"I love falafel when they are done right, and believe me this place is spot on with the Falafel, Sauces, Salads etc. The Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They know what vegan is so when I said I wanted vegan meal, he offered to put everything on that was vegan, this was great because you don't need to keep asking the staff to double check if the food is vegan. There is free WiFi, which was a surprise but a terrific one. Plenty of seating. I have the Falafel Pita for £5 which is a great price. The Falafels were cooked to order, they were crispy (not greasy) and the centre was moist. The spices, and seasoning was perfect. I haven't had falafel like this since being in Amsterdam where the main street has amazing falafel shops. +The hummus delicious! +Chilli (not that spicy), and Coriander Sauce are Awesome +Pitta toasted great +Cabbage is reffreshing +Tomato, Cucumber, Parsley mix was fresh and vibrant Would Highly Recommend this restaurant to a vegan or vegetarian about Cheltenham looking for a great bite."

"I honestly don’t think we have ever had such nice food in our life’s!! We stayed over in the accommodation Saturday until Sunday we were very lucky to get a table for on the Saturday night and you do normally have to book that’s how good the place is. Also it shows how Lauren and her team will do anything to help and accommodate you! We had prawn cocktail to start my husband had a mushroom and cheese sauce both amazing then we had ribeye steak both cooked amazing… Sunday we loved the steak that much we had it again amazing.. this place is so so special, Lauren, Rachel, Lois.. and the team thank you so very much for accommodating us and looking after us through out…. Sorry if I was abit annoying I don’t get out much especially with the kids… I drink gin like it’s going out of fashion .. thank you all so much Money well spent! It was worth every penny…. Everyone needs a Durham ox in there life’s!!! And everyone needs people like you lot! Always happy.. always talk to people regardless of the time of day or night.. so kind lovely people!! And you will help anyone who asks… people like you are never forgotten! "Remarkable to find this restaurant in the middle of London in the 21st Century. Traditional vegan Japanese foods prepared imaginatively, delicious and served with grace and dedication. Ecologically sourced ingredients and in each dish underlying ethical principals. There were many choices in the menu which was a bit overwhelming nevertheless there is plenty of variety and meals for different tastes. I had tempura as part of my fare, an array of flavourful cooked and fermented delicacies and exquisite sushi with a mouth watering creamy sesame dessert. This is healing food that can be savoured and not rushed."

"what a wonderful meal. planning a special afternoon in butdeen would not have been complete without a nice meal. for the first time in a few years back to la lombarda I was pleased that it was all as good as I remember if not even better! a friendly reception and a great service was a fantastic supplement to the beautiful eating we had. we had to treat children and allergies in our group, and the staff took all this in their struggle with a smile. such a beautiful alternative to all known eye roles when they enter some other farms in the union street with children. two beautiful pizzas were inhaled by the children, while the adults were filled after bowling the beautiful handmade pasta. we'll be back soon. "I don't normally do reviews, but this place was a disaster. We went in with a group of 6. They can't split checks so we sat as 2 tables of 3. Table 1 ordered and they sent it to the kitchen. The waitress came back and took Table 2's order. Table 1 had ordered a couple starters. Table 2's food showed up quickly and we insisted they eat without us. They finished their meal while Table 1 sat with no food. About 30 minutes after we ordered our starters showed up. Then another 20 minutes past with nothing. We ran out of time and asked to have our meals boxed. That took another 10 minutes. The place seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers and I'm sure they were just punishing us for asking to split the ticket. Plus, they were fairly rude about the whole situation. This is a huge shame because last year we ate here with no issues and convinced our friends to go with us this time. Never again."

"Great small cafe with the usual sandwich menu but in addition had an Indonesian menu. Our desire for a simple sandwich evaporated once we saw the quality of latter We both had curry, one beef and one chicken. The quality, quantity and presentation were excellent. The flavours were distinct and very enjoyable. This was a real surprise. Cakes look lovely too but we were just too full and will return to try anothertime Good friendly staff"

"We visited as a group of 12, booked in April and pre orders given to restaurant several days before visit. Service was extremely slow with no apology given. Hot starters served on hot plates on bed of rocket which meant the rocket was completely wilted and inedible. Half of main courses delivered approx 20 minutes before remainder came out. One portion of seabass was so hard it couldn't be cut and was sent back no replacement as they had run out of seabass. Mushroom Risotto was dry, bland and all stuck together plus mushrooms were bordering on slimy. Chicken curry was bland and pre cooked shredded chicken only edible part of dish was poppadom. One burger was dropped as it left kitchen and replacement, although offered to be only a few minutes away, took nearly 30 minutes and bun was rock hard. Roast potatoes on one dish had absolutely no colour to them and looked more like boiled. Two of us didn't even bother to stay for desserts and refused to pay for main courses. We never really received any apology for the bad service and meals. We were told they had staffing issues, but customers arriving after us ate and left before our main courses even arrived. Sorry, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"The restaurant is lovely, light and airy with plenty to look at. The food is excellent. I had the watermelon and feta salad my husband the broccoli soup. Both were excellent. For seconds I had the pork belly my husband fish and chips. We thought a whale had landed the piece of fish was that large. Again beautifully cooked. Desert was delicious, chocolate brownie, strawberry cheese cake and salted caramel cake. Yum. Only complaint is the menu on the website is totally different to the menu we were given. Hence why my husband ended up with posh fish and chips. However, this didn't really detract from a very nice meal."

"Great food. Music a bit too much for a nice quiet dinner… the target is probably mid to mid but prices fairly high for that target! Excellent delicious food, highly recommend if you’re looking for something unconventional. To the management : tables are still relatively close to each other for the staff to spray the tables with cleaning products from distance while neighbouring tables full of food and people eating near by. Also your reception staff a bit untrained. We had a reservation vis opentable but were told rudely is not in the system. I showed the reservation on my phone only to be told “ oh you just made it ago!” I said no, i made it days ago. Arguing and being rude is not a good start."

"let them do the fact that it is in a cellar, to turn it off. plundering are deceptive and this is a magical place. inside it is quite cozy but full of character. more to the point that eating is from this world. one of the best meals I've ever had. the steak was cooked exactly on request and was really tasteful and delicate. had a light panic, as waiter thought her pistachios cheese cake was ready, but checked and found a disc for me....absolute heaven . I just wanted it to have eaten there and then again. coffee was hot .another bonus. I wish I found this place earlier. btw .management her waiter is a bad one. hold him tight! will definitely be back."

"Nice place with fun decor a DJ over brunch which gave it a good atmosphere. The girl at reception was really helpful. The quality of the food was good and well presented but the portions very small. Although the brunch included a bottomless glass of prosecco I would rather pay for things separately to have more food and just pay for the booze that I wanted as after it I was a bit hungry although quite merry"

"The food here is fabulous. The place is only let down by the service. My 3 stars are for the chef and their team in the kitchen. We had a seafood platter to start which had some amazing tastes. The best thing on that platter being the smoked mackerel pate. For mains I had the lamb burger with goats cheese and my husband had the pie of the day (chicken and tarragon) both bursting with flavour and beautifully cooked. All the food eaten was excellent value for money. The decor here is quirky love the bottle covered ceiling. Seating is nicely arranged. This place should be getting 5 stars every time if it were not for the staff serving. Numerous times we had to try and get the attention of the numerous young ladies serving. They were so busy chatting that we would have to go to the bar to pay as none of them were looking up to notice numerous people putting their hands up to get service. The room too was getting quite cold before we left. I thought it was the large gap under the fire exit near our table, but it would turn out to be the door to the beer garden that was wide open that was making everyone near it put on their coats (luckily we were sat quite a way from it). If the staff had been paying attention they would surely have closed the door. Some staff training would go a long way in this restaurant. I’m sure ourselves and others would have spent a lot more on drinks and food if we’d been able to get served and had the place been warm enough with the simple closure of a door."

"We have ordered in an easy and relaxed manner, no rush from the staff at all , Iliyan the manager and Saima our waiter were very helpful with my allergy , she is an amazing waiter making our stay very pleasant, answered my friend’s questions about the food ! The manager is an amazing person , ensuring we were well looked after . I have been asking him the name of the person who sitted us , he informed me that her name is Daday , the kindest person ever , although very busy she asked us how we are and had a chat until seated . "Birthday Treat On 14/08/24 I family and a friend attended here. I gave my name to Daniella and she said our friend was waiting downstairs. I was wearing on my head a happy birthday head band. My name saying happy birthday was not put up on the screen. Later Daniella approached me and asked if I gave my name and I said yes I asked why my name and happy birthday was not on the screen. She said she will put it up after several hours it was not up and I told the lady manager that I was disappointed with the appalling customer service and will not pay service charge. She said ok. I asked if there were any complementary dessert for the birthday person and I was told I have to buy my own dessert. My family member bought the dessert and I told the restaurant that I cannot have milk however, when the dessert came it contained milk. The lady manager came and said oh you dessert with a candle contains milk and it was taken away and gave me another without milk. When the final bill was presented service charge was still added. The chef Edele was excellent and very respectful. My happy birthday greeting with my name was on the screen when we were ready to go home. I would not return to this restaurant again because of bad customer service,disrespectful to me and ruin my birthday."

"This historic coaching hotel dates back to 1470 and was lovingly restored in the course of the years. I cannot comment personally on the hotel aspect, but the guests seem to appreciate the individuality of the rooms. have been in the small bar area a few times and it has a nice homely/cosy feeling, it. also here twice breakfast, after work for a charity over night! what I have always noticed is the friendliness of the staff that is a good management institution. would definitely recommend, friends who visit the opposite."
