"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"tapa edinburg 24/10/2015 the autumn is good and truly on us and it was crisp at night on Friday, as a food club on the ufer for some tapas in the fantastic looking tapa restaurant down on the ufer beaten. because of the size of our party we had to go with the group menu, but it was very reasonable and boasted a lot of everything they could ask and more. we started with a little broth and oil and this followed a beautiful crisp salad and then a selection of cold meat and cheese. the group menu allowed them to choose 2 main dishes tapas and with 7 people in the participation and 13 meat/fish dishes on the menu. we chose “all from above and an additional band”. service was fast and seamless and very friendly. while waiting for the first of the dishes, we talked about the beautiful interior of the restaurant and its in-house atmosphere. we also discussed our usual amount of müll and apologise for the others in the restaurant from our loudness, but we love a good laugh. I will be honest and say I'm late to finish this review and remember the exact details of the dishes is difficult, but what I can say is that they were all great. a special mention of the Pork jack and the chorizowurst. we have ordered more from an extended menu and I recommend the tempura garnel, a crispy golden crunch of joy. the sea bass was also a party on the palette. the night was finished with churros and chocolate sauce and I would have drunk happily a pint of warm, dark and silky accompaniment. we ordered some coffees and finished our alcoholic drinks before they departed to leith and back to the center. massive thanks to all in the food club for a great night with brilliant service and majestic dine unfortunately our November trip was postponed, but this month we will be west to glasgow and into the arisaig restaurant. Of course, as it is the festive season, it must be a little more laborious. food club twitter @wearefoodclub instagram – thefoodclub1"

"Been trying to get a booking here since our reservation in December was cancelled due to COVID and quite frankly we were utterly disappointed. Front of house werent very friendly. The ambience was nice very chic and lively however music volume was so loud so quite hard to hold a conversation. The waiter we had was outrageously rude. He put his hand up to me to slow down my ordering which I was going at at the pace of a snail anyway! It took 10minutes to order because apparently the system was slow and I had to repeat myself several times. We couldn't decide on garlic sauce or peppercorn and we were told abruptly and rudely which one is it guys . He also was speaking to the table behind us while taking our order and didn't apologise. He just overall had a slight attitude. Starter turned up before our drinks! Calamari batter was underseasoned but sauces and squid itself were nice. Steaks turned up and mine looked anaemic (no griddle lines looked almost poached) but somehow it was overcooked as I asked for medium rare but a medium steak turned up. My partner asked for medium well and his was pink! Again steaks were underseasoned. My chips were warmish but not piping hot. Steak knives were only brought over once the steaks were already present on the table. The loo had no loo roll I went in to 3 cubicles and absolutely nothing. Our reservation was for 2 hrs and we were out of there in an hour. Honestly I can't articulate how disappointed we were with the meal. The bill came to almost 200£ and I could get better service and delicious food at a high street restaurant for a 1/4 of the price. Clearly a place that focuses on ambience as opposed to quality of food. May give the Strand outlet one last chance but I will be sticking with Gaucho or Hawksmoor in the future."

"Christmas deserves a cracking night out, great company, scummy food, luscious drinks and laughs. This night started at the nearby Enigma Quests Escape room followed up by this Argentinean steakhouse. Initially we were surprised by the intimacy of the restaurant, but this made it more personal so not a problem. Starters of Empanadas (best starter) and also Grilled Octopus, which was unfortunately more chewy than I prefer, so maybe slightly over cooked, still great flavour though. Main courses of 350g Rump. 250g fillet and 400g churrasco Marinated fillet which were all cooked to perfection and amazingly delicious, yum!! Sauces of Red chimichurri, green chimichurri and peppercorn, great again. Sides of sauteed mushrooms (lovely), creamed spinach (oh yes, yummy). cowboy beans and 'hand cut ' chips, it is these chips that the 4 of us took note of. For hand cut chips, they looked too thin, more akin to fries and when served, contained small pieces of chips, very similar to when you empty a bought, bag of ready made chips. They were most certainly not thick cut, triple cooked chips you get in other up market steak houses. Puddings of Affogato very nice, Doulce de leche cheesecake unfortunately this wasn 't liked, it seemed bland, sticky toffee with vanilla ice cream had no flavour, not enough sauce, and chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream great texture very nice. The meal was accompanied by 2 bottles water, Gin lemonade and 2 bottles Recoleta Malbec. Total of £469 A point of note, is that this being a Saturday night within the 'City ' this restaurant was very quiet and so lacking some atmosphere, I 'm sure that this must be a saturday thing and during the week its probably buzzing."
