"So there I am, on a beautiful warm Sunday, sitting at home by myself. Impossible. I decide that I need to go out ASAP and just do something. And what’s better than treating myself to a nice lunch. Yes, I’m one of those people that doesn’t mind eating by herself and, in fact, loves it. I started walking down Upper Street, without any clue as to where to sit down. The reason why I chose Blue Legume, was simply because of the open front seemed like exactly what I was looking for. Decided to go for an egg white omelette and the Spirulina smoothie. Omelette was light and exactly as it should be, but I think I was more grateful for the potatoes that came along with it very very well seasoned. I was, however, completely blown away by the smoothie love the fact that it was green, not too sweet and so refreshing. Wouldn’t mind having it on a daily basis. I finished all of that pretty quickly and since I didn’t want to just head back home, I had a second look at the menu and finally found another excuse to stay. Ordered the apple crumble and some coffee to get rid of the sleepiness that was about to hit me. Nothing out of the ordinary here, except the fact that the crumble, was clearly microwaved. Was initially disappointed, but somehow it didn’t ruin my experience. Staff was very nice and receptive, no issues there, and unlike most times when I go for a meal by myself, there were no awkward stares. I felt pretty comfortable and happy after the entire meal, and that’s why I was back 2 weeks later with a friend for more. Would happily visit over and over again."

"Interesting Italian restaurant, the idea is that you order food at a counter and have it made fresh in front of you. The staff were very friendly and nice. But the downside of the model is that you do spend a lot of time standing around waiting for your food, whereas you may prefer to be able to sit down if you've been walking around a lot. It was nice to have such fresh pasta prepared in front of me though. If you order a pizza you do get a buzzer to take back to your table."

My fiance and I shared a barbecue chicken pizza and a calzone — the calzone was okay but rather unremarkable (especially for the price), but the pizza was just awful: far too salty, barely any trace of proper barbecue, and without any exaggeration at all the chicken bits tasted of fish instead of actual chicken. Did not want to cause any fuss so I didn 't bother speaking to a manager after being offered the option after giving feedback — this is the first and last time I 'll be dining here."

"Great service here, we were a tad bit early but that wasn't a problem, we were seated and served very quickly and politely. The starter was excellent drinks too were all served quickly. We had a pizza main course which was delicious and well presented. One of us had a dessert as the starter and main was such a generous size. The restaurant is warm and friendly and clean it was nice to see that they still offered hand sanitizer at the table which my friends were happy about). The menu was small but perfect offering a variety of starters, mains and desserts for all pallets. There were 6 of us on a Saturday night. We all had different starters of which mine, the avocado and prawns was big, the prawns fresh and meaty and the sauce was a plenty. My husband had the monk fish tempura which he said was very tasty. Out of 6 of us 4 of us had the steaks on the hot stone A MUST. Delicious!! The waitress was very keen to explain how the meat continues to cook on the stone so ensured we asked for the meat finish we wanted ensuring that the steak didn't over cook. There was a slight misunderstanding between the kitchen and the order ie a few side dishes were incorrect. Before we could even say anything to be honest it was fine) the waitress said all sides would be free I mean that was so kind of her and made us very happy. All sides including the potatoes and veg were delish and the other 2 who had veal were also very happy. I must admit we were stuffed and couldn't manage desserts but they did sound and look lovely. "Imagine, four adults and three kids (all under 10) rock up after winning 1800 tickets at the arcade and then then fancying some scran. The youngest and eldest were both hangry. Sad times. We gave Prezzo a bell and they said they’d take us in despite my dismal displays (I didn’t get over 100 even with the rails up for bowling). The geezer took us all in even though we had excitable adults and served us in no time. Thankfully, there was a Geordie geezer who we all understood and he was a legend. He humoured us and was patient. Funny ‘n’ all. Had a full on meal and we were pushing it to get our train. Of course, someone wanted pudding. The geordie legend sorted us out in seconds and got the lollies sorted. I’d have given a massive tip if I hadn’t have spent a small fortune trying to get a sloth from a claw machine"

"Booked a table for 6 for and upon arrival we were shoved in the corner with 3 makeshift tables. 1 square table, 1 wobbly round table and 1 smaller round table. When addressed the situation to the staff they rudely had stated that other table of 6 was reserved which had confused me. If I’m making a reservation through OpenTable since when could you allocate a table to yourself? So I stated this to staff and their tone of voice changed and rudely stated ‘the table is reserved and we only have your allocated table’. So in HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT we agreed to sit at our allocated makeshift table. Moments later the other party had arrived only to find out, it was the staff members friends/family. Even when placing our food and drinks order, staff were rude and inattentive. Very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all."
