I recently had one of the best steaks of my life at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a perfect 5 out of 5. The price per person for dinner was between £40-£50.

Had a birthday meal with friends here. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides are delicious and just as I was expecting. A good selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. The service was good and the restaurant had a nice ambiance, but I was disappointed with the quality of my steak considering it cost over 30 pounds. The fries and mushrooms were also not up to par. Overall, I found the food to be overpriced for what was offered. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

A bit pricey but the steaks were delicious. They ran out of the T-bone steak before we could order one, but we had the ribeye and the porter and they were tasty! Very nice service as well. This is our second time here and first time since the move to the bigger restaurant...glad to say that the quality and service is still as good. Sabina was amazing and looked after us extremely well. The food was awesome, prawns to start and steaks for main were perfect. Highly recommend and we will be back next time we are in York. Wife and I had the Christmas menu, she had pumpkin soup and venison haunch, I had goat cheese tart, lamb roast and we shared my sticky toffee pudding. Everything was excellent, and well worth the cost. Sticky toffee especially was spectacular. Friendly and attentive staff, who accommodated us even though we had no reservation. While not the most affordable option, this restaurant serves excellent steaks. The beef cheeks were cooked to perfection. There were some issues with the timing of the courses, but the staff apologized and quickly resolved the issue. The restaurant is very welcoming to children. The service was top-notch. I dined in for lunch and spent around £30-40 per person. The food was delicious, earning a 5 out of 5 rating, while the service and atmosphere received a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Salt Aged Porter House Steak with Truffle and Parmesan Chips and Baked Leeks.

I was staying at the Hilton around the corner and their restaurant said there is a 2 hour wait, so I immediately looked up where is a good steak place to eat near me, and Corner Grill House was the top choice. I didn’t hesitate and went straight there, at first I was told it is booked as well, and I would have to come back later, and to my luck someone just paid and I had the first available table. Service was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and the steak I had was exactly what I was looking for!! I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting great service and great food.
