"I ordered a vegetarian pizza with pineapple and jalapenos, but had to repeat my order multiple times. When I went to collect the pizza, I had to repeat my order even more. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that they had given me a chicken and pepperoni pizza instead. When I called to complain, the person on the phone was unapologetic and only offered to give me an extra pizza on my next visit. I ended up being out 12 pounds and without the pizza I wanted. Overall, the experience was disappointing and I felt like they were not taking my order seriously."

"We visited La Lombarda for a special meal, having not been in years and had good experiences. However, this was not a great experience. It was quiet with 6 tables (at most). We waited over 30 minutes for our starters which were an antipasti and bruschetta. My bruschetta was just chopped tomatoes on garlic bread.... Have had better in chain Italian restaurants. My calzone was cold in the middle and very poorly made. My husband's pizza was very average. Again, we waited over 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared and no one checked or asked how we found the food. We only got our plates cleared because we called someone over to ask for the bill. The prices are high and for the quality of food, they are out right atrocious. Considering the competition of other Italian restaurants in Aberdeen, La Lombarda doesn't even compete, unfortunately. It is such ashame as it has been a staple in Aberdeen's city centre for so many years but has gone downhill considerably since I last visited."

"This is gonna be long one but boy she is worth it!! This is by far my new favourite restaurant. Did we drive 1.5 hrs to try this place? Yes. Did we do it a second time because they blew my mind? Also, yes. This adorable place located in Anglesey, Wales, had great reviews and the photos people shared online were just… mouthwatering. The first time I tried it, the seafood platter for two, extra lemon butter prawns and chips and the dessert trio delicious fruity drinks on the side. I have always refused to eat mussels because of the look and smell. Well I tried these and ate multiple. The calamari was tender and tasty, the prawn on toast was light and refreshing, the bream was fresh and fishy, the fried fish was flaky and crispy at the same time. I was obsessed immediately. The dessert trio was a snickers trio, a spiced caked and orange ice cream and crème brûlée. Each equally perfect. Zero. Complaints. Trip 2 we went in for the roast dinner. While not as awe inspiring to me as the seafood, the portions were fantastic, the variety of foods meant I never got bored and was always trying new combinations. The cheese starter was rich and decadent. Almost too much so but two was plenty for me. But the greatest part… the peach and raspberry dessert. I don’t have the words to describe.. I was overly full and feeling quite heavy from eating more than my body was wanting me to … when the dessert came out. OMG… it was light and airy, creamy but rich, sweet but tangy. Chunks of real peach hidden at the bottom. It was one of those moments when you just know… you’ve eaten one of the best things of your entire life. Catch 22 is a family run restaurant (I didn’t know at the time) that is always busy and no wonder. The service was great, the staff were lovely, the food was out of this world. The next time I’m in the UK I am making the trek over, no question about it. Hell I might even fly over just to go there. 10/10 absolutely incredible. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu someday."

"this is the 2nd time I visited Saray, last time was after 1st lockdown before X'Mas. We had this time 2 soups mains. My wife liked chicken soup very much that it used fresh chicken, mine was lentil which was very thick and rich. An important tip is to add lemon juice that it kicked up the taste100%. Portion of mains were more than enough for both of us, one was lamb and the other chicken. Lamb moussaka had a top layer which was made of cheese potato (I guess), minced lamb etc; Chicken casserole was a little overcooked that meat was quite chewy, though both were very tasteful. I will visit again for other dishes."

"I ate here as part of my work Christmas meal. eating was good and there are many vegan options and variety. I had the Jackfruit pizzeria that was really nice. asked for extra toppings, but not getting, but that wasn't too big a problem. everything vegan comes with a special “vegan” sticker that is beautiful when it order a few of them (4) and makes them comfortable to the kitchen staff and waiter know what they do. even almost all their wee are vegan, which is fantastic. also a few options for dessert that were not all sorbet! it is nice to see a chain that strives to offer decent and interesting vegan options. I'd probably visit again."

"The front of the restaurant on Argyle Street may be understated, but the interior is quite pleasant with a conservative and classic decor that complements the menu and service well. The menu is extensive and features a great wine selection. The dishes are beautifully presented and well cooked, with a delightful mix of flavors and textures that evoked memories of dining in Florence. The service is attentive yet not intrusive, catering perfectly to my preference to focus solely on my companion. I highly recommend trying the steak Diane."

"We ordered the sharing roast for 5 people, £28pp which we at first thought was a little bit steep, but when the food comes out and you see how much you get, and the flavours … it is so worth it. Other roast options are also available and would be equally as delicious. The food is to die for, so much that we are taking home 3 tubs of leftovers! The meat is melt in your mouth, you get pork belly, beef done medium and chicken with crispy skin. Yorkshire puddings which are clearly made fresh as well as fluffy roast potatoes. Tons of veg, roasted and chantenay carrots, kale, parsnips, cabbage, and lots of it too. My personal favourite was the cauliflower cheese, absolutely ****** amazing…. You rarely get enough gravy when you go out for a roast, but this came with two full additional boats of hot gravy, which was clearly reduced down for hours! Best roast I have ever had, 1000% coming back!!"

"Booked for dinner with my partner and two friends and we had such a lovely evening. We were served by our waitress Ebony and waiter Dean. They were absolutely fantastic and worked so well together ensuring we did not have to wait for anything. They were very observant and asked if we needed another drink when ours were almost empty. There was not a large wait time on food and we felt that we had enough time between our starters and main to enjoy each other’s company. We had calamari , garlic bread and a fondues for starters. The garlic bread was incredible and the calamari and fonduta certainly did not disappoint. For mains my partner had the sticky pig pizza and we were surprised by the generous sizing of the pizza! The rest of us had pasta and my carbonara was the best I have had. We only got two desserts and shared them because the portions are huge! We had the honeycomb cheese cake and the chocolate brownie Sundae and both were to die for. The service and food were 10/10 . We honestly could not find anything to fault. A huge thankyou to everyone at Zizzi for a lovely evening. We cannot wait to return."

"I had a truly special date night at the restaurant last night. I had been fishing during the day, and I must say, it was the best fish I've ever tasted. It was topped with mussels and calamari, all elegantly presented in a delicious white wine sauce. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating; they even changed my wine when I didn't like the one I initially chose. I can't wait for my next visit!"

"We visited as a group of 12, booked in April and pre orders given to restaurant several days before visit. Service was extremely slow with no apology given. Hot starters served on hot plates on bed of rocket which meant the rocket was completely wilted and inedible. Half of main courses delivered approx 20 minutes before remainder came out. One portion of seabass was so hard it couldn't be cut and was sent back no replacement as they had run out of seabass. Mushroom Risotto was dry, bland and all stuck together plus mushrooms were bordering on slimy. Chicken curry was bland and pre cooked shredded chicken only edible part of dish was poppadom. One burger was dropped as it left kitchen and replacement, although offered to be only a few minutes away, took nearly 30 minutes and bun was rock hard. Roast potatoes on one dish had absolutely no colour to them and looked more like boiled. Two of us didn't even bother to stay for desserts and refused to pay for main courses. We never really received any apology for the bad service and meals. We were told they had staffing issues, but customers arriving after us ate and left before our main courses even arrived. Sorry, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"I love falafel when they are done right, and believe me this place is spot on with the Falafel, Sauces, Salads etc. The Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They know what vegan is so when I said I wanted vegan meal, he offered to put everything on that was vegan, this was great because you don't need to keep asking the staff to double check if the food is vegan. There is free WiFi, which was a surprise but a terrific one. Plenty of seating. I have the Falafel Pita for £5 which is a great price. The Falafels were cooked to order, they were crispy (not greasy) and the centre was moist. The spices, and seasoning was perfect. I haven't had falafel like this since being in Amsterdam where the main street has amazing falafel shops. +The hummus delicious! +Chilli (not that spicy), and Coriander Sauce are Awesome +Pitta toasted great +Cabbage is reffreshing +Tomato, Cucumber, Parsley mix was fresh and vibrant Would Highly Recommend this restaurant to a vegan or vegetarian about Cheltenham looking for a great bite."

"I honestly don’t think we have ever had such nice food in our life’s!! We stayed over in the accommodation Saturday until Sunday we were very lucky to get a table for on the Saturday night and you do normally have to book that’s how good the place is. Also it shows how Lauren and her team will do anything to help and accommodate you! We had prawn cocktail to start my husband had a mushroom and cheese sauce both amazing then we had ribeye steak both cooked amazing… Sunday we loved the steak that much we had it again amazing.. this place is so so special, Lauren, Rachel, Lois.. and the team thank you so very much for accommodating us and looking after us through out…. Sorry if I was abit annoying I don’t get out much especially with the kids… I drink gin like it’s going out of fashion .. thank you all so much Money well spent! It was worth every penny…. Everyone needs a Durham ox in there life’s!!! And everyone needs people like you lot! Always happy.. always talk to people regardless of the time of day or night.. so kind lovely people!! And you will help anyone who asks… people like you are never forgotten! "We booked a special birthday lunch here, having seen some good reviews. We were shown to the ballroom, where the flowers on the table were dead!! We were then given a bar menu of small plates. When we asked for the lunch menu, we were told that they were not running lunch today, as they had a large booking in the evening. We booked in advance and the day before, we had an email asking us to reconfirm our booking, which we did. The restaurant didn’t bother to warn us in advance despite having told them it was a special birthday lunch. Appalling service, so we left and ate elsewhere, at the White Hart in Fyfield, where we had a wonderful meal"
