns. I usually don't complain when dining out, but in this case, I felt that the lunch options and prices at this otherwise beautiful hotel were a letdown."

"On a Tuesday evening we waited an hour for starter and another hour again for main (not exaggerating). We were advised after asking where our food was that they only had one chef in the kitchen and that the owner had now come in to help. The restaurant was full so not sure if this was bad planning or just unexpectedly busy. It looked like most tables waited a long time for their food. Nice touch at the end, as it was my birthday, that I was given a whole cake unexpectedly and sung Happy Birthday and also given a gift voucher to use in future. Unfortunately didn't quite make up for the two hour wait for food but it did stop us asking for a discount for the wait. One of the waiting staff we were mainly served by was apologetic when bringing starter late, however the one who actually bought our mains out didn't apologise at all for the wait. Not their fault the kitchen was slow, mind you. My friend also said her Vegan Cari was very bland. Was planning a last meal there with my partner before it changes to a new theme as it's where we had our first date but not sure I want to go back even with the voucher, as seems it's gone downhill since Shelina sold it. Interested to see what they're changing it into though."

"The staff were all extremely pleasant and attentive without being too intrusive. Due to the restaurant being fairly empty, we had multiple members of staff with which to deal, though this just ensured speedy service rather than errors being made. Whilst the menu choice was not the best, there were a sufficient number and type of dishes from which to choose, so that everyone in the group (4 of us) was happy with the options. The tapas portions were large enough that we all had a decent taste of each, and apart from the traditional Pide (which received no likes) the consensus was that the food was tasty All in all we had a very enjoyable meal, which, with a cocktail each and two bottles of wine came to a very reasonable £225 (with service charge) ."

"I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I tried the Chicken Pie with vegetables and spring onion mashed potatoes, it was very satisfying. The atmosphere at the pub was welcoming and I would definitely come back. The staff were all very kind and attentive."

"our first stay in the village hotel was brilliant. we have a lot, so the stay was very cheap. room was very clean, could have been done with a mini fridge, but it is not a big thing. we really enjoyed it with the pool steam bath. brilliant with a star-corner in the space that was handy for a morning coffee. the only thing I would mention is the noise of the gym tomorrow is quite loud, we were in the 3rd floor, and we were awakened by loud music at 8 o'clock, so did not get the sleep we hoped we had. dining room service was nice, but only a little expensive. great hotel, anyway, and would certainly return."

"Had the most delicious meal on Saturday night. We arrived to a warm welcome by the barman which makes all the difference, then seated into the restaurant by him. Our order was taken politely by the waitress and our food was served shortly after. We started with the pea arancini and the cauliflower and cheese veloute. We both had the pan seared salmon for main which was absolutely delicious, with a crispy skin to die for! Finishing with the rhubarb creme brulee and ice cream. It was such a treat to have fresh food served on hot plates. We can highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you."

"I was thrilled with a Benedict and omelette option and they were original and tasty. The sauces were really nice and we felt we’d eaten our veggies for the day. The prices were eye watering but it makes sense as they grow much of the veg organically at their farm. They are closing soon to relocate to a venue nearer their farm. I was happy to try at this venue as it’s very beautiful with wonderful service."

"Always loved this restaurant and whilst it’s always been a little pricier it has been worth it for the service, food and atmosphere. However, having not been here since March 2023 I went here this weekend and was shocked with the total bill. £96 for 2 people with no alcohol. On closer inspection of the bill I’d even been charged for the chutney tray to go with my poppadams. I will be looking for a new Indian restaurant to go to because the bill simply did not justify the food that we had and the service, whilst good did not justify the £9 service charge."

"I have dined at this restaurant on several occasions previously and had a very positive experience, which was the case again on this visit. The decor and ambience is very understated and elegant and the atmosphere is relaxed with friendly and motivated staff. On this occasion, I felt the service at the beginning was a little slow in terms of acquiring menus and taking orders. This was possibly due to multiple tables all ready to order at the same time, one main waiter that I could see, (there may have been more) and not wanting to overwhelm the kitchen. Having said that, both the waiter and Manager were very professional and attentive when you did require service. I had the 3 course set lunch menu which was great value, a high standard of cooking and a generous portion size. My friend chose from the al a carte menu and she declared that her roasted cauliflower dish was truly delicious, so full flavour and beautifully presented. We did not feel rushed during our visit having spent approximately 2 and half hours over lunch and the settlement of the bill was easy and correct. The restaurant is spotless as are the restrooms and it is very clear that the Manager and his team take great pride in making their clients experience a positively memorable one. This restaurant deserves it's many accolades and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for good authentic food and friendly service."

"Incredibly great service and a great ambience that invites you to a cozy evening! The entrance to the restaurant is very difficult to find due to the construction site, but after we spoke to one of the employees we were immediately helped. The dishes were all delicious, but not a taste experience unfortunately there was no highlight. Looking back, the main thing I remember from this evening is the ambience and the service. As written, the food was good, but unfortunately it didn't make a lasting impression on us a shame!"

"Although I never stayed in the hotel, we visited brunch for Sunday as recommended by a family member. from beginning to end I found the whole experience excellent, I found the personal welcome and inventive for our needs. the eating was excellent in every sight, with a lot of choice including lots of healthy options and great value for money. "this little hidden gem is amazing. book them for an overnight as it went to coldplay. last night we had beautiful fish and chips in the bar and a delicious breakfast this morning. our room was perfect with everything you need. it's in the country, but taxis are back and forth to the cardiff stage. would be highly recommended and would return again. personal beautiful and helpful."

"Car park well signposted however the actual venue was not, it was difficult to identify the building as the kings arms. Food was reasonable could have been hotter roast potatoes were not crispy but overall fine a little more seasoning would have helped as would a more generous helping of gravy. The pudding was lovely the best bit of the meal."

"I traveled solo and stayed in Greenwich for 3 months and cannot say more about this restaurant. The restaurant and staff are professional and the restaurant itself is extremely classy .. The food and the service were outstanding. It then became a go to restaurant during my stay. Firstly I don't think people realize what a wonderful place Greenwich is to stay when they travel London. It is so easy to get to every major attraction you want, yet you can come back and find a lovely neighborhood with so many great restaurants and pubs as well as museums and the Royal Greenwich Observatory which is a must. On one of your relaxing days you can stroll down Trafalgar street and hit the Maritime museum, Queens House and the Greenwich Market as well and walk along the Thames path to the Cutty Sark and the Uber Thames Clipper. Every mode of transportation is available in Greenwich-the river boats, buses, above ground rail and quick hop to the tube. I eat sushi alot and have tried many restaurants and this had the best selection I have ever had. I sat at the bar and asked the bartender and the staff for suggestions and they were spot on. Check out their other locations throughout London. You will not be disappointed"

"Myself and a friend have been doing the rounds with michellin star restaurants this will definitely be in our top few favourites. We were led into a charming little nook that was very private. The service was extremely good efficient but also majority of staff were willing to have little chats and seemed appreciate humour. Every dish was fine art carefully plated and tasted amazing, we had been to sketch a couple of weeks before which was also a three star but they are poles are apart with this restaurant being a very clear winner. We were extremely honoured to be given a walk through the kitchens which added to the experience. Utterly delightful would love to come again."

"This review is strictly on the afternoon tea experience only. The food was absolutely wonderful, the lady who served food and the male staff (presumed the owner) were both very kind and friendly. I felt that the afternoon tea was an absolute treat since there was nothing to fault with, that was only until it was ruined by the rude woman who was driving past in black 4x4 (presumed female host). After we finished the afternoon tea, I decided to let my dog out from our car to let him stretch his legs before we set off, the rude woman mentioned above asked me if I was looking for a public footpath so I answered no. She then started to lecture me about the ‘no dog policy’ in the property as well as pointing a direction to the public footpath I did not ask. She drove further towards the car park and parked there, got out of her, and started to tell me off in the most rude way possible again. I explained that we just had an afternoon tea here and we’re about to leave. She then turned around started to take stuff out of her boot mumbling loud “stupid..blah blah” in the angry tone, which by the way was clear for me to hear even though I was at least a few feet away from her. I was so bewildered and frustrated at how this perfectly lovely experience went down the hill like this si quickly. Hence I took two stars off even though I did enjoy the food here. Whoever that woman was, please make sure that they cannot behave that way to a guest."
