"It's my second time here and I got disappointed for the second time. The food is below average and the prices are fairly high for what you get. The service is very poor, it took us a long time til we got the waiter to take our orders and a ridiculously long time to get our bill and pay. We ordered water with our order and we didn't end up getting any. On top of that, they add 12.5% service charge to the bill for the worst service charge at a vegan place you'd ever get. Not a single time someone has come up to ask how's everything. At the very end the waiter supposedly saw that we weren't very happy so he tried to bribe us with a portion of ice cream. Never coming back."

"This is now called Gwersyllt Takeaway having dropped the Zilan from the name and changed hands Evwrything about premises is the same. Similar menu etc. Id like to say its improvef but on todays efforts i couldnt honestly say that. Today i had large doner meat n chips. Price £7.80. I realise things have gone up. HOwever im use to meat from doner being tripped /cut off with a certain width and thickness of slice. But this offering was slithers of doner mean barely a centimeter width and thickness of just over a milimeter. It would do justice to a skin graft such was the thiness ... When this is heaped onto the chips,it may look a lot but you find its not..far from it and not worth the £7.80 price. So will i go there again... fraid not"

"In the UK culinary scene, it is unfortunately common to find two-star restaurants charging five-star prices. This particular restaurant, located in the countryside of Monmouthshire, follows this trend. While the menu initially shows promise, the dishes turn out to be bland and unexciting. The prices at the end of the meal are far from reasonable, leaving diners with a bill that is not in line with the quality of the food."

"we came here for a family lunch on our way to a weekend away together. The landlady was very friendly, beer was good and so was the food. She even altered one of the menu items to suit one of our party, so really accommodating."

"Ohhhhh! Yes they are! So, basically I took the train from Birmingham to Edinburgh just to take a selfie outside Edinburgh castle (long story, wont bore you with it). Anyway, with said selfie in the can and with just under two hours left till the...train home I happened upon this rather non-descript looking bar in Market St. The place appeared to be full of backpackers (which made perfect sense as I later discovered there was a hostel next door) and was a bit dark and dingy looking. However, taking selfies is hungry work and they had burgers so why not. Anyway, the girl behind the bar was lovely and helpful so after asking for a recommendation I ordered the ‘Highland Cow’ (6oz burger with Haggis and Monterey Jack cheese) and a pint of ale infused lager. First of all I should say that I was very very hungry but this burger really hit the mark. The chips only looked like regular French fries but they were really well seasoned with salt and crushed black pepper and together with the whiskey cream sauce were absolutely awesome! The burger was also well cooked and together with the Haggis tasted greeeeeaaat! The ale/lager was really very nice too and was a good recommendation so all in all enjoyable meal. In summary I was pleasantly rewarded with some excellent service, satisfying burger and a delicious pint so two thumbs up to all the staff at Jake’s Place"

I highly recommend trying the Classy Chicken Burger, The Hot Chick, and the El Chapo Burger – they are all exceptional choices. The food is top-notch, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is delightful. A perfect spot for a satisfying dinner!"

"Usually unable to fault the food here, but very disappointed tonight as our meals were blighted by frozen fries, not even what I would call chips, despite the gammon and beer battered cod being advertised in the menu as being served with rustic chips. We pay enough for the food, prices have nearly doubled here, but come on…if you charge £18 for a cod meal, or £19 for a 10oz gammon steak meal, I expect the quality to carry through to the chips you advertise on your menu. We were not warned that rustic chips were not available and that we would have to make do with cheap frozen chips. How can you advertise one thing and then sell well short? Sort it out please. Serve what you promise on your menu, bot just what you feel you can get away with!"

"This was a Takeaway meal and was really looking forward to it, so when I got it home and the onion rings looked like they were from the day before and the chunky chips looked like they had been left in the fryer way too long I was very disappointed, it wasn't that hot and the Cajun chicken wings were not that nice, my main meal Beef Stroganoff was ok but again not very hot, And to top it off you can not pay by card, cash only, with what's going on at the moment you would think that they wouldn't want to be handling money and food at the same time, wont be going back"

"Not just fish and chips here, several other dishes to choose from, and good choices too. Food always plentiful, well cooked, tasty and hot. Friendly staff, and great coffee, main cafe area and cooking area scrupulously clean. Only one downside ... The customer toilet always smells of cigarette smoke which is very off-putting. Perhaps a smoke detector installation would stop this happening, along with a No Smoking sign like those in every other eating establishment in the UK!"

"I thought i would try this place for a pizza and some extras and from the 1st minute was treated politely,Ordered a couple of 12 inch pizzas, some chips and garlic mushrooms. The lady taking the order told me it would be 15 mins and low and behold it was 15 mins which considering just how busy they was with deliveries and phone orders was very accurate. Onto the food, each pizza came with a small tub or dip which was good, chip had some sort of amazing spice on which made them chiplicious and the garlic mushrooms very nice for a takeaway. Food all very hot and the owner Dana very friendly, all in all a very nice place."

"This is a family-owned pub and restaurant that we visited twice during our trip. The second visit was to the restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed. Despite the large menu, the food was outstanding - expertly prepared and presented, with a homemade touch. The menu descriptions fall short in capturing how delicious the dishes truly are. We would highly recommend trying this place out."

"Warm welcome from staff, booked a table. Nice atmosphere and decor food was well presented and very tasty, first time trying authentic German cuisine, would certainly return to try other food on the menu as we made a faux pas by ordering a Jagerschnitzel and Classic Schnitzel each, they were so big we could of shared one between us. Serving staff were very helpful and moved us to another table after a larger than expected noisy table arrived next to us, we were also given take out containers to take the leftovers home, need to go back to try other foods."

"**Round One – Tequeños (Deep-Fried Cheese Sticks)** This was perhaps the most exciting round, especially because we were presented with two distinctly different sauces. The first was Guasacaca’s signature sauce, made from avocado but with a lighter consistency perfect for dipping. The spicy cheese sticks paired with this sauce were a true savory delight! Then, we tried the plain cheese sticks with a sugar cane and orange sauce, transforming them into an indulgent sweet treat. I love how versatile and incredibly addictive these cheese sticks are! **Round Two – Yuca Frita (Cassava Fries with Guasacaca and Habanero Chili Sauce)** **Tostones (Crispy Plantain Cups Filled with Shredded Beef, Pico de Gallo, and Llanero Cheese)** All I can say is that these sides completely outshine the typical chips and salad! The cassava fries were remarkably thick—almost as hefty as a croquette rather than a chip—and they were wonderfully salty, leaving you wanting more. The tostones were beautifully crispy plantain cups filled with succulent beef and were absolutely delicious. **Round Three – Arepas (Stuffed Gluten-Free Corn Pockets)** We opted for the £16 selection, which includes four smaller arepas, allowing us to sample all the fillings! The options included shredded chicken, shredded beef, roasted pork leg, or the vegetarian choice of black beans, fried plantain, and llanero cheese. What I truly love about arepas is their crispy outer layer and fluffy inside. Each filling was bursting with flavor, making it easy to enjoy every last bite. As a Londoner, I feel compelled to promote Venezuelan cuisine. It deserves to be celebrated as much as Mexican, Thai, Indian, and other beloved global cuisines in the UK. With such a diverse menu overflowing with flavor, you’re sure to find something you’ll love!"

"I work at Clearanswer Call Centres in Hull, we recently took part in Sport Relief taking the donation calls and fundraising on the night. Our volunteers were delighted that they could all enjoy Papa John's pizza courtesy of you! Papa John's Anlaby Road donated so many pizza's in order to help our volunteers do the best job they could! Thank you so much for your generosity! Definitely would recommend."

"While we didn’t indulge, they have an impressive tap system with around 24 different beers, which alone might bring me back. I started with the mozzarella sticks appetizer, which were just your standard fried cheese sticks you’d find in the frozen section at the grocery store. The dipping sauce had great flavor but was a little too thin for my taste; I prefer a thicker marinara for dipping. Nevertheless, we finished them all. I was in the mood for a good burger, so I ordered the James Brown and Blue burger, topped with grilled onions, crumbled blue cheese, and bacon. It was cooked to a perfect medium, just as I requested, and really hit the spot. The hand-cut fries were crispy and reminded me of fair fries, especially once I added ketchup, salt, and malt vinegar. My wife opted for the Philly cheesesteak, which she found impressive and tasty. The prices are slightly higher than those at similar places, but not enough to deter me. Overall, it’s a nice little spot, and I’m glad I decided to give it a try."

"Ordered online via justeat. Within 10 minutes, I received a call asking me for my phone number; so I asked for confirmation that they had received the order and had the delivery address which they confirmed they did. The girl on the phone asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager/ supervisor repeatedly asked for my phone number without any explanation as to why they needed it (probably so they can harass me with marketing text messages) other than “we need it for the order”. I declined to provide it, so he asked if I still wanted the order which I confirmed I did. The order then arrived over 1 hour after the order was placed, only for the driver to then say he had the wrong order and said he’d need to return to the shop (which is less than 2 miles away) and collect the correct order. Finally, around 20 minutes later the driver returned with the correct order apologising. The order was over £47.00 and other than an apology from the driver who appeared flustered and busy, there was a no discount for the inconvenience. It would have been cheaper and less hassle to visit a restaurant. Takeaway is meant to be more convenient."
