For that reason value for money is poor although not really expensive. A few people allowed of the street to sit and smoke not sure if anything was ordered this gives it a low end feel. "We went for an early dinner with friends before heading to the theatre. The restaurant opened at 5pm and we had made a reservation for that time. Our arrival seemed to catch the staff off guard, but they were still friendly and accommodating. Our drinks were served promptly. The starters of whitebait and asparagus were a bit heavy, with the whitebait being breaded instead of battered, which was a letdown. However, the main course of seafood linguine with white wine sauce, recommended by our waitress, was fantastic. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the seafood, a mix of mussels, squid, clams and prawns, was cooked just right and lightly seasoned. The steamed spinach on the side was also cooked to perfection and not overdone."

"Service is poor for the standing of the hotel. We were asked if we wanted olives and bread without having the set menu on table. We agreed and discovered too late they charged us £3 for olives and another £3 for 2 tiny bread portion with olives in it. Then we ordered a glass of chablis to match perfectly with our main course but they brought us a red wine saying it was a glass of red chablis (it doesn't exist). Honestly bad experience, will not book again and would not recommend. It's even more disappointing because the food is good and generous (a tiny expensive I would say) but the hotel offers a nice and comfortable ambiance, well you feel welcome to stay..."

"Booked a table for 6 for and upon arrival we were shoved in the corner with 3 makeshift tables. 1 square table, 1 wobbly round table and 1 smaller round table. When addressed the situation to the staff they rudely had stated that other table of 6 was reserved which had confused me. If I’m making a reservation through OpenTable since when could you allocate a table to yourself? So I stated this to staff and their tone of voice changed and rudely stated ‘the table is reserved and we only have your allocated table’. So in HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT we agreed to sit at our allocated makeshift table. Moments later the other party had arrived only to find out, it was the staff members friends/family. Even when placing our food and drinks order, staff were rude and inattentive. Very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all."

"The food was delicious and the cocktail was probably the best I have ever tasted! We went on a date night for my birthday and were enjoying ourselves until a large group of people sat down at a table right behind us. They were very loud, and when our waitress asked if everything was okay, I mentioned that the noise was a bit of a distraction. Without hesitation, they offered to move us to a quieter part of the restaurant. They were very accommodating and made sure we were happy with our new table. We had a lovely evening with just the two of us at a perfectly cozy table. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning, just a suggestion to pay attention to table placement. It's not rocket science."

"Lovely room with comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and Friendly staff. We had the prawn cocktail to start which was a good size and tasty. We then had the chicken dish and the fillet steak, again both were delicious, full of flavour and tender. The fillet steak was cooked perfectly for me. we were then going to share the sticky toffee pudding, until luckily the waitress informed us that it was banana flavoured, which unfortunately neither of us like. I feel the menu should state this. However we tried the chocolate orange mousse instead which I have to say was beautiful, light and full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."
