"Is this part of the Al Forno chain or is it a franchise? If so it does not compare to the other Al Forno restaurants. Food was ok but presentation was poor. It was empty and the tables were dirty. Considering it was not busy service is minimal, the button to call works but this takes away from the experience there is no quality check and no up-selling took place. For that reason value for money is poor although not really expensive. A few people allowed of the street to sit and smoke not sure if anything was ordered this gives it a low end feel. Not as portrayed on your website."

"It was okay. The food was just okay, quite bland really. The service was okay although one of the servers rolled their eyes at us several times and we noticed them doing it when walking away from other tables. It is reasonably priced and the decor is nice but it’s a very small room and it was packed so the noise level was really bad. Basically just a small room full of people shouting at each other to be heard. One of the servers was really nice, I think they had an Irish accent? I wish I got their name because I feel bad leaving this review when they were really great!"

"If you are a food, then you will definitely be disappointed because everything is quite bland or at the best average. But the biggest indignation of the evening was the 4 pound fee for bread. The waiter asked if we want bread without mentioning the charges. I know that all this sounds small, but there was absolutely nothing special about the bread to guarantee the additional fee."

"The food arrived cold, and although they replaced it, the new burgers were only slightly warmer. We ended up waiting an additional 15 minutes for them. To their credit, we weren't charged for the burgers. However, my wife couldn't finish her burger and some fries, and she wanted to take them home. The staff refused to provide a takeaway container, so the food was left behind and likely wasted. This is outrageous, especially with so many hungry people in the UK."

"Booked a table for 6 for and upon arrival we were shoved in the corner with 3 makeshift tables. 1 square table, 1 wobbly round table and 1 smaller round table. When addressed the situation to the staff they rudely had stated that other table of 6 was reserved which had confused me. If I’m making a reservation through OpenTable since when could you allocate a table to yourself? So I stated this to staff and their tone of voice changed and rudely stated ‘the table is reserved and we only have your allocated table’. So in HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT we agreed to sit at our allocated makeshift table. Moments later the other party had arrived only to find out, it was the staff members friends/family. Even when placing our food and drinks order, staff were rude and inattentive. Very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all."

Upon entering, I found the place to be quite calm, but I must say that both the food and service were excellent. It's a pity there wasn't a livelier atmosphere. "I visited this restaurant on February 14th for a lovely dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday on February 15th. They made a delightful vegetarian fry for two of my daughters upon request. The staff was very polite and helpful, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place. However, I do suggest expanding the kids' menu to include more vegetable options and creating a separate dessert menu for children, as the current options seem limited. Additionally, the steak could use a bit more variety, as it was boiled."

"The food was delicious and the cocktail was probably the best I have ever tasted! We went on a date night for my birthday and were enjoying ourselves until a large group of people sat down at a table right behind us. They were very loud, and when our waitress asked if everything was okay, I mentioned that the noise was a bit of a distraction. Without hesitation, they offered to move us to a quieter part of the restaurant. They were very accommodating and made sure we were happy with our new table. We had a lovely evening with just the two of us at a perfectly cozy table. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning, just a suggestion to pay attention to table placement. It's not rocket science."

He also offered to cook me something else, but by that point, my partner had already finished their meal so I declined. We ended the meal with a nice dessert to share. Overall, the atmosphere was good, the food was pretty good (apart from the fish), and the staff did well to handle the situation. However, I can only give it three stars because it was still a fairly expensive meal and I didn't even get to enjoy a full meal. The person at the table next to us had the same dish and didn't encounter any bones, so I suppose it was just bad luck on my part."
