"On a Saturday afternoon, we arrived early at the restaurant and were met with a somewhat cold greeting. We placed our order and eagerly awaited our food. However, we found that the quality of the dishes was only average. My chicken curry was lacking in chicken, and my wife's lamb dish mostly consisted of bone and inedible gristle, with only a few bites of edible meat. Despite bringing our concerns to the waitress, it seemed to be ignored. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and do not intend on revisiting this establishment."

"that was our time to eat in ziya. my old son said it was his favorite restaurant after we had eaten the last time here, so we thought we would try to celebrate my man's birthday again. once again we had a wonderful meal and will definitely be very soon eating is absolutely beautiful, the ambiente in restaurant is great and the staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly."

"mixed bag, with some standout dishes and others that fall short of expectations. The restaurant has its strengths, but there are also areas where it doesn't quite measure up to the competition."

"The mixed grill was delightful, and I particularly appreciated that it included a Tiger Prawn. For a perfect five-star experience, the prawns need to be fresher, though. Unfortunately, the Sag Paneer was disappointing; it was just dry spinach with chunks of paneer, lacking any seasoning or additional ingredients. It was quite dry, so I might request some cream and garam masala on the side next time and mix it myself! The service was average for an Indian restaurant, deserving of three stars. The staff were friendly, and it was pleasant to dine there. It's great to see that the restaurant has significantly improved since our last visit a few years ago."

"We visited Jasmine last October and had a fantastic meal, but tonight was really disappointing. The starters were just mediocre; my chicken chaat tasted as if it had been repurposed from another dish, and the channa puri was bland and resembled overcooked chickpeas soaked in red sugar water. We had both of these dishes before, and they were delicious! Additionally, they didn’t seem to expect us, even though we had made a reservation for my mother's 70th birthday party through OpenTable."

"We ordered the Beetroot Carpaccio with feta, spinach, and walnuts, and requested it as a main course, which was accommodated without any issues. However, we were disappointed with the dish when it arrived at our table. It was lacking in flavor and had grated carrot, which was not listed on the menu. The feta and walnuts were barely noticeable, and the dish seemed to be mostly comprised of spinach, beetroot, and carrot - possibly cheaper ingredients. We were expecting chunks of feta and walnuts to add some more depth to the dish, but unfortunately, it fell flat and was underwhelming. My own dish was good, but it was missing sautéed potatoes. Overall, the experience was dampened by the disappointing dish. Additionally, we were charged for a small bottle of water, while other diners received a complimentary jug. It was our first time at the restaurant, so maybe we were just unlucky that night. On a positive note, the staff were fantastic, and the restaurant had a beautiful layout."

"Update 31/1/18: I've now been to the actual restaurant which is a nice modern space. Food was great as always, service a touch weird as the server was just very quiet. We have had takeaway from the Yak and Yeti several times (they deliver further if you phone the restaurant than if you try and order on Hungryhouse). They have a whole vegan section of the menu with over 20 dishes and so far we've tried about 10 and haven't been disappointed with any. All the dishes are very reasonably priced at around £6.95 for a curry dish and the vegan special fried rice and mushroom rices are excellent. With a vegan section to make it so easy, we don't bother trying to get curry anywhere else! Only thing to note is that when we order they often send a couple of free poppadoms and I think the generic green dip they send with it is (non-vegan) yogurty. "we were there at 31.12 to strengthen ourselves in front of our silvester. we were 7 people and it worked well from the service and the reservation overall well was the service very nice, but also a little stressed what is normal in an almost booked restaurant around silvester. it was occasionally forgotten a drink, but it came very fast when they said it was no longer bad. that was really good, I was totally excited. I said it shouldn't be sharp, and it was then that it didn't fade anyway, but really spicy. I liked it very well, my friends too. the price/performance ratio is great, it was really cheap. I will go back to"

"We had dinner on Weds 3rd August at Swadesh in Lordship Lane London as a wedding anniversary occasion with our two teenage children, who love Indian food. The dinner was delicious and I would thoroughly recommend the food. However, the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant was inauspicious a dull exterior, rather 'caf ' than 'cafe ' interior and we were the only customers. We would go again but think it was the wrong choice probably for a summer mid week evening!"

"It was a bit of a bummer that they were having a deep clean but there was no notice so you only got to know of it after you were seated... One consequence was that the lamb in my biryani was a little under cooked though the taste was very good. It wasn't cheap so It would be so so good, if their communication was clearer and they were a bit more careful in the kitchen. Better to tell a customer to change the order rather than serve undercooked lamb. But I want to say again that the taste was very good I just wished they had been more transparent about my food choice and I also wish they had half plate options for single diners. But all in all I would go again :"

"We wanted try Zayka as the reviews were so good. Best in Ealing etc etc. We were quite excited. However we were not wowed by the food or the restaurant. I would say this is very average Indian fayre with a hint of Nepalese and Goyan thrown in. Our menus were sticky from previous customers use which didnt bode too well. The Food was not particularly inspiring, restaurant table layout not the best for a comfortable evening out. Our waiter was clearly a newbie and really didnt know how to wait. Plates taken away before we had finished etc. Zayak is certainly not the best in Ealing and there are others that are better. We could see that a lot of customers were regulars and I guess very local and it seems that the restaurant relies heavily on this customer base. It all seemed abit tired and in need of some inspiration to attract a new breed and maybe generation of customer. Not bad but not brilliant."

"This was my first time visiting this restaurant, but it definitely won't be my last. A friend recommended it to me and I had an excellent dining experience. The food was delicious, with a wide selection on the menu to choose from. The drinks list was impressive, the decor was beautiful, and the staff were attentive. The restaurant manager was very pleasant, and as we were celebrating my friend's belated birthday, he surprised us with a complimentary glass of prosecco and a cake with a sparkler - a really nice touch. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and absolutely loved it."

"Special mention to Rahul, he was absolutely lovely and such a kind soul, he went above and beyond to ensure my sister’s graduation meal was comfortable and perfect. The buffet was so delicious and accessible, with a variety of both meat and vegetarian dishes which was exactly what my family and I were looking for. The drinks were so refreshing and tasty, I definitely recommend the Nojito! I don’t live in Manchester but whenever I do come back to this city, I’ll defo be visiting Sangam again, especially to see Rahul! Service was a perfect 10/10 xoxo"

"After a few years, I am pleased to say that the food quality at this restaurant is still quite good. I give it a full mark for consistency. The menu offers a simple mix of traditional favorites and specialty dishes. We tried the fried fish tendon and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable, given the current circumstances. Overall, we left satisfied and felt that our money was well spent. I would definitely recommend this place to those looking for a change from the usual Punjabi or Dosa dishes. Keep in mind that the seating is limited, so it might be a good idea to call ahead on busy days."
