"Food was ok at best. Service ridiculous, no sauce for kids chicken nuggets, got offered brown sauce or mustard. They had a busy day before. Asked for extra Yorkshire pudding, only to get ignored, then when questioned said it was because there were several tablets with big orders . Don 't small orders matter? Be careful guys! Might not have food soon if have a busy day before! Sadly won 't be returning! Meal type: Lunch"

"Very good Greek food in a cozy small restaurant (about 12 tables , located in a strip mall on Applegate Rd. After Taverna Ouzo closed its doors (coincidentally, it was located on the same Applegate Rd. quite a few years ago, there weren 't any authentic Greek restaurants in the area, so we are happy with our new finding. Faros (apparently, owned, managed, and served by people of Greek descent serves fully authentic and deliciously prepared Greek cuisine. The menu is extensive, there is a variety of choices for every taste and like. The food is fresh, the grilled dishes are thoroughly prepared to perfection. The hot appetizers platter Zesta pikilia tis pareas (assortment of tiropitakia, keftedakia, dolmadakia, spanakopitakia, and gigantes is ideal for two people and is offered for a budget friendly price of $20.5. The main courses, both traditional Greek specialties, souvlaki, and gyro platters are on the bigger side, definitely guaranteeing a need for box it up, please . The overall pricing is in today 's day and age certainly decent. Undoubtedly, highly recommended."

"A bit disappointing overall really. They came to take our order but we weren’t quite ready and we asked if we could order our drinks first and they said they were too busy so they’d come back and take everything altogether. Never heard anyone take that approach before but we didn’t have much choice. Then we ordered and our food came quickly, but our drinks didn’t come until we’d very nearly finished our meal (and had chased twice). Maybe if they had taken our drinks order first, they might have at least arrived with the food? Who knows. The food itself tasted okay, nothing spectacular. I had the Nutella pancakes, but it’s Nutella yoghurt which had a tang to it. Not sure if they mix the Nutella with yoghurt themselves as I’ve not seen Nutella yoghurt before. The portion was tiny, especially for the price. The Oreo milkshake was quite nice though. I wouldn’t go back. One of the servers (not the one who took our order) was apologetic re the wait for drinks etc and was lovely."

"the person on the other side was not great to communicate. the slime was a fair piece. when I collected the pizza, it was personal in order. pizza was a big size, tomato sauce is 2. to none! they are very generous with the quality toppings. I left 4 stars because I personally did not like the thick of the basic, it was too thick not wearing much taste, the texture was like a thick brot. they also have no card machine in take-off area."

"restaurant was absolutely freezing. even the staff put their coats on. slow service due to staff chatting or being on their phones. quite clearly advertised 2 courses for £17.50 but when it came to getting the bill we were charged full price. queried this but were told that offer ended in October despite it still being in black and white on the menu. the meatballs completely fell apart so it may as well just have been a bowl of mince. chicken and pitta were bland and burnt. they've completely lost the family run restaurant feeling which is a shame. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30"

"Your chef served me and my wife raw chicken yesterday and the result of that is that my wife has severe food poisoning and has been between the toilet and bed all day, luckily iv escaped it with a few trips to the toilet. If any of the staff read this, you'll know exactly who I am as I confronted the waitresses and showed the chef the uncooked chicken that was served before walking out the restaurant, refusing to pay. This happened approximately 14:00hrs 17/11/2024. Check your CCTV if in doubt. Not even an apology from the chef!!"

"Awful! Only ones eating, always a concern. We had 3 £34 meze’s, granted you get a selection of starters but 1 prawn, 1 mussel, 1 frozen crab claw, 1 hard meatball etc… the mains beef/chicken/fish all spicy hot like a madras not what a stifado etc should be. Chicken gyro/kebab £16 and disappointing. 4 drinks avg £20.Family of 4 with 2 drinks each £200 avg, but more like a bad Indian than a Greek restaurant, not surprised it’s always empty. Sent a lot more back than we ate!"

"It was great! The fish was tender and melted in your mouth with the golden, crispy batter that coats the fresh fish. The service from the young man was great with the portions and his polite manners. I would recommend it to anyone passing by, with its wide range of food for all types of food what you would expect from a chip shop. They always have a conversation with you and always are nice with out a. Fault"

"What a beautiful, sunny, dog-friendly place! We had breakfast there on a Saturday morning after reserving a table for four online. We sat on the veranda, enjoying the sunshine. The service was outstanding—very friendly and quick. The food was delicious, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. I ordered the steak and eggs, which came with mushrooms and tomatoes, and I added a side of toast. I also enjoyed a delicious mocha and couldn’t resist trying a cappuccino as well. I will definitely return soon—possibly as early as tomorrow—to explore the farm shop too! 10/10!"

"Absolutely fantastic. My expectations are generally not high in super-touristy spots like this but I was thoroughly impressed by the Eaten Cafe. Very friendly service, great prices (meal deal of sandwich drink crisps for under 8 quid) and very, very tasty. I had a chicken bacon sandwich and although a monster door-stop turned up the fact they use very fresh light fluffy bread meant I was satisfied but not writing off my need for an evening meal. Both the gent and the lady who served me were all smiles and my food came out quickly. Well done Eaten Cafe I'm in town another week or so you'll probably see my face again ! Thank you keep up the great work."

"To be honest... bitterly bitterly disappointed. The menu looked and sounded so good, however, the standard and quality of food is nowhere near restaurant quality. If it was a greasy spoon cafe I'd have given three stars but for an alleged speciality pizza and burger diner it's a big fail.Waiting staff were polite and smiley and can't fault them on that, but attention and observations needed for great waiting staff wasn't there. The taste of the food was okay, it wasn't anywhere near what you'd expect. We ordered cheesy chilli nachos as a starter as well as cheesy chips. On the menu described the nachos as being handcut... that must be urban slang for Aldi's basic tortilla chips, smothered in a greasy watery mince covered with some liquid cheese. At least there was plenty of fresh chopped chillis as that was the only part that had flavour, they must have had over ordered the fresh chilli's which I'll explain shortly. Chips were again straight from Aldis frozen section and had the taste of actually being from the oven rather a fryer, smothered in the same liquid cheese and with fresh cut chillis on top?!?Pizza was okay but had suffered from sitting under a heat lamp too long and this can be said for the chicken burger as well.. brioche bun stale and dry chicken over done. The worst offender of the night was the creamy cajun chicken pasta dish that my daughter ordered. This is where the query about the chilli over order comes in... the top of the dish was layered in fresh cut red chillis which in the menu was no mention of. The title of creamy could also be called into question as the amount of oil at the bottom of the dish was curdling anything creamy. The pasta had been boiled then added to a frying pan that was cooking the peppers, onions and chicken in a sea of oil then tossed in with what ever tiny amount of cream and spice they had then straight into a bowl and served. Again like before the taste wasn't terrible however was more like what your Nan would serve on her first attempt at cooking with pasta and olive oil, when her special is mince and tatties. The problem is, on looking at the kitchen staff I can't bring myself to use the words chefs) they certainly give the appearance of not being skilled or anywhere near experienced. If someone had said the week earlier they were actually part of the Standalane rail bridge repair crew I wouldn't have doubted it. That's it in a nutshell, no actual proper chef would prepare or even allow waiting staff to present these dishes to customers. If Gordon Ramsey had popped out of the toilets and was filming an episode of Kitchen Nightmares it would have all made sense.I have made some humour to this post however they definitely need an experienced member of waiting staff to supervise the floor and an actual chef or two in the kitchen...There was plenty of other complaints but you get the jist... just not very good. The first pic is the chips all the chillis around the side are actually from the pasta dish the excess ones she couldn't eat for fear of burning out her taste buds. The starters were still left on the table when they delivered the mains"

"Love the dark hot chocolate here, so rich. Ordering that every time we visit. Had lunches here before, mussels were amazing Ordered poached eggs with Haggis on muffin, and a full breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed them! Along with the dark hot chocolate, that was £24, not bad at all considering how much it costs to run a business these days. Vegetarian options: Veggie breakfast available, and instead of meat topping options for omelette/poached eggs, there is spinach available. Parking: Free Street parking with disc, one hour free on Kempock Street, 3 hours on street at the back. If it's really busy there's also the paid public car park by the Clyde operated by the local council Kid-friendliness: High chair available Wheelchair accessibility: No step at door, accessible toilet available. Not sure if the restaurant above is the same though"

"My rating is in relation also to the other options near by and generally in Cheshunt. I visited for the first time and I made a grave error, I ordered the main 'Greek box ' they sell but got salad with it to go. By the time I got home the food was bone cold and it was a poor experience. Ever eager to try it as intended and not to be quick to judge, I visited again but this time asked the salad to be put separately. I would highly recommend this if you 're not eating it then and there. Night and day difference. The chicken and halloumi options are very satisfying as a quick bite at lunch time, the meal box is only £5.50 and allows you to add extras for £1 more, making the menu versatile and fun. Chicken and halloumi cooked perfectly and when only stored with the chips they were perfect by the time I got home. As I 'm gluten free the box meal works out perfect for me compared to the gyros which are also on the menu. What I love about it is you can make your meal healthy or more hearty with the options you select, for such a small place it really gives more varied options as the area is saturated with kebab and fried chicken fast food establishments. Next time I grab a box I will be sure to add pics(now added). I know it 's new but don 't be shy, I 'd recommend giving it a try and keeping an open mind."

"We went to Swansea for a long weekend and this restaurant was one of the highlights. I don't usually leave reviews but, I promised the guy who served I would. We got the mixed grill which was a platter shared between two. It was delicious, and the meat served was was moist and full of flavour.Great service all around! Charismatic waiter and great food, what more can you want!"

"I have eaten from Anastasia more than ten times since it opened and it has become my favourite take away, I usually get the Gyros chcken kebab with salad which has always been gorgeous , ample for one, nice bread and lovely fresh salad with home made Coleslaw. Have recently had the Anastasia special burger which was beautiful with char grilled chicken breast and crispy onion rings and a monster thick homemade burger inside, looking forward to trying everything else. Staff are friendly and speedy delivery ensures it always arrives hot. The garlic bread with tomato and chilli and stilton is to die for. Recommended to all my friends who all love it also. Try it you won't go wrong."

"Been meaning to try this place for a little while. On a Wednesday evening (from 5:30pm onwards) it is Chicken Gyros takeaway and it is proving very popular, I was almost queueing out of the door. There is a Haloumi Gyros option or mixed and also a Greek Salad plus cake. Also if you purchase drinks you can eat in the the very pleasant rear garden. The Chicken Gyros is very tasty and a meal in itself, I haven't tried the Haloumi option but if the chicken is anything to go by I imagine it will be just as good and essentially just the same as a Greek Gyros. Quite a healthy option for just £5"
