When inquiring about ingredients for allergies, they bluntly stated they didn't know how the food was sourced. Our group felt like a burden. The service was painfully slow, leading to one member not being able to enjoy their meal as it arrived late. Even after requesting a cooler dessert, it was served too hot and then taken away without our consent. The restroom was cold, unkempt, and lacked basic amenities. "I was out from London Zoo and looking for a place to dine nearby. I was kind of deceived by the google rating of 4.2. However, I think there is something going on with this restaurant that is either management issues or post COVID crisis. There was only one waitress who happens to do almost every thing. He was trying to catch up and multitask but with a lot of mistakes. Everything takes so long to happen. I have to wait a bit for him to pay my check. The price is extremely over the quality of the food and service. Some items in the menu are not available. Do not ask for ice, because they do not have it. Therefore, you have to accept almost room temperature Cola."

"We were in UK last summer and were visiting Edinburgh. I made a mistake and did not do any research of the area for any Indian Restaurants in case of any exigency. The exigency arrived in a way that, my four year would not want to eat anything but Indian food. Seeing him so edgy and cranky we just dashed into the nearest available place and believe me it was a nightmare. The food was bad and service was worst. "We have used the Balti Express for good Indian take-away food for a long time and often, but during September 2019 we had a terrible meal. We ordered a delivery that took just short of two hours to arrive, and then the food was very bland, flavourless and under spiced. It was horrible. The food has always been good before, but this time it was shockingly bad. After many years of this being our take-away, I think it's time for a change. It was terrible. Very sad."

"Got some chips with curry sauce just now on my way home from work. The curry sauce is more like a spicy, warming butternut squash soup. On chips it's a bit weird tho, not really what I expected, and they didn't really go well together. I'd totally pay for this as soup with some flatbread on the side, I think it would easily be a hit at a posh café, so do keep it on the menu"

"During our visit to Cheltenham, we stumbled upon this charming restaurant by chance. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive to all our needs. The restaurant was also very clean and well-maintained. My husband ordered an Afghan chicken dish from the special menu placed on our table and he loved it. I opted for the Bombay Aloo and was not disappointed. The meal came with fluffy pilau rice and a delicious garlic naan bread. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant. Well done!"

"Ordered a late night snack of just eat, ordered spicy rice, a chicken thing in a pita bread, and a quarter pounder with cheese chips. The rice is absolutely vile I’ve had one spoonful and literally made me gag. It’s literally some pilau rice absolutely drenched in paprika chilli flakes or whatever poison is used, no flavour too it at all and now I can’t taste whatever is in this pitta bread (probably a good thing) because my mouth is burning. Absolutely 0 flavour the only thing it actually resembles is what I think would be the taste of petrol. If I’d have known I would of just gone downstairs microwaved some rice and shoved a whole pot of chilli flakes on, and spared myself £2.50. The bread on my boyfriends burger was almost stale, and chips were soggy and cold. Fortunately for you I can’t comment on this thing that looks like a piece of leather in some bread because I can’t ****** taste it. If you’re going to run a takeaway you should atleast make sure you can make decent food. Oh and always check the hygiene rating, but let’s leave that for another day."

"I had booked a table for 2 as it was hubbies birthday. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our table upstairs. Please note there is a lift available). The chair was comfy and plenty of table room. The waiter brought our lunch menu and explained the dishes on offer. Please note they have changed the lunch menu to that shown on their site). It now a choice of three complete menu dishes. We ordered the meat menu and it arrived on a sectioned stainless steel plate and we were not disappointed what was on it. One section for starter, three section holding chicken, lamb different curries, boiled rice and chapatti. Oh boy was it tasty and we cleared our plates. We washed it down with a J20 and Coke. The bill was £25.80 to which £5.90 was for the drinks). I would recommend this place and for one will definitely be going back."

"This Indian restaurant in Edinburgh is probably one of the most overlooked gems. The food felt just like home-cooked meals and the flavors were so delicious that I ended up dining here two days in a row. "Sadly another Takeaway that had a great reputation and customer service but since new owns have taken over no so much service isn't good and owner doesnt understand that that he should remove items from his menu no raise the price of items and deals but then refuse to sell them i would rather pay to have new menus printed with the correct items and deal that i am willing to sell at those prices and not have to pay a fine for false advertising. But sadly it's only the latest of a sting of local takeaways in this area that have change owners and the new owns who bought the business because it was doing so well wont have the same level of custom as they dont seem to understand the things the previous owners did that got them those customer levels. Some rule for achieve this is. If it is not broke dont try to fix it. But to many these people think they know better."

"Worst curry I have ever had!!!! The veggie Madras was a watery potato stew with a chilli thrown in for good luck and my partner’s chicken masala had no flavour with a lot of water! Even the saag aloo had no taste and way too much spinach; should have used some of the potatoes from the Madras to even it out! "khanage is a hidden gem hidden at the end of the northern line true lahori eating served in a really funny environment. the ambiente agreed to the quality of eating, delicious nihari (laminschus) served with kulcha naan, lamb pasande (filled lamb slices) served with tandoori roti both favourite dishes were just so delicious and the meat melted in our mouth. the seasoned were just really not mouth-burning, so they enjoyed all the different seasoned. the waiters were attentive and made sure that we were well looked around we will go back and forth"
