"went here with two friends last night, hadn't been there for a very long time, so was looking forward to a revisit. Good atmosphere in the restaurant, but we were sort of left to choose our own table, no one really did a meet and greet when we arrived. Service was good and we were given menus pretty quickly. We then placed our orders (we had brought our own wine . There were two things that irritated my husband and I though there was a diner who seemed to know the front of house guy and although he had come into the restaurant well after we had sat down, he was served with his food well before we were, and he also seemed to be smoking with a vape (and there was clearly a No Smoking sign on the door to the restaurant! . The food was enjoyable, but we found our particular dishes quite salty, and my husband's fish starter (cannot remember what it was called, but it was the first on the list of fish specials was quite dry and chewy. My salmon starter was delicious! Perhaps a touch overcooked, but delicious nonetheless! Our main courses were nice, but the Bhindi bhaji was drowning in a rich tomatoey sauce, and there seemed to be more tomatoey sauce than bhindi. The restaurant were only accepting cash payments, there was no explanation as to why we couldn't use credit cards. Not terribly keen on the lurid green raita either a bit on the sweet side really."

"We live in Marlow and have been to Sindhu a number of times, and previously enjoyed it. Not this time the food was good (not great) but the service was appalling. Way too rushed and unprofessional. We arrived at Sindhu around 7:45pm, expecting to have a pre dinner drink at the table. No chance! The first thing we were offered were popadums, then they took our drinks order. We opted for the wine pairing to go with the tasting menu. The total bill for two came to £325, but as this was our first night out together in months we were happy to pay this for a long evening with good food and drink. The first course came before we had finished the popadums, but it seemed to speed up from there. Th courses were small, but we were expecting that, but what we weren’t expecting was to be given the next course as soon as the previous one finished. Each wine was brought over with a very unenthusiastic rushed explanation of what it was. At one point we asked the waitress if we could delay the main course to give us chance to breathe between courses. She didn’t really understand what we were asking and stated that we had a palate cleaner before the main course. Which arrived immediately. Our meal was done by 9:45, 7 courses plus popadums all served in two hours, 15 minutes to eat a course and drink a glass of wine. We were the last table in the restaurant (there were only 6 tables altogether on a Friday night). When we left, the waiter already had his hoody on ready to leave, emphasising that the staff were just wanting to leave. At it was only 10pm! We won’t be returning. No way should this be considered Michelin starred food."
