"(ordered at driver left in the pizza arrived there is a min drive away the filiale) I decided to use my free pizza code that I was given after my last order was very cold and I contacted papajohns via fb messenger....Sadly this order was exactly the same as the previous one. So I called the filiale and spoke to the manager who was terrible, unfriendly and rude! I live mile from the filiale, it took minutes to get to eat and as it was hardly warm again. the driver did not give me the items from a thermo bag and the manager went on to inform me the conditions “not guarantee a hot pizza” and that he “not to say sorry for” his attitude for a load manager was disgusting! I am telling myself that the mile trip could take this long due to temporary traffic lights. that there is no btw I know the opposite, it is quiet, it is on a Saturday night. the weather is not bad. he told me that his drivers only command one?. for an order the driver takes mins for a mile ride! wow! long night for customers. and zero crash for the drivers through the noises of it, as they are docked for too slow! he further undermined me, talked about me, told me he had no reason to apologize and that he had done everything he could. that was nothing! papa johns is my favorite pizza, I don't want to order from anywhere else. So if I do, it's a tasty bite. because I could always go cheaper, but that was throwing me away good and really! he was perhaps the worst manager I met and didn't help me or apologize, behave disgusting! second order I had to put in the future directly in the many. read various reviews on trustpilot, travel adviser and even on actually employees it seems as if this guy has a serious recruitment problem and should get some training on the way with customers or never on the phone! I'll never use these industries again."

"Today we went for lunch and were extremely pleased with our meal and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was also a special birthday lunch for my wife, which I mentioned in my booking but didn't expect anything from it. The staff greeted us and wished my wife a happy birthday. At the end of our meal, when we ordered coffee, they surprised us with a brownie with cream and a candle, and even sang happy birthday to my wife. It was a lovely touch."

"My family has been regular customers at Papa J's in Ashford since it first opened. We have always appreciated the fast and reliable delivery, as well as the great online deals and variety of veggie, vegan, and base options. We have found Papa J's to be more to our liking than other national pizza chains. However, in recent weeks, we have noticed a decline in the quality of the pizza. Our last two orders were disappointing - soggy, greasy, and unappetising. The pizza boxes were so greasy that we couldn't even recycle them, and the cheese and toppings kept sliding off. The thin crust was particularly unpleasant, and even after days in the fridge, we couldn't bring ourselves to finish the leftovers because they just weren't very good. The only saving grace was the garlic butter dip. It is with regret that I write this review, but after these experiences, we have decided to explore other options in the takeaway market. We tried a local independent pizzeria and were much more satisfied. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Papa J's."

"Ideal for a quick family dinner when having a little get together. The food we ordered was very nice, the cheese had a lovely flavour compared to other pizza chains like dominoes etc. It wasn't overly greasy. The chicken wings were a hit enjoyed by all. We had a two different varieties of pizza, one vegetarian one meat both delicious. The stuff crust in particular was yummy, the dough was really soft. We used one of the offers. Fed 4 of is happily for £30 we had loads left. We opted for delivery it was quick, food arrived hot. Delivery man was very nice"

"We decided that we wanted pizza for our evening meal . Web site was pretty straight forward to use . We live miles away and they don't deliver to us . So off o go to pick it up . First there is people working there or should I say standing around opening the boxes that were waiting for pick up or delivery . different people opened one pizza box with in min . There were people making pizza then everyone but the making pizzas go out to smoke but they argue about it and the making the pizza stand there and start bad mouthing everyone else. As the workers come back in and proceed to touch everything and NO ONE WASHED THEIR HANDS . Not going to go their anymore ."

"Forgot half my order. Lied to me saying he would go get it. 25 minutes later I called the restaurant and the phone operator lied to me saying the driver was already on his way, which he told me with attitude. Over 2 hours from the delivery time I called again to be immediately hung up on. How difficult is it to read the top two items on the order receipt? Seriously disappointed by the lack of customer service. I really despise franchise businesses now, they allow people to take the **** out of customers while being protected by a whole bunch of by-laws and website pages giving you the run around trying to avoid complaints and refunds. It’s disgusting and you’re really disrespectful for doing it. Lying to my face is one thing, but then knowing you work for less an hour than what you owe me, but not willing to give up that hours wage for anyone, it’s kinda funny. It’s totally fine for me to lose an hour of my life, but if I demanded it from them I wouldn’t get it. Sort your business out; it’s already bad enough you’ve been dodging tax."

"Been a client for 3+years now and the quality of the food, the service and overall experience is getting worse and worse with every order. Ordered through the app for collection and paid, got confirmation email that is being processed and there was no issues. 15 mins later went to collect the order no one said anything to us so we left. The moment we got home i got a very rude phone call why i have collected without paying and i should go back and pay. First the order won’t go through them if it haven’t been paid, second even if it did why no one said anything on collection and third the order was messed up. Had the bank statement ready as they said they will have to call again and investigate?? Never again, also the pizzas have been so greasy lately, garlic bread burnt, cold sides.. The quality is not worth the prices."

"Had a not so good experience ordering from here. I wanted to try the new vegan pizza and sides but it was cold and soggy by the time it got to me. I ordered olives on the pizza and there was genuinely one olive per slice on a large size. The caulliflower wings were overcooked on the inside and soggy on the outside. Pretty disappointed considering those two items came to £25!"

"My experience at this restaurant was not great. We ordered 2 pizzas, 3 sides, and a drink, but unfortunately, they forgot to deliver the pizzas. The delivery driver offered no apology, just saying he would be back in 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, I had to call to inquire about our order and was told that the driver had already left 5 minutes ago, even though we live only 5 minutes away! Eventually, the pizzas were delivered, but they were not fresh - it was clear they had been made for the first delivery and reheated in the microwave before reaching us. I was really disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. I won't be returning, as there are plenty of other pizza places in St Albans to choose from."

"Not what you'd expect for £28 for 2 pizzas on a deal! Called to complain, first guy I spoke to was great. He said he'd replace the food now or next time. I said I'd do it next time as Papa John's was my go to, maybe it was just a 1 off. Next time I called to claim said pizzas I was told I wasn't aloud to claim now and it was a different manager. She wouldn't give me her name but she sounded young and of Indian accent (only way to describe her). Her customer service skills were awful. Ended up taking it further with the complaint.. no reply as of yet. So £28 down as it stands, hopefully il get a reply, who knows. Never again!"

"Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I placed a delivery order yesterday and waited over an hour, even though the app showed the pizza was delivered within minutes.
