"we noticed something unusual in this curry house. there was a female waitress. do you think about how often do you see female waiters in curry houses?? it's not bizarre! Anyway, she smoked hot and was also British Indian. not from bangladesh or where they usually come from. Anyway, eating was great. the restaurant was perhaps a little small, and we noticed that many people came to get away. the bar area was very small, but well equipped. I would give the place eight out of ten and would highly recommend it for people who like spicy food and hot women. only fun. about the hot women!"

about this restaurant in the first night of our stay, we were close and it rained so easy a quick decision made and went into, best decision ever, excellent eating, wein and service in the second to none, we will go back in spite of being. if we stay in york

good quality eat but very expensive. ordered mixed starter, an afgan lamb, specialty rice and a naan brot. the minute delivery was instructed and an hour later we asked for our delivery. they said it was on the way, minutes later it came slightly warm and the man asked for full payment. after a lot of discussion we got a abduction bit that was eating well under standard for the price.

the load looks good from the outside, but I will never use this place again. have you seen the kitchen area? go to the back of the shop and see it itself as if it weren't a wood hack bolted on the back of the shop. as if this is not bad enough, they block folk cars for parking near where the manager likes to park asking dominos pizza driver) it is a parking not a private area and the staff can be honestly rude, arrogant and stroppy to say the least. I have probably checked the lal before, but it must be said that it is still one of the best Indian restaurants in york. the workers are professional and courteous, but busy they are and eating is so good. in my take, there are usually enough to make two meal times, but I would have torn off this tonight. so many places seem to have a tub of orange bells that is tweet for everything on the menu (or not,) but the lal quila really makes every dish special.

Stayed close to this place a couple of times at the caravan club site at rowntree Park. Staying in York now elsewhere and fancied an Indian and having looked at all the Indians we were drawn back here. So glad we tried it and can't...believe we've never done before. The food was so tasty and the portions were very ample. We'll be coming back again next time we stay at rowntree Park. We had the set meal for 2 and before 7pm it's 15% off Sunday to Thursday off the bill. Staff brilliant, service great and no rush between courses.
