"Stayed close to this place a couple of times at the caravan club site at rowntree Park. Staying in York now elsewhere and fancied an Indian and having looked at all the Indians we were drawn back here. So glad we tried it and can't...believe we've never done before. The food was so tasty and the portions were very ample. We'll be coming back again next time we stay at rowntree Park. We had the set meal for 2 and before 7pm it's 15% off Sunday to Thursday off the bill. Staff brilliant, service great and no rush between courses."

"We had a table booked for 7:15pm and to their credit, the staff allowed us to purchase drinks from a nearby place as we were a bit late. There were four of us and the restaurant was empty except for a couple at the table next to us. We opted to skip starters and were served poppadoms promptly. However, our main meals were not served until 9:15pm. Throughout the wait, the staff kept assuring us that our food would be ready "in 5 minutes", which turned out to be a lot longer. It was evident that they were prioritizing takeout orders over us. We considered leaving a few times and looking back, I'm surprised we didn't. It was disappointing because the food was good and we've had positive experiences at this restaurant in the past. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor and we will not be returning."

"Since we last visited some years ago the Everest has made a real effort with their décor including a new beer garden out front. Lighting inside is decorative and colourful but overall ambience is a little too bright maybe? Our food was very disappointing, we ordered Everest Special Mismas and Mixed Grill Masala as mains. Both were higher priced dishes that were supposed to include prawns but there were none in either dish. The Mismas didn 't look anything like the menu photo but in fairness they do state Photos are for suggestion only: Actual Platters may appear DIFFERENT . The Masala grill was described as medium sauce but our dish was very mild with no trace of chilli heat. The stuffed paratha was undercooked and greasy. Pilau rice and vegetable bhuna side however were both very good. Kingfisher and Cobra are served on draft but both were charged 30p a pint more than the printed menu price it 's gone up was the explanation. Prices overall are fair but I was hoping for authentic tasty food that at least lived up to the menu descriptions."

"What an absolute find! We happened on this restaurant while visiting Chelsea. TPH is an elegant restaurant featuring a wonderful balance of mainstream dishes with a sophisticated twist. A perfect example is the samosa appetizer. Light and fluffy on the inside and delicately crisp on the outside. This would have been great on it’s on own but was served with a chickpea stew combining a wonderful blend of herbs and spices that made it one of the best things I’ve eaten in quite some time. The menu features rich, textured curries, perfectly tender meats, fresh seafood and veggie dishes served by a gracious husband and wife team who truly care about your dining experience. All this and not while not putting a big dent in your pocketbook. We will definitely be back."

The exigency arrived in a way that, my four year would not want to eat anything but Indian food. Prices are a bit steep but like I said, the food is good however, imagine my surprise when I'm I ordered two double cheeseburgers one night only to have the delivery driver arrive 3 hours later. "I order 2 pack of meal deals 1hun tikka masala, pilau reis and an extra simple naan I said it would be 1 hour and 30 minutes this was good, we waited for 2 hours and when it arrived the food. was cold and we had no soaking with our packings and there was a missing naan broth for the kids also no cries After we had read so many great reviews, we were looking forward to trying it, but tbh was it a let down that was bland and tasteless possibly the worst Indian food I have ever experienced and the service was just as bad. I just wish I had little indie with my ordinary Indian takeaway, which never fails. it cost me £35 for 2 packs 1 huhn tikka masala 2 bags of chips 1 pilau reis and popadoms. when I went to the menu and added the price of the food without the packs it on £16.40 meant that I paid almost £10 for the packs alone. I'm sorry, but that ruined mine at night, and I'm never gonna give it back to me."

The area feels safe even at night, with many pubs and people around. The restaurant has a street-level dining area for those with mobility issues, as well as a smaller back room and a downstairs area for larger groups. "We had a lovely evening with my wife and daughters at this restaurant. It had been a while since our last visit. The staff was friendly and followed Covid safety measures. They were knowledgeable and took great care of us. The food was perfect, with fresh and flavorful spices in all our curries, served at a comfortable pace.
