"I am shocked that this restaurant, which had decent reviews when I made the reservation, was receiving terrible feedback by the time we visited. Unfortunately, those negative reviews turned out to be accurate. The service was lacking; there were plenty of staff members standing around chatting and laughing, but it took a long time for anyone to take our order. When our food finally arrived, we received only two out of the four plates we ordered, and the second two came at least 15 minutes later. The menu was uninspiring, but we preferred to eat in the hotel rather than go outside. We all opted for fish and chips, and while the chips were good and well-cooked, the fish was dry and flavorless. It seemed likely that the fish was either kept warm or simply reheated to order. The mushy peas were absolutely disgusting. Despite our hunger, we only managed to eat most of the chips, as the overall experience was disappointing, and I would not return. I am astonished that this restaurant, located in such a great spot in an iconic area of London, could be so subpar. This was meant to be a celebration for a special occasion, but the experience turned out to be incredibly disappointing and not something I wish to repeat."
